I've been going here for years about once every 4-6 weeks, and don't plan on changing that any time soon!! I never have any issues scheduling services, and you can always request a specific esthetician and try to get on their schedule if it works with yours. I think they also take walk ins if you are spontaneous like that, but I have always scheduled my appointments ahead of time. I've experienced great service here for full body waxing and even brows. Yesterday I was a walk in and trusted that the person who took me would simply follow and clean my brows. She asked if I wanted thick or thin and I simply told her to clean but didn't mind thin ( so she wouldn't be afraid to not take off the new growth) I was left with this! She completely took the hair off the end of one brow leaving me with two different shapes. The whole thing is uneven. I'm so disappointed in this job. I used to love coming here, but honestly I feel the first two times Paula did a impeccable job I guess to try to impress me and for me to get my foot in the door. The 3rd time was absolutely horrible. I haven't gone there in months because of my experience the last time I went. She pretty much wanted to hurry up and just finish with my Brazilian appt, missed so many spots, and didn't even clean me up with the oil. Literally left the hard wax everywhere. I literally waited until she left and I grabbed what I can from their drawers myself and just stayed a extra 15 min cleaning myself up. I had somewhere I had to be and obviously running very late. Oh, how I LOVE Andreia's. I've been to other wax salons, and trust me, no one compares. Allow me to elaborate... Service: it doesn't even matter who you get, everyone here is so professional and quick. It's exactly what you need, really quickly and thoroughly done. And I do mean thorough. They'll even remove ingrown hairs that didn't come out with the wax. Don't be shy, these gals will have you in and out as soon as possible. In an unfortunate incident, I had no choice but to go to a different salon -it took them twice as long to do half as good a job as Andreia's. :( also, no appointments needed. Even if there is a wait when you walk in (rare), it's usually just a few minutes. Prices: Brazilian is $35, and the full body deal -Brazilian, full legs, underarms and upper lip- is only $65. Seriously, that can't be beat, I've looked. Don't ask them to substitute body parts if you're getting the full body, they don't make exceptions. Please, for the love of all that is beautifying, give a generous tip!!! I normally do between 20-30% and ask my technician if she prefers it on the card or in cash (I just like to give them the option). So I always get asked about Brazilian wax from those who have yet to be converted from shaving. Yes, it will hurt (duh). BUT, anyone who's had more than a few waxes will tell you that it hurts less each time as less hair grows back. Shaving just can't compare to the smoothness and how long it lasts. Getting waxed now is absolutely no biggie and I'm so glad I braved that first time. read more

This is the "fast food" of waxes (minus the health concerns of course). I actually really like it as it's equally painful (opposed to more (typically caused by using less expensive "designer" wax)), you're in and out, save a great deal of cash and don't really need an appointment. They do a very thorough job, have a friendly staff and know what they're doing. They also play good music to focus on which helps. I admit I don't like two things... - No towel (apron, robe, etc?) provided to cover when you're bare and waiting and/or they're there, but just not working on "those areas" yet. - The walls don't go up to the ceiling so you can hear others / they can hear you. If those two things were fixed I'd give it 5 stars. For me those two things are kind of a big deal because I notice it every visit (4th time now), but again... Saving big bucks convinces me to give 4 stars opposed to the high-end 3 I mulled over for a while. I have been a customer at Brazilian Wax by Andreia for 5 years now. I've always received great service and everyone is pleasant. Yesterday I visited the Alpharetta location and it was the most painful experience I've had. I seen Carla (who by the way had lots of sticky notes from lots of people thanking her for the "quick" service). She started off by putting wax on half of my vagina and ripping it off it. With my experience with waxes, I've never had anyone pull my hair out as hard and fast as she did. I told her I was in pain, she just kept talking and tugging at my hairs. I also have a scar from a C-Section, every esthetician I've ever seen is very gentle around that area, she wasn't. Again, I had to remind her that I've been cut there and it's a sensitive spot. No apologies, no remorse, just relentlessly tugging at my pubic hairs. Carla was a sweet lady, but I was not pleased and it was a VERY painful experience. I've been faithful to Andrea's and have never had anything negative to say. If the esthetician's are not sensitive to people's needs, I can find better. Not to mention that when I got up, I felt a burning sensation, and my vagina is still sore. read more

