I was recommended by a friend so I decided to try it out. They were really nice there, but I wasn't too pleased with my hair. My balayage looked like a color block that went from dark brown to instantly yellow (I requested a light ash). The cut was really bad too, the layers were uneven and noticeably crooked. I lived with it for 1 week, then called my regular stylist who fixed me up and got my hair looking healthy, ashy and fabulous! About $1k later and a good lesson learned... read more

Came here for the first time for a simple cut. Myra was my stylist and she did an amazing job! Was thorough and detailed, I would definitely go back just to see her. This salon has just recently opened in 2020 in the midst of covid shutdown so I am happy to see they are doing well for a small business. It's a cute kilter salon in the shopping center across foodland (mililani shopping center). There's more than enough parking available and it was easy to get an apt by messaging the business on Yelp. While I only came here for a basic cut I am tempted to return for some daring other styling or coloring. I gave my hairstylist the freedom to do whatever, but I didn't expect her to write herself a blank check. She highlighted my hair (called it a color correction), gave me a trim, and blow dry. It took her 4.5 hours, like other salons I've been to. She never mentioned how much any of this would cost. When she was done, she took me outside to take multiple photos of me from different angles with her cell phone. I guess it was for marketing/promoting her business. Then, she took me to the register and told me my bill was $591.62, without the tip! Check out the photo of my receipt. I tipped her because I felt I had to, but I'll never go back. They're lucky I didn't sue their arses, but now, all of my friends, family, and customers are warned. Don't let this happen to you or your loved ones. read more

Dana did an amazing job on my hair. It was more blonde than I wanted but the execution made it okay with me. I've never had this many compliments on my hair before and it still feels healthy. I will say, the pricing was not clear as balayage was listed as $195 but I ended up paying almost $300 for just my hair(not products purchased). If the lifting of color on my hair; or something else cost more, then I should have been informed before it was done. If I knew I was going to pay as much as I did then I would've saved up more money because it definitely put a dent in my pocketbook. I got my balayage done by stylist Ian and the result came out perfectly, just like the picture I showed him. I haven't had my hair done in a very long time, and I had very long thick black hair coming in, so I was kind of expecting that I wouldn't get to a silvery blonde in one sitting, but I was so blown away when the foils were removed and the result was so beautiful, almost identical to what I had asked for. Ian was very professional and worked very hard and meticulously for many hours on my hair to make sure everything came out great. All the workers were very friendly and made sure everyone was okay. They were very kind to their clients and to each other so the vibe was nice. Honestly I am a quiet and introverted person however they still were nice to me without making feel ignored or uncomfortable. After my services I FaceTimed my husband and he was also blown away by how great my hair came out and remarked how beautiful I looked. Several weeks later I am still receiving lots of compliments on my hair and I even received a compliment from a random girl that said my hair looks perfect. I definitely feel like my time and money has been well spent here and I highly recommend Luxe Salon if you are looking for a great balayage. I made a last minute appointment yesterday needing a long overdue haircut. This was by far the worse haircut I ever received in my life!! Now I need to go back to my regular hairstylist to get my hair fixed and to believe I paid $55 with tax and tip included for this awful haircut! The hairstylist Eloisa needs to go back to training to learn how to cut hair correctly especially face framing. I can't speak for other stylists there but I would never recommend my family or friends to her! read more

I went to see her for a consultation that same day. The staff is friendly, down to earth, and knowledgeable with color. Dana took the time to look at my hair and it's current condition, she made some recommendations and showed me pictures of her work. I pointed to what I wanted and she totally delivered. She set my expectations from the beginning that she would be doing a color correction and I would probably be in the chair for about 4 hours. They are taking all of the Covid precautions starting with hand sanitizer and a temperature check as soon as you walk in the door.
