I called Luxe Nail Bar 2 and asked for an early appt for a regular gel manicure, something my regular nail salon couldn't do that week. I came in at 9:30 and my nail tech, a very young girl, asked what I wanted. We discussed nail shape and length, and how the existing polish would be removed, all before she ever touched my hands. Instead of what we'd talked about, she cut my nails too short, filed them unevenly, and took the polish off so poorly that she actually thinned my nail down to the quick before I could stop her. I left before the manicure was over, and my nails won't be ready Thor another until the recover from the poor treatment I received here. I should have waited for my usual tech at my usual salon. I learned the hard way that all gel manicures and the people who perform them aren't created equal, and that a nod after a consultation isn't always a sign of understanding. If I owned a nail salon, I'd pick one of my experienced employees to reel in new customers. Instead, the folks at Luxe put me with an inexperienced girl who ruined my nails. If you're looking for a salon, do yourself a favor and look a little further. read more

I came in asking to see her and they told me "yes yes sit" then they gave me another person and told me the nail lady was not there so she was going to do them. Was so glad that I walked in and they had space available. First of all, the price range is in the higher end and reading some of the negative reviews almost steered me away but I am glad I decided to give them a try. The spa pedicure was simply amazing and just what my feet needed. The seats are massage seats and I haven't used one in so long I had to get a crash course on how to use it. The hot stone portion was simply divine. I also decided to have a "complimentary" Blue Hawaiian and it tasted great. After my pedicure I got my manicure and also got a full set since I can actually have long nails now that my job doesn't prevent me from it. While I was there they started to get really busy, the person who appeared to be the manager even helped out and took on a client. Definitely going back again!!! read more

This was the worst nail experience I've ever had. I thought I was being pranked. I was forced to get a gel manicure when I asked for a regular manicure three times and he insisted. My nails are incredibly healthy and long and I rarely get my nails done because I don't trust that these salons do a good job but I took a chance. To start off, my nail technician didn't even fully take off the red polish I had on previously and painted the light pink gel polish over it. He then filed my nail shape into pointy triangles when they were perfectly shaped already the way I wanted, which I had shared, and did such a sloppy painting job that it's comical. To top it off, he talked about doing drugs the entire appointment and then slapped on a fat $80 price tag at the end. I am absolutely horrified and feel genuinely violated after that experience. My family was shocked when they saw my hands, knowing how well I do them myself, and confirmed it's the worst manicure they've ever seen. Don't take my word for it - see the pictures for yourself :) Now I need to get this gel, which I didn't even want in the first place, professionally taken off for an additional cost. This did not happen to any of the other customers in the salon before you ask yes, I was the only person color in the salon at the time when I went up to Pay My Bill I tried to use, the gift card that my fiancé bought me last year however, I was informed that there was no money on the card you I have never been to this location before. I was a loyal customer since late December up until May. I will no longer be spending my money at this venue. I've been spending $250-300 a month by getting lashes twice a month, arcylics nails twice a month and a pedicure monthly. I do not like to blame people but I feel as a loyal customer I have to be honest. After they hired the new receptionist it was hard getting any appointments scheduled. She has zero customer service skills and as a result costed the company $300 a month. I called last week asking for the lash stylist. She first told me she's not there. I asked if there was a way to speak to her and then she hung up. I called again bc i was not done talking when she did that. She did not answer me. I waited 5 minutes to call again and she finally answered but of course with an attitude. All i wanted was to be able to schedule with the lash artist that's IT!! As a big spending customer I deserved at least basic customer service. Next, the only reason I've been coming to the lash artist is bc of how fast she is. She always talks a lot of shit to me when I do come. For example, my first set she put hardly any and gave me a classic look which was fine for the first set. However, of course the lashes would fall out like any set does but given there was hardly any to begin with it looked empty. She told me my lashes look horrible and like i pulled them out which i did not. Why would I if in paying every two weeks for sets. Whatever my point is the customer service at this place is horrible. I used to feel very comfortable and enjoy my time here. Sometimes I even spent 3 times a week there. I was already almost done going there when the lash artist started making small comments but the receptions attitude was the ultimate push to look for service elsewhere. read more

