It's my first time to this place, I called in to make sure they take walk in and they said no wait, got there in 5 min. They took me in right away. On June 11, 2024, I visited the salon for a haircut, and overall, I was quite satisfied with the result. The barber did a solid job, and it left a good impression on me. (See first report posted last year) However, things took a turn during my next visit on January 2, 2025. I returned for another haircut, but unfortunately, it didn't go as well--the cut was noticeably off. Hoping for a resolution, I tried to book January 3 or 4th but the barber was booked to January 8th. I booked a follow-up appointment, assuming they would fix the mistake as a courtesy, and I planned to show appreciation by tipping the barber. That wasn't the case. On January 8, 2025--just a week later--I came back for the corrective cut and was charged full price again. Despite the owner kindly telling me I didn't have to tip, I still left a 20% tip out of respect for the barber's time. To be fair, he did a good job fixing the initial mistake, and I left feeling like things were back on track. Fast forward nearly five months to May 25, 2025--my most recent visit--and it was, without exaggeration, a complete fiasco. The haircut I received was by far the worst I've had. I've never in my life had a skin fade above my ears, nor have I ever had the sides of my head shaved that close to the skin. It was jarring and completely out of line with anything I had ever asked for or expected. And to make matters worse, I still tipped out around 37.9% for that cut. Even after walking out disappointed, I tipped generously--because I respect people's time and effort. But honestly, this experience left me feeling like that courtesy wasn't mutual. I've been to various salons over the years, usually with stylists who understood my preferences and delivered consistently. Sadly, many of them have since moved to the mainland or relocated abroad, which left me searching for a new go-to barber close by. I had hoped this place could be that, but after this last experience, I don't think I'll be going back unless get compensated for the last 2 visits. read more

Five stars for this "mom and pop" salon. Easy to book a same day appointment and the attention to detail in Dillion's cuts are on point. Although a little cluttered, the salon is clean and sanitized and masks are encouraged, but not mandatory. I went a few times before and it was okay, however this time I just was not happy and satisfied. I made an appointment and ended up waiting one more hour. What's the point of an appointment but having to still wait? At that point, don't even bother taking appointments and just do walk-in. Now onto the haircut. I asked for a very low fade and the top to be thinned out and just trimmed a little. I even described how little I wanted it to be. When she was working the sides, the razor was super hot and was burning my skin. When she started to cut the top portion of my hair, she took off majority of the top, and it's at a weird length where it can't comb over and is just sticking up. Not only that, once she told me I was finished, another barber comes in and starts cutting my hair shorter and fixing her mistakes. Due to this, he messed it up even more. Now i'm left with a super short haircut that I didn't even ask for in the beginning. Why was two barbers working on my hair? It got shorter because the barbers kept messing my hair up. After I was finished, the first barber literally said "Now it looks good" What do you mean by "NOW"? You pay for what you get. Honestly. Yeah it's a $21 haircut but you're better off paying more and being 100% satisfied with it. There's a reason haircuts are generally over $30-$40+ nowadays. I just came here because my barber was booked till next month and it was right next to my house and I really needed a haircut. Come here if you don't care how your hair will look and is just wanting it trimmed short. Even when you tell them what you want, it'll end up looking like something you didn't ask for. I also noticed some of the barbers don't cut a persons hair based on what the customers requesting. It seems like they only know how to do basic haircuts. If it's a hard haircut, usually the guy ends up being the only one knowing how to do it, which explains why he came over and started cutting my hair afterwards. Next time, call your customer and tell them you're running behind and to come later as opposed to telling them to wait another hour right when they get there. read more

Called one day if i needed an appt. Said it was ok to walk in. Took an uber when i got there I was told they just had two walk in color appts. And I can make an appt for tomorrow. Wasted time and an Uber ride there. read more

I came with my daughter and showed them a haircut she wanted. They told me they can do it and to come back at 430. We came back only for the same barber to tell us he wouldn't and couldn't do it. He had a translator in which I assumed them to be arguing based on their tone and body language. He was practically yelling in front of us to this lady speaking in his language. She proceeds to tell us he can't do it. If you can't do a haircut say it, don't schedule me hours later and tell me you can't do it!!! I recently moved to the area (as of December of 2020), and finding someone to cut my hair is always a priority. The location is small, but clean, and extremely well-kept. The owners were friendly and responsive when I called to inquire about a haircut, and gave clear directions to the location as Google Maps and Waze do not navigate you to the proper area (see images) due to the location being built into a shopping center on the same corner as the 7/11. They offer both men and women's styling and cuts, and I was impressed that the owner was able to examine a photo I showed him of how my hair looked after my last haircut with minor instructions as to the length on the side and the result was perfection. My fade has had several compliments, and I have a thick head of hair making the "short on the sides, but long on top" a challenge. I highly recommend this salon! The prices are fair, the service top-notch, and I will return again soon for sure as a satisfied repeat customer! read more

Our month long stay in Hawaii has produced some scraggly heads. We found Dillion's and Lo-Ann's shop on Yelp and they did not disappoint. I've already come here twice for myself and today all three sons got their hair cut by Dillion. He's great! And the price is very reasonable too. Very impressed and I am very picky about my pixie cut. Tired of paying exorbitant prices and maybe or maybe not getting a great cut. Duc was amazing. My husband and I, both in our 60's, got very professional cuts today; neither of us have great hair but we left looking like we did. Met another woman in the shop who had her thick lovely hair cut by Duc and she looked fab. Lo-Ann, one of the owners, is wonderful. Not a foo-foo place but don't let that fool you.
