Pricing is very expensive for basic service and atmosphere. I got a callus remove gel pedi with 2 fillings. My fiance got a basic gel pedi and mani. $175 later (not including tip) They don't do acrylic and I needed a filling on my big toes. She explained that they have dipping powder and that it would be $5 extra ea toe, which I agreed as that's the standard pricing for that. While waiting for my fiance I noticed 2 very noticeable mistakes with the nail polish on both big toes. I call the nail tech over and her first response was that I touched it- I actually was falling asleep in the pedi chair while waiting and I let her know I did not touch it at all. Also since it was gel- if I did touch it, it would've had to have been while she was actively doing my nails, and not once they were dried via the lamp- which i didn't touch them then anyways. She did attempt to fix it and was better than before but I keep looking at them and it's just not good, the 2 big toes are so big and thick- does not look natural at all. I wanted to call them and ask to have it fixed again but this is prob the best they could do so I don't want to waste anymore of my time. Instead I'll have to spend more and get it fixed elsewhere. My main issue is the pricing not matching the quality of talent. I've been to several different nail places to be able to compare. If you're charging on a higher end based on the neighborhood, I would expect the talent level to match and sadly it didn't. I just left here and paid $100 for acrylic removal that ripped my nail OFF half my nailbed and a gel pedicure (my toes were cut twice). The facility is clean, but the nail tech- who literally used a freaking MetroCard to slide between the acrylic and my real nail- only stopped once I screamed (I asked calmly twice before yelping loudly in pain and insisting she soak the acrylic off the rest of my nails). I wouldn't have even paid tbh, but I felt that if I didn't it would be taken out on the staff in a disproportionate way. I definitely do NOT recommend this place at all. Okay so I'm at a bar after Recieving my service lol that's how pissed I am. One, I went in for a pedicure. From the beginning all the staff were talking to each other, when I asked for a pedicure as if I said it in a different language. I sat down in the chair and I was legit 1 of 2 people in there. I asked to turn the massage on the chair and she said it did it work but the light was clearly blinking. Left that alone...: she starts filing my toe nails and pulling up all my cuticles to the point that my food feels so damn sore. I asked her to stop numerous times , then she proceeds to pull up every piece of my nail bed , I had to pull my entire foot away just so she got the point. A group of YT women walk in and they all jump up to give the women service. Now she's polishing my nails which I loved the color but she just had an attitude the entire time. Paying attention to everyone else. I then while paying and I usually tip $20 anytime I get my feet done at my other spot but I couldn't see myself giving that up and I'm walking away in pain ! So I pull out $10 and she reminds me that I need to pay a 15% tip of my service. I kindly gave that lady $11 and left . I've been to more hood nail salons and we treated to nicely but all these new up nails salons popping up on neighborhoods where they choose to be so rude to the people that grew up here. I did not have the best experience at Luxe today. I came in to get tip removal and a manicure. Two women worked on my nails. One was Jenny and I don't remember the other person. The first woman who worked on my nails mentioned about 4 times that my nails were short. Mind you as a recovering nail bitter I am sensitive about my nails and it was really unprofessional and rude for her to continue to comment on my nail length. Then the first woman left me in the acetone without setting a timer and started to work on a whole mother lady! I spoke up and said did you set a timer? My hands are burning and she just goes oh 10 more minutes mind you she never set a timer. So then the second lady comes to work on my nails and she didn't get all of the glue off from my old nails so I pointed out how it needed to be fixed so then she wraps up my nail again and proceeds to start to mop the store! Mind you i only needed to be in the foil and acetone for probably 2 minutes. So I asked a worker can she finish working on my nails before she starts to mop the floor? So then her and the other works start to speak in non-English language and I'm sure they were talking about me. And when she came back to do my nails she didn't even wash her hands just came back to my nails and she would have had me sit there until she was done mopping the whole store if I didn't speak up! Then she rushed when she did my manicure and didn't do it how she did these two Asian women next to me. I feel like she did this maybe because of my skin color honestly I don't know if I would have been treated like this if I was a white woman. It's unfortunate I just wanted to get the same services everyone else gets. read more

This place is exactly what the neighborhood has been missing for years! Before I felt like my options were overpriced for quality or cheap for poor quality and poor hygiene. This place is clean, reasonably priced, and they do a great job. I have very brittle nails and use my hands a lot. I typically need extensions/tips when I get acrylic or dip powder on my nails. Regular polish and gel isn't durable enough for me day to day. Angela has been amazing. My first trip I had tips with dip powder done after two rounds of that I was able to grow my nails out, no tips needed. I can't emphasize enough how rare this is for me. Plus she shapes the dip powder well and does the process correctly (no unnecessary electric tools) compared to some other places in the area I've tried. I've had this done 4 times and my nails last anywhere from 1.5-2 weeks. read more

Horrible experience. Called to ask if there was availability for a pedicure and they told me to come right over. Upon arrival, 5-10 minutes later, I was asked to come back later?!! The experience was great and the workers were so polite and friendly. Usually when I get my nails done elsewhere they start coming off after only 2 weeks!
