The place is beautiful. The service is welcoming. Walk-ins are accepted and appreciated. They have 8 chairs, and they are all full. Each barber is friendly and skilled. I had my beard cleaned up. The atmosphere is lively. Prices are competitive. Melvin did a great job! This will be my go-to place moving forward. Parking us cool. Cash and payment apps only.

I bring my 83 yr old father here and Angel has always taken great care of him. They offer a discount for seniors and this is something he can look forward to as part as his routine so it's a nice incentive a lot of salons don't offer. It's a classy and clean gentleman's barber shop and they have many barbers. They take walk ins which was our first experience and we didn't wait long. Parking is available & they offer the close shave w/ hot towel service as well. I've seen a range of ages come here so it's family friendly. I'm so happy my son found this place and recommended it to us:) read more

My toxic trait is trying to cut my hair myself, which works out about 7% of the time. In this latest edition, it was with clippers! Never used on myself (but had on guy friends). Needless to say, I panicked and reached out to my homies because I have only gone to salons for women's cuts. One of them suggested this place; I asked if there was a specific person and he said no, they're all really good. I called this evening and they said I could come in about a half hour later. Melvin trimmed me up and righted my wrongs, at least as much as anyone could have, and it looks SO much better. He listened to what I wanted and did exactly that. I will be returning for sure (at least until 2 years from now when my hair finally grows back out ). Highly recommend. read more

I have been getting my haircut with Melvin since 2020 when I moved to LA from OC, and I couldn't recommend him more! His newer barber shop is fantastic--clean, welcoming, and filled with wholesome, professional staff and their cuts are always fresh and consistent. Stopped in here on a whim for my summer #4 buzz cut and although the place was busy, they took me right away. It was clean and the Portugal/Spain final was on the big screen so I got a few new tips on watching futbol. My barber didn't just buzz and send me off but took the time to scissor in refinements and ask how I wanted the finish to look: natural or fade. I'll definitely be back. Thanks, Melvin! read more

I've been going to Israel ever since he took me in as a walk-in. He's a great barber and gives you the exact cut you want. He's also a great person and patient as I even brought my little brother for his haircut. He's always willing to give advice on the hairstyle you want and leaves it better than the reference pictures. I definitely recommend him and all the other barbers in this shop! read more

Been having my hair cut by Melvin for about 4 years now. The other barbers In this shop are amazing at cutting hair too. Everyone is skilled here, so no matter who you go to, you will walk out of there looking fly. Had to come in for a walk in and boy did they take care of me. This barbershop is top notch ! I highly recommend Eric, and I can also see from just sitting down that all of the barbers over there are great! It's a great atmosphere with clean equipment and tools. I waited 2 days to post this just to see if my hair needed to settle in since I went from a wild lions mane to what ever this short hair cut I have now. But no matter how much I attempt to style my hair it just looks dumb. My feedback to Hin is if you aren't confident in cutting someone's hair then please just say so. Or if your specialty is clean cuts then tell your client so they can make the decision of sitting in the chair. I may come back to try with someone else to cut my hair since I feel the people here have some skill.

It was relaxing (I fell asleep)! It was restorative! My feet felt and looked healthy and cared for. I didn't get polished which is great because I have been wanting to go natural for a while to let my nails breathe and focus on what's really happening with my toe nail health. So may things I loved (in no particular order): - Very communicative from the appointment (via phone) to the confirmation and directions (via text) - Ms. Glen greeted me at the door - The studio smells divine (really sets the tranquil mood) - The studio was intimate (just me - yay) - The space was very clean (I am a stickler for clean) - There was a complimentary water waiting on me - Ms. Glen has developed her own techniques and products which speaks to her dedication and specialization (I love people who are passionate about what they do!) - Every step of the treatment was appreciated! (very detailed, very attentive, think - pampering your feet from the in-depth massage to the parrafin to the soaks to the grooming and much much more) - I got socks! This was such a special and much needed last step that I never knew I needed. It made my feet more comfortable and protected after such a beautiful treatment. She even asked me my size. How's that for customer service! - Now this one may seem trivial but I never had to hold my feet up during the treatment unless I was transitioning from the bowl to a towel. I do not like having to do that while someone attends to the bottom of my feel or heels. Ms. Glen has it worked out where I can truly relax the whole time. I also left with one of Ms. Glen's therapeutic hand and foot oils in Lemon. She makes the oils herself! It smells so good and leaves a refreshing but not overpowering scent. It feels good oiling my feet every night. Like another reviewer said, this is not your run of the mill pedicure shop. This is a therapeutic service that is worth every penny. My goal is to make this a regular treatment. If my feet are healthy, I am healthier! Thanks Ms. Glen for such a wonderful experience! I'll be back. And thanks again for the massage therapist recommendation. Rest and recovery, here I come!

