It has been quite a while since I have been here. I called to book an massage and the spa requires a card to hold the appointment. I was told to arrive 30 minutes prior for ease of checking in and settling down. Check in was very simple and easy. A front desk staff showed me to the back and taught me how to use the lockers. I changed into my robe and made myself a nice cup of tea and headed to the waiting area. I enjoyed some dried fruit in there while waiting for my masseuse. The room made me feel so relaxed and cozy. Kristen, my masseuse, escorted me to the room. I am glad I got the 80 minute renewal massage because I had knots all over my body. Kristen worked really hard got them all out and even stretched me. Can I keep her? As Kristen walked me back to the waiting area, she gave me a cup of chai tea. Kristen also told me to drink lots of water to get rid of all the toxins. I used the dry sauna and used a cold towel for my face afterwards. Then I took a shower. There were shower-heads from ceiling and on both sides of the wall. They offer body wash, shampoo, and conditioner also. The spa also had complimentary razors, shower girl, sanitized combs, straighteners, and curlers. Basically you only need to bring your clothes! This is definitely a splurge but so worth it. I will be taking my mom here in the near future.

Nice place to relax and unwind in the midst of cold Rochester winter. I came here with a couple of friends for a ladies day out. The spa is soothing and clean with an awesome lounge area. There is water and tea provided, in addition to dried kiwi and mango snacks (which I didn't care for as they were too sweet). I got a relaxing massage and the masseuse is friendly.

I have a new favorite service: hot stone massage. If you're looking to take your massage experience up a level, add hot stones. First of all, it adds a cozy, warm element to the experience. As someone who's always cold, I appreciated the consistent, warm pressure the stones provided. Secondly, they enhance the depth of the massage, adding an additional amount of pressure and muscle release with the combination of the rock's hard, but smooth surface as well as the heat. I felt like I was melting into the table like a pool of pure relaxation. This will be my exclusive massage pick for the foreseeable future. Although, I hear the hydrotherapy baths are amazing too and I want to try one of those treatments. Also, I made sure to block additional time after my massage to relax in the sanctuary room. It's blissful. I brought my own magazines and sat with a superb herbal tea in my cozy robe in the quiet, peaceful room. There were a few staff members who came in from time to time to offer fresh fruit skewers. A lovely touch. Either way, an extra hour to myself in peace and quiet with soft ambient music playing felt like the best treat. I was fully relaxed and recharged following this experience. I highly recommend a visit whether for a facial, pedicure, and especially a hot stone massage. We all deserve to treat ourselves.

I have been to the DelMonte many times and it has been getting worse each time. I spent over $300 on manicures and pedicures for a Christmas gift. Went to use mine and my manicurist was subpar, almost like I went to a mall for gel nails, I left with polish on my hands and less than a week last I had to glue my gel back down, it is peeling off in full sheets like my nails weren't prepared right. During the pedicure my lady disappeared for 15 minutes before she came back. I had to sit Myself down to no water and wait. I almost got up and left but my guests were enjoying themselves so I stayed.

Does anyone know what kind of massage oil or lotion is used for renewal massages? It smelled like an essential oil - I loved it and would be interested and purchasing for personal use...

I've had very mixed experiences here. I've gotten my hair trimmed/waxes here before and they did…read morewell. However recently I went here to schedule an appointment for my wedding hair. First I scheduled a trial and my stylist cancelled twice over the span of about a month. At this point it was only two weeks before my wedding and they couldn't fit me in with another "senior stylist" so I went with another random stylist and understood appointment would be free of charge for the inconvenience. However once the trial was done (it took almost 3 hours and still wasn't quite right) I still had to pay 95+ tip as apparently only the hair cut was free (25) and I still was expected to pay for the styling. Then we get to my wedding day and I am supposed to have a senior stylist but was cancelled on a THIRD time the day of my wedding and was only told once I arrived at the salon. The same girl who did my trial did my wedding hair and I didn't complain much because who wants to complain on their wedding day? My bridal party also got their hair done and it was all beautiful but mine took an extra hour compared to my bridal party even though I requested a very very simple style , just curls and a little bit pinned back, and it came out very poorly despite me trying to steer the stylist in the right direction. I had to redo my hair completely afterwards even though I paid over 100 for my hair. I curled it myself and had a wedding guest who happened to do hair help me style it. Took less then 20 minutes and was perfect when we did it ourselves. After the wedding I looked back at the photos they took at the salon and I can't believe they let me walk out like it was! Totally falling out, messy, asymmetrical and bobby-pins showing (Photos from the salon and by the time I got home) About 3 weeks after my wedding when all the celebrations were done we called this salon back to explain what happened and ask for a partial refund or at least something. My mother who called was accused of "extortion" by the owner when she said she was calling before I posted this review... which is an honest review and we wanted to give them a chance to right it before complaining online. Then we were told we should have planned my wedding further out which has nothing to do with them messing up my hair so much. In the end they said they would call us back and it's been 4 days now. Overall really disappointing, This was the most stressful part of my whole wedding. They should have done more to compensate me or at least done my hair well... this was my WEDDING hair for crying out loud.

