This nail salon is close to my home, otherwise I would never go here. My first experience was 7 years ago when I moved to the neighborhood. I practically left in tears because the lady doing my nails was so rude! Other clients told me to give it another try, but it's never been a pleasant experience. Tonight, I requested and paid for a mani pedi. Going on vacation. Pedicure by Jenny was immaculate. Harliegh was supposed to do my nails and argued with me the entire time. I have very thin nails and have been told by my medical team not to have my cuticle cut. I have low immunity and need to be very careful. She made a big scene and angrily stomped of refusing to do my nails. It was incredibly embarrassing, but I have no regrets asking for what I need medically. I going here. LiLi Mindy or Titi. My nails ALWAYS look incredible when I leave. Never too thick, if i break a nail or one pops off (my natural nails grow upward so popping off is no fault of the tech the ladies are happy to do it for free. Titi called Mindy AT HOME to match the color repairing my nails one time) Mindy figured out why my nails need frequent attention. LiLi is a newer tech here, but she is also meticulous and careful. Bliss nails charges me upwards of $200, I can get a full set, coffin shape, fancy French manicure, designs AND my eyebrows for around $100 & in about an hour. If anyone is running late it's b/c the client before you was running late. The vibe is light & fun. Haven't gotten my nails done since October and I just really wanted to bc I was tired of how my nails were looking and didn't want to maintain them myself so I googled the closest nail place and I chose this one (it wasn't the closest) but it looked the best from what I could tell. Walked in, asked if they did gel manicures, lady said yes and I choose my color and was sat right away. I honestly thought I'd be there 30 min to an hour. Well I want to start off by saying I walked in with a good attitude but left feeling meh. The tech I had did a good job at shaping and making g the nails uniform. Then I guess I got on her nerves enough where she didn't feel the need to clean off my nails after curing the gel. In the end my nails came up to $65 for a gel fill and reshape. Very pricey in my opinion. Oh yeah she also made me bleed and didn't fix that...so overall, not the best place. Look elsewhere. read more

BEWARE BEWARE BEWARE My granddaughters went to the nail salon on 12/27/2023. I purchased gift cards for all 3. I explained what I wanted to have done and was told by a professional staff member that the cost for what I asked for would be a certain price. However, when checking out, the price ended up being more than $76 extra. The manager, Titi, was asked by my daughter why the additional charge was so much and was confronted by an aggressive and hostile response. Raised voice on her part and speaking so my daughter could not understand her. Still no explanation for the enormous difference. Titi was very dishonest about the charges and failed to explain the discrepancies. By the way, the nail polish on all 3 girls was chipped in many places by the next morning. The interaction with Titi put a damper on the experience that I wanted my granddaughters to have. They are still talking about the hostility. Their brochure does not reflect the pricing which again is extremely inaccurate and the computer screen does not match anything at all, neither does the receipt. . Interestingly, the granddaughters told me that the ladies who did the nails were rude and in a hurry. Strange for a 6, 9 and 11 year old to say that. If you read the review from Devon in July 2021, it pretty much reflects the current experience. I would never subject the children to that kind of behavior again from adult professionals. Do not go here, despite how convenient it might feel to those of us that live on the Broadneck peninsula. They are dishonest when it comes to pricing...it's inconsistent and fraudulent. You will find different prices for different services depending on the employee, pamphlet, or computer system that you reference. If you question the charges, watch out! They will come at you with aggression, denial, and a terrible attitude. Oh! And they won't fix the problem. Terrible place. Terrible service. Terrible ethics. Terrible aesthetics. I would give this place a 0 if I could. One of the employees, Titi, was the most ignorant and rude nail specialist I've EVER had. She also rushed through the pedicure and manicure. She started the manicure WHILE I was still getting my pedicure. Customers kept coming in and she was seating them, taking calls and making appointments, all while rushing through my nails. Paying no attention to the customer she had in front of her. I will never go back again. I've been to a lot of nail salons and rarely complain. The only reason I am taking a star off, is because Jenna repeatedly told my God-Daughter that the only way she could do the designs, was by using gel not regular polish -- Total nonsense, but I didn't even care about that. I told her that it was okay to go ahead and do that, yet she continued to bring it up over and over. I started to think that maybe she was trying to talk my kid out of doing the design, so I asked her if she could do the design and she said yes, then repeated again that she could only do it in gel..I said that's fine..she said it will cost more..again I said that's still fine. She ended up doing it, and did an excellent job. I have a happy teenager, so therefor I am happy. Just could of done without the repetitive situation. Maybe she was nervous about doing the design, or just didn't want to do it. She did seem thrown way off when my God-Daughter showed her the picture of the design she wanted. I don't think she was expecting something so complicated. But if she didn't want to do it, then she could of just said that too. Would not recommend! I made an appointment for a manicure and a pedicure. Of coarse, I had to wait about 15 minutes after my appointment time before I was taken. I did request the Signature Pedicure which is about 60 minutes - after 2 hours in the chair I was finally done. The technician put me at the drying station and then moved on to another client instead of starting my manicure. Unprofessional, slow and rude. read more