If your feet are in need of TLC, renewal and restoration, Ms. Glen has a carefully curated service that will leave your feet feeling brand new. I had recently purchased a soap that helps with skin discoloration. It hasn't been making any improvement in the uneven skin tone and dark marks on my feet. Turns out I just needed an appointment with Ms. Glen. The exfoliation she provided literally rubbed away 15 years from my feet. My dry scratchy heels were left supple and smooth and the calloused areas were left soft. Had I known what I was in store for I would have taken before and after pictures. She even provided socks for me to leave in, to seal in the moisture. My favorite part hands down was the massage. She kneaded into these tired soles, and I needed that! I paid a little more than the price listed (which she does quote as a base price) but she also spent almost 2x the amount of time listed. My Fiancé noticed the difference in appearance and feel immediately. I intentionally waited until 24 hours+ had passed to write this review, wanting to see if my feet would feel just as nice. THEY DO!! Ms. Glen definitely puts pride in her work and I love how she checked in throughout the process to ensure I was satisfied along the way. I recommend her service to anyone looking to give their feet a more youthful feel and look. And if your feet have severe issues that might keep you from visiting open public salons, her private suite will help you feel comfortable and secure. Right before I left, Ms. Glen threw in a bottle of her therapeutic hand & foot oil once she saw how dry my hands were. I had discussed my upcoming nuptials with her and she wanted to make sure my hands moisturized properly for my big day, even providing a demonstration on proper application. Ms. Glen is a gem!

Unexpected Charges and Lack of Transparency…read more I booked my appointment in person on Tuesday 7/15 because I wasn't sure what to select online for Gel-X removal. I trusted the front desk staff to guide me, and was quoted $80 for Gel-X, builder gel removal, and French tip. At my appointment on Friday 7/18, I was unexpectedly charged $110! I was told the card on file couldn't be used for the service--only for late fees or no-shows--which made no sense. If the salon can charge the card for penalties, why not for the actual service being provided? This was especially frustrating because the appointment was a gift for a huge accomplishment of mine, from my mother, so of course I didn't have the physical card with me. On top of that I was also charged extra for nail length without warning, and billed twice for polish: $20 for gel color and $15 for French tip, even though I only received 1 design; french tip. When I asked for clarification, staff just pointed to the online pricing--but I booked in person to avoid that confusion. The experience felt misleading. I intentionally came in person to avoid confusion and relied on the staff to guide me accurately. Unfortunately, that did not happen. I would not recommend this salon to anyone. If you're considering booking here, I strongly suggest looking elsewhere for more transparent and customer-friendly service.

This was our first time visiting this barbershop, and it was such a great experience from start to finish! We called ahead and spoke with the owner, Melvin, who was warm and welcoming on the phone and kindly fit us in on short notice. When we arrived, everyone greeted us with a smile and made us feel right at home. John was my son's barber, and he did an amazing job--not only with the haircut, but also in making my son feel comfortable and at ease throughout the entire visit. He was patient, friendly, and took his time to ensure everything was perfect, even though they were closing at 3 PM on a Sunday. A huge thank you to John and Melvin for creating such a positive, family-friendly atmosphere and for going above and beyond for their clients. I've been getting my haircut with Melvin for years. When he opened up this shop, of course I had to follow him. He is a great barber - truly a master of his craft.
