DONT GO TO TIFFANY. If you are not one of her regulars or a white woman, she will def treat you like trash. I called on a Friday and make an appt for a manicure and pedicure at 12:30 the following Sunday. I was 15mins late for my appt, however, when I arrived Tiffany was still doing someone else's nails, so me being late didn't make a difference. i get in the chair finally and she's saying she can't do my pedi because of the back to back appts. I say ok because she made it seem like she couldn't accomodate anyone Else. A girl walks in and says she has an appt with someone else, who had to leave or a family emergency. Tiffany agrees to do her pedicure. so now I'm livid. I ask Her why she can do someone else's WHO WASNT HER APPT, but she cant do mine. she tries to blame it on me being late but I remind her that she was doing someone else's nails when I got here, so she was also running late herself. Idk if it's because I'm black and Tiffany is a racist or because I'm not a regular consistent customer but it was messed up how she tried to solely blame it on me. This was my first time here and I won't be back. My sister is a regular customer of Tiffany's And referred me and it was awful. She rushed through my manicure and it was not even that good. i was very underwhelmed considering my sister loves her. WILL NOT BE BACK! very clean facility tho read more

This is without a doubt the BEST nail salon I have ever been to! The pedicure was AWESOME! The gel manicure was also delightful!

Sophia was ok but she filed the ends of my nails at the end of the manicure so I asked her to put more finishing polish on. Filing the tips of the nails is a big no no and will cause your manicure to peel. She also had an animated phone call from a boyfriend I suspect, at 6pm, but claimed it was an interview. Rude nonetheless. The top coat polish bottle appeared to be empty and my nail polish now complete is not as thick as usual. I hope that this manicure will last at least a couple of weeks. If not I'll be reviewing again. You'd think that she would want to build a customer clientele by taking good care of customers. read more

I have been to Lux 3 times now. All 3 experiences were top notch. The decor and atmosphere are clean, modern, and relaxing. The staff are very friendly, and one of my favorite things about Lux is they don't ask you if you want additional services. It drives me nuts when I come in for a manicure and halfway though the manicure the manicurist asks if I want a pedicure or wax. They have never done that to me at Lux, and I appreciate that. Also, I have never had a gel manicure last as long as the ones I've gotten here. No chips at all, ever. They stay on perfectly until they're so grown out I have to get a new one. Super nice and clean nail salon close to my house. I went in after my ex-husband took our daughter there for a manicure and he said how sweet all the techs were. I went in today for a fill and my tech remembered them from over a month ago. We had a lovely conversation, and my nails are perfect. My granddaughter and I stopped in to this beautiful little shop to have a pedicure and for me to have my a gel fill. We had not scheduled appointments. We were greeted immediately and asked to pick out our colors and escorted back to the pedicure chairs. The pedicure was wonderful , both my granddaughter and I badly needed one and our very kind technicians didn't even gasp in the horror when they took a look at our toes ! It was a very relaxing experience. My granddaughter let her toes dry while I had my gel fill ...please keep in mind that I badly needed a gel fill as well, it had been over three weeks since my last one and the technician I went to at another salon really did not do a great job. The same young man who work miracles on my toes now started to work on my nails. I have to tell you that my nails look fabulous. My granddaughter and I walked out of this beautiful salon knowing that we would return again. I would highly recommend. read more

I went recently for the first time because the salon is close to my job. The girl doing my pedicure didn't speak one word to me... she seemed like she was in a rush to finish. She was very rough and hurt me, which I told her and she didn't seem to care or respond. I had to remind her to do things which were supposedly included in the pedicure I chose. When she finally did finish she just got up and walked away to help someone else and left me sitting there... still never speaking a single word to me. Eventually another worker came up and gave me my shoes. Terrible service. I'll never go back and I'll be sure to tell everyone about my experience. read more

Excellent first experience at Lux! My friend and I both enjoyed our pedicures and appreciated the private spot for just two people. Their classic pedi is much better than others I've had elsewhere. The environment is relaxing - you don't feel like they are rushing through to just get to the next costumer. I've tried every nail salon in the Annapolis area since moving here a year ago and Lux Nail Bar is by far the BEST!!! My gel manicure always lasts over 2 weeks and their pedicures are so relaxing. Everyone does a great job, but Sophia is my favorite!! In fact, my water broke mid-manicure a few weeks ago and she insisted on finishing the manicure while waiting for my husband to pick me up! As I walked in, the workers were very nice and extremely helpful. I got gel on my nails and I loved the color choices that they had. I was pleased with their service as it was relaxing and I really enjoyed conversing with them. My nails looked great and I was happy that I found a nice place to go to. So far, a few days later, my nails haven't chipped or anything however, I do have a tint of yellow on top of my gel which really made me upset since I really loved this place. Can't decide if I'm going to go back in the future because I want to but I don't like this tint that I have. read more

The team here are extremely skilled and pay very close attention to detail. Great layout, clean and relaxing. They offer the Jello pedicure here and it's absolutely amazing. They also give complimentary wine with your pedicure. Sofia is pretty fast, as she can do a full set in about forty-five minutes. She is precise in what she's doing and though she moves fast, I have NEVER been cut by her. The staff are also very professional and put together. They don't have loud conversations or kick their flip flops off. This is the BEST place in Annapolis to get your nails done (I tried every single nail salon). read more

LUX nails is the best nail salon I have every been to. The owner did a really good job with décor. It is clean, well maintained and the salon is filled with aromatherapy. I was so relaxed and felt taken good care of when done. Not only that they offer snacks and "beverages" while you are being pampered. Worst manicure i have EVER had. First they would not use the polish I brought with me though it was OPI, the same as they use--they said it would take too long to dry. The manicurist brought a similar color, but it was defective. I was told they did not have in stock the next 3 colors I chose from their color chart. Finally she brought a color similar to one I thought might work. When she put it on the first nail I realized that it was too bright for my skin tone. She insisted it was "Pretty" . I did not disagree, only said again that I did not like it with my skin tone. She told me that I "would have to get used to wearing different colors".!!! I was beyond furious but had no options . I was from out of town, had an important event starting the next day and it was too late to find someone else. AND, 2 days later it looked as if I had glued artificial nails on my fingers. Horrible!!!! I would have been better off had I just walked out before she put the polish on. My mistake. I warn you --if you go here you will be sorry--How they were rated so high in the area is beyond me. I had chosen them from the list of top 10 nail salons in Annapolis. HA! read more