Really upset with the outcome of my nails i got yesterday. This was my first time coming here since it was purchased by a new owner. I came in at 430 and was the only person waiting. Quickly 3 other ppl arrived after me. Some of those ppl were called first & It wasnt until about 520 that i was seated. Which ok no big deal. When i first arrived i showed the man at the front desk a picture of what i wanted. I told him i wanted everything exactly as the photo BUT i did not want the dots at the bottom and i wanted the designs in royal blue not black. Even showed him a photo of the royal blue color i liked. He said easy no problem. When i finally sat down a man named John was going to do my nails. The first man i spoke to came by and told him what I wanted. Although I couldn't understand what they said i heard "designs" and "royal blue" so i knew he was explaining what i wanted. I then showed John the photo as well and literally said "I want this exact design but i do not want the dots and i want royal blue not black. He said ok no problem. As he started cutting my nails I wanted them a little bit shorter and he had a problem with that and kept saying it doesn't make a difference & will look ugly and almost literally refused to cut them shorter. Im not a confrontational person so i said fine. Then he started the powder color and i noticed he started using blue on the entire first two nails, so I said hey remember i want the exact design on the photo and pointed to the photo on my phone. He said "dont worry im going to use a pen i know what im doing so please wait". I noticed he started rushing and workers were starting to leave so i guess they were closing soon. After the 4th nail was all blue i told him the bottom part is suppose to be clear not all one color and showed him the photo AGAIN. He first said he forgot then he said he didn't understand and thought i wanted them all blue. I told him no that's definitely not what i explained. He sat there looked at me and said 4 nails we're already done so seemed bothered that he would have to start over. I told him to just finish but that I wasn't happy. Well my nails turned out all blue. I went & washed my hands and noticed the nails had buffing scratches all over them, so he said sometimes the colors do that & that he had to put a top coat of blue gel which was now darker than the original color but that was the only way he could fix it. He then started doing black designs which looked hideous on the now dark blue so i asked him to do white bc it was so ugly. He proceeded to do white and somewhat tried to save them with a crystal... lol! In the end my nails were not at all what I wanted and they were rushed. He knew i wasn't happy and didnt care and still charged me $85 (& silly me still left him a $8 tip). On top of that they charged me a $3 charge for using card instead of cash. Smh!! The place is nice, the ppl seem friendly but the personal service I received was horrible. Never again. Im not confrontational so its hard for me to be demanding and outspoken so I basically shut down after trying the first couple times. He did not care about what i wanted at all. Went here a week or so ago & got a dip manicure on my natural nails & a gel pedicure. Manicure immediately started messing up the next day. Had work & then went on vacation and nails continued to peel and break off. Went in today to ask if they could do anything & the lady at the counter looked like she didn't know what to do. I told her it was dip & she told the nail tech that was supposed to fix it for me it was a fill. The nail tech that was supposed to fix it said there was nothing she could do because it was dip. I understood that but she didn't even offer to just re do them. No alternative solution was offered. She just sat & stared at me waiting for me to get out of her chair. It was very frustrating. Now I have this ugly manicure that I've had for less than two weeks that looks horrible. Dip powder should not be breaking off like this! Wasted money. Normally when someone does my nails I don't question their process til the end but he ended up only doing one out of the five nail designs I wanted and when I asked about them he said it was too late. It lasted me 3 weeks before going back and then went back for a pedicure and it was terrible. Within a week my polish was discolored really bad so I went somewhere else to get a new one. I went back 2 more times to get a dip manicure. The last time was just terrible. I got my nails done Friday and it's now Monday and 4 have already chipped and broke. Dip isn't supposed to be so flimsy. It's a huge waste of time and money. If I pay $50 for a dip manicure I expect it to last longer than what it did. read more
