I had an overwhelming sense of Deja Vu visiting Reedchy today for the first time. Perhaps it was their minimalistic design similar to another neighboring nail salon with an R name to it. This isn't your ordinary in/out nail salon where you hope they're sterilizing tools and keep a sanitary practice. Their focus is on using non toxic toiletries and the prices reflect it. First time customers (that would be me today) get 15% off. I chose a Lavender Pedicure which included the usual foot soak, nail trim and cuticle cutting in addition to callus removal, lavender lotions and soak and finally a 5 minute calf/foot massage. The woman who pampered my feet and brought them back to civilization did her work methodically and with precision. The salon was clean and spacious. Water or tea was offered upon arrival and there wasn't a heavy nail polish odor permeating the space. Some of their equipment such as the pumice pad were disposable while others had a careful run through the autoclave. It's often said " you pay for what you get" and I tend to agree. I walked in looking to get a spa pedi and they accommodated without hesitation! The facility is clean. The staff is nice. My toes still look great! I was even able to book an appt for my mani the following day - no problem :) The only issue I had was that they didn't honor the 15% or 20% off (I don't remember the exact %) to me for being a new client, even tho online it was advertised as such. When I brought it up they said no we gave you 10% off, and wouldn't hear me even when I showed them their online advert. So that wasn't cool but the person who did my nails was lovely and the Japanese gel was pretty even tho today the thumb nail broke. And they're all my nails. And they are long. I have been going to Reedchy for years. I used to come with my mom when we lived in queens. I moved out of state for a few years and moved back to NY last year and I live in Manhattan but still go to reedchy when I'm working in the area. They do a great clean paint job and pay attention to detail. It is also very clean and sanitary, so important when getting your nails done. I've tried many Manhattan locations but none offer the quality of Reedchy. I started my pedicure at 620pm and it was taking a while to dry and my nail technician used the dryer on my pedicure while we finished my mani. I felt so bad because the mani was still not done after 8p ( their closing time) so the owner and technician had to stay late to help me fully dry. But they didn't rush me and were very helpful making sure I didn't smudge like helping me with my shoes and bags. Reedchy is the best in NYC and I wish they opened a location in Manhattan read more

This nail salon is absolutely horrible. Ive seen her reply to one review which was a total lie. I can agree they forced to pay tips and she is completely lying. When I called I called and asked for French tips which is quite obvious I'm talking about acrylics, They did it with nail polish. I could've done this at home I even went up to the desk asking if there gonna do acrylics, not to mention the fact that it wasn't even French tips it was a full on line, it looked like dirt was in my nail tips.I can do these at home with a 5 minute tutorial. They were nice enough to fit me in but wow - more expensive than many other salons and my pedicure is really terrible. The gel manicure was good (though pricey) but also didn't cover my entire nail and is a little lumpy/too thick. You know when a tech doesn't apply the polish all the way up to your cuticles and you walk out with a fresh mani that looks like it is a week old? I just paid way too much for that, plus truly bad lopsided and extremely messy toes. The way she cut my toenails is strange and the two feet have different shaped nails now, plus very objectively sloppy polish. I am shocked and frustrated given how much they charge! read more

