Had the worst experience today with the Ali, please never go to that rude arrogant unskillful guy! I don't know in what delusion he is to even call himself a hairdresser, he ruined my hair and was so rude to cover his mistakes! I asked him please just maintain the texture and fix the side and he end up with totally different hair style afterwards he said why am i angry! Do i have to praise him? For what he did please avoid that arrogant useless guy, otherwise you will regret. Avoid at all costs especially Ali. I gave him clear instructions and even showed photos, yet he still didn't understand. He was checking his phone and texting every couple of minutes instead of paying attention to the cut. Unsure if it was a language barrier issue, but I couldn't have been more clear. The beard line is the worst I've ever had -- he cut the neckline way too high and uneven, making it look completely unnatural. Now I have to wait weeks for it to grow back. I visited this location for the very first time as I am visiting San Diego for three months for the winners and looking for a good solid barbershop or haircut location I went in today was greeted with the door super friendly people great atmosphere TVs everywhere sports on each TV, a friendly friendly staff, and I was introduced to Felix who was the gentleman who cut my hair. He did an absolutely fantastic job had a great personality. A few issues come to mind, though I'll solely illuminate five: I had made an appointment online, for any available barber, at a specified time. Upon arrival, I was seated a solid 45 minutes before they shuffled me to the back with an assistant. While there, the assistant gave pitiful conversation, before getting directly in my face and saying "You should REALLY watch what you say". When I asked what specifically was said, so the topic could be avoided, he laughed while shaking his head, and said I should "Really just watch what you say". When heading to the front to pay, the barber named Anthony proudly proclaimed that they didn't take card in any form, and that I'd have to use their ATM(With a $4.95 charge fee!!!), to pay with cash. He then said the price was $55, a whole $10 above what my barber told me it would be. While waiting for the barber to come to the front, Anthony then shouted "GO FUCKING PAY YOUR MAN AND GO" at me. I continued to wait, and when he arrived, the assistant confirmed that the price would be $45 total. All around a horrific shop. read more

Don't waste your time. This little shaq is a joke. I've literally scheduled over THREE different appointments. Every time I show up he's just now sitting someone in the chair. There's no respect and courtesy for the customers time. The few haircuts I did receive were the closest I found to what I'm looking for. Thus the reason I came back today. But nothing great. He's one of the guys who will sit you in the chair and go talk on the phone over and over turning an hour haircut into like two hours. What's up yall, I'm doing this review for few reasons, the service, the skills and the knowledge that was shown to me today. The Gent who cut me today who is the owner his name is Anthony, also want to add the other 2 Gents is solid folks. I been cut by Anthony before at a different spot and it was solid, I been to this location before but since Anthony took over the quality of the establishment in difference wise is night and day and the spot looks really good&clean compare to what it was before, could bearly recognized that this was the same shop I went to last year during winter, the remodeling job is A+ I believe they got like 3 tv screens or more they got dope music playing with entertainment such as sports and etc, I'm basketball sports fan myself so that kept me entertained and I love music as well. The guys in there socialize with everybody and got good personalities, me personally when I'm at place of business and im trying to handle what I need to handle, I tend to not socialize as much and stay focused but it's kinda hard to do so with the positive vibes and the love they was showing to customers and even to the people who are just living in the community that were passing by it showed how genuine they are. Anthony is a Pro and not to be cliche but he's surgically with the razor blade when he gives you a line up I doubt you will complain because I had the best line up with a sharp razor that I haven't gotten from anybody in a long minute. He pays attention to detail and takes his time while being friendly and communicative with his customers same goes for the other 2 barbers. I also got my hair shampoo'ed which I've never done before in a shop and the only reason Anthony insisted because he wanted to make sure that my hair on all sides and angles were even and cut right, that let me know this dude cares about his business and craft so it's nothing for me to pay a guy like that and his associates for the cut as one should and plus throw a 5-10 dollar tip because the guy is a Professional, and for a guy like me who can't find a solid barber to stick too I think I just found one. read more
