When I decided that FUE would be my preferred option, I looked into traveling to Turkey, using the 1 provider in my small city, going to a large metropolitan city or utilizing a center which performs hair restoration frequently and has many positive reviews. I came across Quatela Center in Rochester NY. I have spoken with other centers (some would not answer questions until I paid and made an appointment with the provider. Some would not discuss an approximate cost (I know it can vary widely). When I spoke to Sue, my first contact from Quatela, she was friendly, informative, open and discussed the general process at length with no pressure. I felt like part of the team from the first phone call. The process from the beginning was smooth, client centered and professional. The Hair Team Manager, Stacie, was outstanding! Dr. Lee was down to earth, understanding and experienced. The procedure was explained in detail. Stacie assisted coordinating all of the pre-procedural requirements. She even completed the EKG when I had difficulty obtaining one. Upon arrival to Rochester, I had inadvertently chosen accommodations, which were substandard. When Quatela casually asked about it, they proceeded to arrange a high-quality hotel at no additional charge! I knew I was in for a pleasant experience. The next morning arriving early, Stacie and her team met me to initiate the procedure. Dr. Lee outlined the plan. The team worked like a well-oiled machine (Dr. Lee, Stacie, Moo, Maria, Latoya). They worked consistently, diligently and timely. The vibe that they enjoyed what they do and respect one another was evident. They were consistently asking me about comfort every step of the way. The most uncomfortable time was the injections for the nerve blocks, otherwise i felt pressure, but minimal pain. We listened to music and the time went by quickly, from preparing the donor hair to implanting. I was impressed at the way this Quatela team worked together. The facility was impressive and clean. The aftercare instructions were detailed. I had very little pain during or after. I am so pleased with the outcome, and it has only been 1-week status post procedure. I am very thankful I didn't travel overseas or go to a larger metropolitan city. Quatela was the perfect fit for me. Quatela obviously excels at what they do best. If anyone is contemplating utilizing Quatela, you will not be disappointed in the care you receive as they are exceedingly client centered and focused at delivering high-quality care. It's extremely important to have an experienced staff when having this procedure. It is a team that works on you not just the doctor. The transplant team has multiple years of experience and same people have been there doing the hair transplants for year. The customer service with ALL staff is on par with a 5 star hotel. I have no idea if the procedure here costs more or less than the few other places that perform this but I wasn't shopping for quality not price.

Apparently, There was some confusion to where I should have been waiting. They must have 2 waiting rooms; one for the spa side and one for the medical side. Anyway, the ladies that work here seem to be very nice and knowledgable. They told me my consult is $75 and can be used towards a product. I really wasn't expected to buy a product because I just wanted to have a laser used. But I bought 2 things, something they called "jet fuel" and a SPF powder. I scheduled another appointment for a needle rolling appointment. I'll let you know how that goes later!

It grew out awesome and I never even needed a re-shape in between. Sooo, admittedly most of my cuts have been when I have had long hair...which for me is the hardest for a stylist to get right. Chi Wah honestly has been the only one who looks at my face and balances the length of the layers to the shape of my jawline, cheekbones, and amount AND texture of my natural hair. She TRULY gives a custom cut! She is as talented now as ever and quite honestly, she should start her own school teaching these techniques bc they are SEVERELY lacking in the industry, and desperately needed.