Reedchy is a great neighborhood nail salon with a hip vibe and reasonable prices. I always call ahead for an appointment, and I'm almost always able to make one same day at the time I want. It's super clean, the manicurists are easy to communicate with, and they have a reasonable color selection. So why not 5 stars you ask? -They only do regular and gel manicures. I WISH they did SNS powder also. -Mani/pedis are usually great, but can also be hit or miss depending on your manicurist. -I wish they carried OPI (not a huge deal). Your not so typical nail salon and much more modern. They pride themselves on a clean and modern spa. The pedicure chairs are benches with cushions, and their pedicure sinks are actual marble sinks. They have a variety of polishes, including gel, and depending on the type of polish you get the price varies. I got a gel manicure and a regular pedicure and the total was $78. It's a bit more expensive than your usual spot. But the place was clean and the nail technicians paid attention to the tiniest detail. I just moved to Tulsa and decided to visit Sweet Mia (south Tulsa) and I am so glad that I did!!! I got the Citrus Pedicure which includes a shoulder & scalp massage: Cost French manicure64 & Time 50 minutes! It was absolutely AMAZING!!! It is hard to explain but their massage chairs (they vibrate only) lean back to where you are laying flat and your legs and feet bent outward while they massage your legs & feet, shoulders and scalp! It felt wonderful!!! For my manicure I got the Bio Sculpture Manicure!! Cost French manicure55 & Time 45 minutes! It also includes a hand & arm massage! I loved this manicure because they don't remove your cuticles and they don't use the drills to shape! It was nice! They also don't add extensions/fake nails to this type of manicure so it will be your natural nails! I have never been to a natural nail spa that uses non-toxic products and I have to say that I am impressed! There were no harsh chemical smells AT ALL and was just a very pleasant experience! San took care of my nails and toes and she did AMAZING!!! She took her time to really take care of me and make sure that my nails and toes looked fantastic!! Heads up!! There are a couple of differences than going to a regular nail spa! Bring your own drink! They do not offer soda or wine! They do have a water dispenser though! Wonderful gel manicure! My normal place couldn't fit me in for an appointment so I found Reedchy via Yelp! They got me an appointment fast and they were so nice. The gel manicure is $45 which is a bit pricey but the service was amazing. I enjoyed hot tea and got to wear gloves with moisturizer. They also had a large variety of gel colors. My nail technician, Milly, did an amazing job. The place was very clean and everything was packaged in sterilization bags. But when I showed up for my appointment, there's a huge step to get inside that is absolutely not wheelchair accessible. I couldn't even get inside for my appointment and had to leave. It's humiliating to have these experiences and unfair to customers to promise something so simple that you still don't deliver. I did go in on Saturday and Wendy evaluated my nails and said the nail bed was soft and that is why the polish didn't stay and peeled off. She replaced 7 nails (by Saturday 7 were all chipped) and used a hot gel base coat. She said I shouldn't use gel manicure and get a regular manicure. So far nothing has chipped. read more

This is a sophisticated and chic salon that validates the cost. The salon is considered to be non-toxic as they use high quality/clean polishes and care about the health of your nails as well as the appearance. When I get my mani's here, whether its gel or regular polish my nails always look healthy once the mani wears off. However, one thing I do not prefer is that they use a mini drill to remove the gel polish. My personal preference is to use a nail file... But 98% of the time I have my nails or toes done here the work is flawLESS, regardless of how short my nails might be. (And they always do exactly what I ask, so if I ask for square; they give me square not squoval) I've had a couple mani's where the nail polish chipped the next day, hence the 98%. Still this is a fairly great salon in a convenient location. (5 min or less walk from Bergen St. station, and maybe 15 min from Atlantic Terminal) Also, the employees are extremely nice, especially the woman at the register, I'm not sure of her name or what her exact title is but she provides such an amazing customer experience to everyone that walks in...One of the reasons I keep coming back, and also something I deem hard to find in Nyc nail salons. This salon has just a very calm and soothing feel to it that I really appreciate. The mani and pedi seats are super soft and comfortable, unlike some salons that put you in a chair that you can't even comfortably lean back in. Another thing: they take covid very seriously, so when you walk in they will spray the bottom of your shoes, check your temperature, and make sure you sanitize. Other then that their work is garbage and it was the worst manicure /pedicure I have ever received. the nail tech had NO IDEA what she was doing, but man did she try for 2 hours. I give her credit she did put effort. The "spa" pedicure was nothing more then her opening an individual packet of lavender lotion and using that... nothing spa like about it... not worth the upcharge. My toe nails are all different shapes, there is nail polish all around my toe nails, I can't wear sandals with a pedicure like this. My gel nails chipped within 5 days... ALL 10 NAILS chipped within 5 days. They were bubbly by day 2. My nail shape/length was inconsistent, my cuticles are raggedy looking, and I was cut on at least 3 nails, without even acknowledgment. I walked in on a Saturday afternoon with no appointment and they happily took me. Claudia was so meticulous and patient with me when I didn't like the first color I chose.
