Pretty small but cute place. Very little indoor seating but it's good for a quick grab and go. Service was amazing! Even though there was only one girl behind the counter. She was able to help and push through several family's worth of people with very little delay. Ice cream is pretty generic over all but still good flavors. Decent selection overall but I do with thy would try to use less dyes in half of their options. I got the peanut butter chocolate chip into a milkshake. Just the right amount of richness with a soothing peanut butter flavor. Chips are just a bonus in flavor. Location is pretty easy to get in and out with plenty of parking. read more

Lutz Scoops is a delicious ice cream shop located right in the Publix shopping plaza on the corner of North Dale Mabry & Lutz Lake Fern Rd. Their ice cream is fresh churned and always a delight! Stopped by here for dessert, and we were not disappointed. The ice cream was delicious. The peanut butter chocolate was creamy and flavorful. We also got the chocolate chip cheesecake, and you could take the cheesecake. The waffle cones were made perfectly. The 2 girls that were working were super nice and helpful. The inside is a little small, so it's not a place you can really go in sit inside and eat the ice cream, but that was fine. We just ate it on the way home. We will be back for sure read more

What a fun little spot to grab ice cream! This was our second time stopping in and the ice cream is delicious. It's not a huge space but there is some bar seating inside and a few benches outside. They have a large variety of ice cream flavors and you can also get a milkshake. Tons of fun toppings and sprinkle options. The 3 ladies behind the counter were all smiling, super friendly and welcoming. The location was very clean inside and there's plenty of parking available. When we arrived, it was a quick in and out experience but we were able to sit outside on a bench and enjoy our ice cream. Definitely recommend! read more

I called on a Saturday evening like 15 minutes before closing and inquired if it was okay for us to come even if we were running 2 minutes late. We got there at 9:57 upon pulling up one employee who looked like she was about to mop the floor ran to the back and turned the lights if I have been coming here for ice cream for years, since the new ownership took place the service has been terrible I will never return or recommend anyone to sport this ice cream. read more

I tried this ice cream recently. It was delicious. I got the chocolate peanut butter and the peanut butter ice cream with Oreo cookies. I added "hot fudge" for $1.00. I expected for it to be hot. Turns out, it's chocolate sauce from a squirt bottle. This place would be 5 starts for me if it was actual hot fudge. Energetic staff with a variety of ice cream options. The choices varied from the standard chocolate to a colorful birthday cake creation. I ordered a shake with cinnamon and Snickers ice cream and I added Oreo. The shake was very good and the perfect consistency for my preference (I don't like thick shakes) but it was pricey at just under $10. The price did jump because they charge for whipped cream and a cherry which I didn't notice until after I was asked if I wanted to add it without being promoted it cost extra. In my opinion if you are going to upsell you have to let the person know that it will be an additional charge especially for something that is usually free. read more

It was my first time at Lutz Scoops. Very cute place! Very bright and inviting. My son had a cookies and cream on a waffle cone. He was very pleased. I wanted plain coffee ice cream but they didn't have it. Must not be a crowd pleaser anymore because no one has it. They had a jazzed up coffee with chocolate, but it had a super strong coffee flavor. So I opted for the butterscotch bomb and sure glad I did! It had butterscotch, brownie pieces and peanut bits. My kids say the ice cream is good. My daughter wanted the smallest size which looks to be one scoop. Any flavor in that size is $4 or so. My daughter wanted a half scoop of one flavor and a half of another. This should not be complicated. I was told by the employee that you can't do it because each ice cream has a different value and it could not happen. I said any ice cream in this cup is 4 dollars what does it matter if I split it? I never experienced a problem anywhere else, so to me this was absurd. Kindness goes a long way. It keeps customers coming back and helps the word spread about a friendly ice cream shop that put a smile on a girls face when she wanted her two favorite flavors in the equivalent of one scoop. read more