My friend and I were walk-ins and they took us right away but they squeezed us in between other customers without having available techs and without telling us, impacting the other customer's service and ours. I hate it when they glue your tips on and then walk away to help someone else, essentially trapping you there until they can get back to you, which is what happened to me. My friend's manicure was $45, which I thought was pricey, and the lady working with her was on the phone. She was so distracted she painted my friend's nails the wrong color. I went to this salon because it's super close to where I live. Bella didn't seem to want to do my nails. She was really rough and kept telling me how difficult dip nails are to apply. She worked very quickly. I'm the end, my cuticles were bleeding in multiple spots from her hitting them with the grinder and my fingertips were cut from her using a course file too harshly. Afterwards, she put oil on my cuticles and told me not to touch it. That was probably to hide the cuticle damage and polish that remained on my skin. I had clear polish on my skin and had to remove dip from under my nails to separate my skin from my nails. I left in pain which has never happened to me before. My nails look great after cleaning them up at home but my hands ache the day after. I would never recommend this place and won't return. If Bella didn't want to do my manicure, she could have said no and I would have gone elsewhere. read more

I have an apartment in Towson and came to Annapolis to visit my parents and needed a pedicure I called the day before and schedule a 10 o'clock appointment. I asked for the classic pedicure, my nail tech Bella did not exfoliate my legs or feet at all totally skipped this part of the pedicure.. and the classic pedicure comes with sea exfoliation as it says on the guide. She also only put lotion on one of my legs. She did not message my feet or legs at all. I am giving it one star because the polish on my toes looks okay, but that was the only thing done, Bella totally skipped over any relaxing part of the pedicure. At the end I asked her and said is exfoliation apart of the pedicure? and all she said is she had to shorten it and still charged me 70 dollars.... Also during the pedicure I asked her to take off my remaining acrylic nails and she tried to rip them off with another acrylic nail. My mother used to be a nail tech and this is a tell tale sign that the place or nail tech does not care about the health of one's nails. It a huge no no to rip of acrylic nails and not soak them. I work in the service industry and still gave her a tip because I am a nice person, but I will not be returning. read more

I usually do not write reviews however, this one was necessary. maybe it will help your staff in being more mindful of the way they treat clients who are spending their hard earned money. After moving to the area 5 years ago I thought I had found my new salon, NOT! I was going every two weeks to get a mani/pedi. After my 3rd visit I was expecting the technicians to be more familiar and I see that I was a loyal customer, NOT! I observed them showing favoritism towards their clients of a particular race while treating everyone else very rude and nasty. They would take these particular clients before they would take others that had come into the salon before them. Their excuse would be that they had an appointment. Even the client would look surprised by this as if to say they really didn't have an appointment but OK, why not. On one occasion the technician who was servicing me had an entire conversation while doing my pedicure, never even introducing themselves to me or make eye contact. It was if I wasn't even there. After a few months of this behavior I decided to take my business elsewhere. This brings me to the present day...I broke a nail and needed a repair, it was late and Bay Hill is 3 minutes from my home. Let's just say old habits die hard. The reception I received was very rude and uninviting. She made me feel as if she really did not want to repair my nail. I sucked it up and allowed her to do what I would say is a poor job. I paid to have 2 nails repaired and she didn't even bother to file my crooked broken nail, just slopped some polish on it. She had the nerve to ask why do I travel so far to have my nails done. I found this place very unprofessional since I was passed o to three different people just so they could put more people in the seats without appointments. VERY DISAPPOINTED! I have been a customer at this nail salon for the past seven years. Over the years, I had taken one of my three girls individually at a time. (let me say, my girls are well behaved enough to go sit for an hour to