Not really sure why all the hype a bout this place? Sure they have a nice reception area and drinks but trained people are why we shell out money for this kind of work. The woman working on me never introduced herself and even after telling her she was going in to far continued to do so leaving things very uneven. When paying asked if they asked if you can come back inside of a week for a touch up or for anything that was missed the answer was "no". When calling about the work was told "mirrors are only offered for brows" which makes no sense? I was told "to come back in so she could look" (oh goody a second trip) the only day I had time it was either eat lunch or make another trip. THE KING IS WEARING NO CLOTHES! (Google it) I decided to go to this particular shop to have my brows waxed because it was specifically recommended by my daughter. However, she is now on my side-eye list. Prior to stopping in for an appointment, I contacted the business and asked specifically for Angela. I was told to just come in before 5pm and I arrived around 4:45. I waited for about 10 minutes until she finished her prior client and then entered her room. This is where things started to get weird for me because as she sterilizing the bed and prepping the area, I am wondering if she realizes that I am just in to have my eyebrows waxed. Apparently, you lie on a bed to have this done but I prefer sitting up in a chair because it is just too weird otherwise. Also, the room should be cleaned and prepped prior to having the client enter in order to avoid those awkward thoughts that are inevitable once you see the bed. As she is prepping the bed, I am talking to her and I ask her if it is going to hurt because I start feeling anxious for some reason. She says something like, "Of course it is going to hurt, it always hurts when you pull the hairs out", (Something I would never have said to a new client). Perhaps a better bedside manner was needed at this point. I soldiered on because I have a high thresh-hold for pain and I didn't believe that it would hurt because I have had it done in the past. Throughout the procedure, I found it impossible to relax and I was as tense as a cat on a hot tin roof. This should not have been the case and I should have been able to relax and feel confident in the outcome. When she was done, I looked in the mirror but couldn't tell a difference. She tried to convince me otherwise but no matter what she said, the king was wearing no clothes! I simply let it go and left. Although the procedure proved to be painless and there was no irritation afterwards, this was not a good outcome for me. ***My brows are a bit of a challenge as they are "barely there" and this has been the case for years. Despite this phenomenon, I have still been able to get a noticeable arch. I think that I simply need to find a technician who shapes brows in the way that I like to have mine shaped because when you have sparse eyebrows, that arch is everything! The search continues! ***Never celebrate your success before the client expresses an opinion because this can create a very awkward and embarrassing moment. Follow the client's lead, if she is not celebrating, you should not be celebrating! read more

I tried this location at the recommendation of a friend after I had a horrible first experience with another unrelated salon in Alpharetta. My friend could not remember the name of the person she saw so by the reviews here I went with Ilona (Luci was booked through January). I explained to her about my first experience. She listened with concern and took care of me accordingly. I was extremely happy. She made sure I was comfortable (as comfortable as you can be in this manner) every step of the way. I left feeling great with no pain (unlike my first time where I was still in pain 5 days later). I made my return appointment the same day. I will definitely be back to see Ilona. The only slight negative is that they don't give samples of the products they are selling. It would be nice to try it out first as I have sensitive skin. I was very impressed when I first walked in at how beautifully decorated the whole place was. Waiting room with drinks, coffee and the like. They got me in right away, and I got a full body plus eye brows. I was so nervous it wasn't even funny. But the lady walked in and was so nice to me. She started with my eyebrows, and then the underarms. It was my first time doing anything