I had a really nice experience here. I texted them last night to get in today and they were more…read morethan accommodating. I haven't been this satisfied with a partial highlight in a long time! I'm very icky about my hair and who does it but I'm not from around here and wanted to get it done today before the holidays. They also were very nice about me bringing my son. Will be back!

-DISHONEST - RUDE - UNPROFESSIONAL-…read more I only give one star reviews when the business fails to treat me like a human being. If you are polite, even if your product sucks, I'll give you at least 2 stars. As you can tell from my reviews and my rating distribution (https://www.yelp.com/user_details?userid=v1P1mFlnPjVTJredlhJuwg) - I *almost* never report negative experiences. I much prefer to use this forum to sing the praises of local businesses in hopes it helps them thrive. However, there are sometimes rare and extreme circumstances that make me break away from that mentality to use this venue as a warning to others (like being served raw chicken in a restaurant that won't make it right, or being blindsided by inexplicable personal attacks from a business manager, such as the case here.) Weeks back, I scheduled an appointment at SoHo Salon for my hair and nails for my pre-bachelorette party beauty treatment. Yesterday, two hours before my appointment, the technician (Tina) called and had to cancel; her vacation had run long. I was disappointed but understood. Things happen. She asked to reschedule. We rescheduled for this morning at 9:00, before the salon even opened. I moved around several other appointments and went on with my life. The last thing she said to me was "see you in the morning, thank you so much for your flexibility." This morning she did not show up, nor did she answer her cell phone. No one answered the Salon phone. I was disappointed, but not angry yet ; maybe she had an accident? Maybe she overslept; people make mistakes. I left a message on the salon voice mail, saying she missed our appointment and to please have a manager call me back. No one called me back. I continued calling throughout the day, at least 4-5 times, but did not leave additional messages. I wanted to talk to a manager because I knew a good, professional manager would have: (a) Acknowledged me. Because I am a human being who now had wasted hours of my time. (b) Apologized, because that's what professionals do when mistakes are made. The apology would them open the door for me to give them another try. (c) And most importantly, and the reason I kept calling back, a good, professional manager would have bent over backwards to fit me in for an appointment today, before my trip. No calls returned. On my call #4 or 5, someone did answer. The manager came on and was absolutely disgusting. I was very caught off guard. I had not been rude and I had no idea why he was so angry at me (unless they were screening their calls, and were frustrated I hadn't gone away yet?) ~ Manager Chaz said that she rented a booth from him and the missed appointment had nothing to do with him. To which I replied, "Sir, in all due respect, it does affect you. I hired her under your business name. When I go online and write about having a wonderful or terrible experience, that is on your business-" He hung up on me. Moments later, the owner called me. Told me that my appointment was in the calendar for next Wednesday, not today. To consider it cancelled. They didn't want my business. And HE hung up on me. I was even more confused. How did I misunderstand the words "See you tomorrow?" or the other words, "We will get it done before your trip on Thursday, so sorry I messed with your schedule."? Better still, how come the manager and owner were so angry at ME? I had done nothing but try to give them my business. And even if I screwed up in a way I don't see, how do they think it is okay to treat a fellow human being like that? I checked my email, and there was one from her, sent yesterday, confirming my appointment for this morning at 9am. I forwarded it to the manager... Still, no apology. So either the owner lied to me, or the woman who missed our appointment changed the schedule to cover her a** and lied to the owner. Either way, I had an appointment made weeks ago canceled and rescheduled, then a no-show, then no calls returned, then rudeness and hung up on, then called back to be hung up on again. These people are absolutely nuts. I am new in town and have been bouncing around trying to find a stylist I like; they just lost out on years of potential business. I am not upset Tina rescheduled. I am only a little annoyed she overslept and missed the appointment. But I am livid at the way I was treated in the fallout. In this situation, the manager took no responsibility at all and put the blame on his employee that he claims no longer works there. But despite the mistake of his worker, she is not the person who elevated this rectifiable situation with unprofessional and personal attacks - that was him. Yes, his employee didn't show up and then lied about it, but it is his responsibility as the manager to make the situation better for his clients. Instead, he made it much, much worse. Please, for the love of humanity, take your business elsewhere.