an 1 1/2 at nail salon . This was not their first , 2nd or 3rd time each. I wouldn't bring them if I thought they would be a problem) Today was a big day for my five-year-old, so I decided to take her and her two sisters to get their toes and nails polished while I received a pedicure. I made an appointment for 1 adult and 3 children at 10 o'clock for 12:15 PM. They happily took the appointment knowing they were children and that the girls were coming in for nail and toe polish with a design. However when we got there it was so busy they didn't take my girls back for 40 minutes and took me back after 20. The women who worked there were flustered with my girls,rude and had no patience whatsoever . I'm a mom of four children and I have patience and I can also recognize when they are being out of hand or misbehaving. However they were very good for the over 2 hours it took them to give me a pedicure and paint their toenails and nails. My five-year-old went to the bathroom , number 2, and They were so annoyed that she was in the bathroom... They went by and knocked on the door repeatedly just to get her to come out. Which scared her. However, because I was sitting in the chair for the last hour and a half being waited on here and there I could not help her. My girls , because of their strict demands for their butts not to be out of a chair , sat for their nails to be dried under the dryer's for almost an hour. If they would even lift up from seat an inch they were like hawks and yelling at girls. So, to sum this up. I have seen people work here through the years and go in and out very quickly. In fact, Kim, one of their old nail technicians opened up his own place in College Park and now has one and the Baltimore harbor. Super cool. I guess their pick of the litter has been super crappy and they can't hire anybody nice. I don't recommend taking any child who gets it still like a robot to the salon especially if they are slightest busy. And to top it all off they give me my bill and it was outrageous. I am no way a cheap person. However, they charged me her nail polish remover of all three of my girls on their toes and on their nails. Then they charged me for four designs, on one kid, two designs and a couple extra $10 charges. When I asked to see the computer screen in which she was putting all these things and she got very defensive and said you can see it when it comes out on a receipt. Clearly when something comes out I never said it doesn't it in detail tell you everything. I asked her what these two chargers were and she acted like she's not good at speaking English. I literally sat there for five minutes reading over and thinking what is girls had done knowing also none of them had a nail polish on to go there however I was charged for them to take it off. All in all, I paid my massive bill for a very displeasing service. Even my girls got in the car not knowing how aggravated I was and said those ladies that work there a really mean and really frustrated with us. Not fair. They were being great kids. I have been going to Bay Hills Nails for years. The salon is clean and the staff is very friendly and always work really hard. The wait is usually very short and well worth it. I have decided to switch to gel nail polish where you pay more, but it lasts for several weeks so it saves me tons of time and money. I just had a very bad experience here. I've been here many times but this was the last. First of all, don't bother making an appointment. They don't honor that idea. I think they say fine but don't actually save time for anyone. Secondly, they are rude. Thirdly, they had an attitude about my daughter wanting them to wait to do her manicure so that she could have it done alongside her friend. Apparently they wanted to move along because they had other customers coming in. Wait! Do you really honor appointments times now?? And the kicker was being charged wrong. I have tried almost every nail salon in the Annapolis area and I always come back to Bay Hills for their friendly personal service, the convenience of location and the quality of service. Most of the staff know my name and my preferences and I can either walk in or make an appointment even in the early evening after work. Just recently moved into the area and was thrilled to find a nail place so close. My daughters and I stopped in to get our nails done. I needed a polish change and a nail repair, my oldest daughter needed a full set of acrylic nails and my youngest daughter needed a gel manicure. I wish I could say our experience was wonderful and I found a new nail place, unfortunately that is not the case. The quality of the work done was mediocre... Nothing I would look at and say wow she did a really good job ... a lot of rough edges on several nails and a couple of them misshaped. The biggest shocker was the pricing. It was very inconsistent for my nail repair and polish change I pay $29... Even though their stated price is approximately half of that price. My oldest daughter paid $30 for a full set of acrylics. Was shocked that she and I paid approximately the same amount for such a difference in services. My youngest daughter paid $35 for a gel manicure which was the only pricing that seemed in line with the standard in the area. Overall not a good experience... Was hoping not to have to drive all the way to Gambrills to get my nails done, but would rather drive a distance then continue to support a business that doesn't do a quality job or follow their stated price list.