like this and I had read online that taking Tylenol would help. Well all I had was prescription Ibuprofen and man am I glad I did. It was barely painful! The underarms didn't really hurt, like at all. Eyebrows made my eyes water, but I think that's just a nerves thing. Didn't actually hurt much. So I'm definitely bigger then most and that was one of the reasons I was so nervous about going to a place like this. The lady that worked with me was so incredibly nice, and I didn't felt a judge mental vibe or anything from her. Even when it go to the point that she had to ask for assistance from someone else to proper do the procedure. The actually Brazilian and legs were the most painful. The ladies were really encouraging, and quite impressed that I didn't scream or cry during the ordeal. I was too! But seriously. This place was lovely and they were so nice! I left a nice big tip due to being my first time waxing, and the above and beyond service they provided. If anyone has insecurities and concerns about doing a procedure like this, THIS is the place to go. They have seen everything and are so great at what they do. I can't believe I haven't reviewed this place yet, I've been a client for about 18 months. I see Joanna and she's worthy of 5 stars, I saw Luci recently and she is, as well. I'm giving 3 stars, however, because I just discovered that the woman who burned me so badly that I had to receive medical treatment is still employed there. I was shocked! I knew I should've reported her to her licensing board and now that I know she's still there I'm going to ! I'm a loyal customer, its really a cool place other than the whole blistering, burning, slight scarring (physicallly & emotionally) thing. Just be assertive and if you tell your waxer if the wax is too hot and she doesn't IMMEDIATELY stop and check the temp and cool the wax then get your bare azz up and leave. Seriously, do it. I wish I had. For those bothered by the lack of a towel- there is NO rule that says you can't bring your own. If it bothers you just bring one. read more

This location is a lot smaller and not as "glitzy" as the Midtown location. Likewise, the waxing rooms are pretty sterile and generic. I did not catch the name of my aesthetician, but she was nice. A bit hard to understand her accent... which by the way, I really respect that all the ladies in these salons are actually Brazilian. Very cool. This time I made sure to pop some Tylenol beforehand. Plus, it was my second time. I think the combination of those two led to this visit being (a little) less painful than the first one. Like last time, it went by very quickly. I feel like she was more thorough than my last aesthetician because she actually took the time to tweeze individual stray hairs. While I appreciated that, it was additional pain for me, lol. Very clean facility. Jo exceeded my expectations by easing my mental discomfort (I was sweating like a pig from anxiety) and she was very professional. I got the entire lower half of my body waxed, so considering all of that, she helped me a lot. And so did my good friend Advil. I would suggest taking some sort of pain reliever. I popped four of those bad boys 30 mins before my appointment. The actual process to my surprise only hurt in a few areas of the nether-regions like the lips and in some areas of the legs near the ankles. I was a tiny bit nervous to try this new location of Andreia's, unsure of whether it would be as good as the flagship location. How can there be so many skilled authentic Brazilian waxers in Atlanta?! Seriously, women that are FROM BRAZIL with super waxing powers, soothing bedside manners and fabulous friendly personalities? Enough to open six locations, apparently! If this is your first time getting a Brazilian wax you simply MUST go to an Andreia's! -It's only $35 ( I always tip $10 because I'm on some kind of hairless high afterward ) -They exclusively use real Brazilian hard wax - No strips ever! Ask and they will explain why this is a billion times better. -It's only $35 I think that anyone who complains about this place is Cuckoo. Cray-cray. Loca loca!!!!!! This is my personal opinion. I am a wax maven. If you wax the hair grows back lighter and finer each time, and any pain experienced is less and less. My first waxer at Andreia's told me she's been doing it for 20 years and now she only has to wax 3 times a year because so little hair grows any more. I didn't ask for proof but I believe her! Unfortunately I live in Florida right now but I drove all the way to the ATL to go here. I will probably be finding excuses just to drive up and get my monthly wax! I've heard there are tons of amazing wax places in Miami similar to Andreia's so I will surely go explore there, but I hope she opens up some locations in FL soon (hint hint!!)
