If you want a flawless cut that will have you looking your absolute best, Kenneth is your guy. Don't wait--book your appointment with Kenneth Young today and experience the magic for yourself! I have a uniquely shaped head, and Kenneth has an incredible talent for making it look perfect. He masterfully blends and sculpts every cut to suit me perfectly, ensuring everything looks seamless and sharp.

This is their version of a .5 mid taper

2nd and last time coming to this barber shop. First time it was okay of a cut. But this second hair cut was pretty awful. I asked for a mid taper starting with a .5 and this is what I got. Not worth $55+ [[HIGHLIGHT]]He also proceeded to educate me that next time ask for a fade.... Sir I'm 34 and I know what I want.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I went to a barber down the street to fix it and had to pay again.

In need of a quick haircut before my flight from LAX. My man Angio did a great job in providing a cut based on a photo I shared with him. A little pricey for a buzz cut but maybe this is what DTLA prices are ($50 excl tip). Great place to swing by if you need a quick fix. Just make sure you get a photo of what you are looking for.

My barber Danilo is the best. We don't speak the same language so I always bring a photo of what I want and he does it exactly. Last time I let him be creative and this was what happened I get so many compliments and I can't wait to continue getting this cut. He's also not creepy like many other male barbers when they cut a pretty girls hair.

Luis Aranda hands down is one of the best barbers I've ever been cut by! I used to have a mohawk before and wanted to go really clean and simple, and just the amazing cut you can get for a simple haircut is PERFECT. I like my hair with a High black white contrast and I haven't met many who can do something so simple like this and look this clean. Thank you Luis for being so friendly and as well as the amazing haircuts. Cut to perfection!

More importantly, I needed someone who could handle Asian-textured hair, which many barbers struggle with. Enter Kei. He was also open about where my hair needed more growth before making cuts so I knew what areas would still be a challenge afterwards. Bring photos of your cuts you've loved. Kei uses them to dial in your style with precision. The bonus? The setting itself. You're sitting in a vintage Kochs Chicago barber chair that swivels toward their original hair wash stations, all housed in a historic 1920s building steps from the Eastern Columbia bldg in DTLA's Historic Core. I have a fairly simple understanding of hairstyles and proper hair maintenance. The barber Javin asked me questions about my usual hairstyle and went through suggestions regarding trimming technique. Ultimately, I went with low fade with and a touch up on the top. He mentioned my two hair whorls and overall head shape provided some considerations on what he thought would look natural, which I appreciated. In the end, the fade was perfect. I'd been getting the same high fade for a decade and wanted to try the longer wave thing everyone's doing. The first barber I asked for it butchered it, mostly because he'd never done a long cut in his life. Gianni took one look, diagnosed what was actually going on up there, and got me to a halfway cut. A couple months later, the cut grew in as he planned and he took me from 80 to 100%, right in time for my vow renewal. His profile calls him the brushback king and I couldn't agree more. Fair warning: he's meticulous, so plan on real time in the chair. You get what you pay for! Also book ahead. At least a month, in my experience. Gianni's popular and I've never once seen anyone get off the waitlist. The shop itself is worth the trip on its own. Great furniture, plants everywhere, and a back patio you can sit on if you're early or just want to hang. Vibes and the place is always clean. Their systems are top notch too. Plenty of notice before your appointment, everything organized, they offer you a drink when you sit down, and they use good products from the wash through the styling. The host is always so nice, everyone there is personable, and the music's great. One heads up: no parking lot. Street parking can be iffy if you catch a bad day, but there's usually at least one spot within a block. Go see Gianni!

Valerie was my manicurist and she took her time giving me the full works on my very easy hands and toes because they were pretty short already but she was meticulous with everything. She did a great job.
