This is my honest experience with Luxury Kittens Scottish Fold and the breeder, Valeryia. I purchased a kitten (Chip) directly through her website. At the time of purchase, no contract was shown, no agreement box was provided, and nothing was presented for me to acknowledge or sign. I also did not receive a veterinary health certificate or proof that a licensed veterinarian examined the kitten before I bought him. All vaccinations and deworming were done by the breeder herself, not a licensed vet. Within 24 hours of bringing my kitten home, he became sick and required urgent veterinary care. He was diagnosed with a parasitic condition--something that does not develop overnight. In my experience, this indicates the issue was preexisting before I purchased him. To be clear: I was not asking for my money back for the kitten, nor did I want a replacement. I only requested reimbursement for the medical bills I incurred due to a condition that existed before the sale. When I informed the breeder, she denied responsibility despite providing no contract, no upfront health documentation, and despite her own policy stating that kittens are sold healthy "to the best of her knowledge." She later sent me a "health certificate," and I initially believed it was a full medical update from a veterinarian who had examined my kitten. Instead, it was a blank certificate with only the vaccinations she performed herself -- not a record from any licensed veterinary professional. She offered only partial reimbursement, even though the condition clearly existed prior to purchase. Based on my experience, I do not feel this breeder operates transparently or professionally. Due to the lack of proper veterinary documentation at the time of sale, the misleading "health certificate," and the refusal to take responsibility, I am pursuing legal action. I'm sharing my experience so future buyers can make informed decisions and hopefully avoid the stress, financial loss, and emotional hardship I went through. read more

I purchased my kitten from Luxury Kittens in Dec 2020 and she is the most well behaved, cutest and friendliest cat I and many others have ever come across! She has been healthy since we got her and always has positive vet checks. She is extremely easy going, well tempered and very funny. She is also the absolute sweetest cat. In May 2023, I happened to be in LA for the weekend and decided to give Luxury Kittens a call. They were very nice and accommodating. I was able to see the kittens on Saturday and came home with a kitten on Sunday. I immediately took Luna to a vet for a checkup and was told she was very healthy and has been ever since I brought her home. I have now had my female silver spotted Scottish Fold kitten for 4 months. It took me a long time to decide to write this review. I decided to wait to write this review because I want to be as objective as I can, so that I can tell everyone what happened to me, what I went through with Val and hopefully this can help you guys make a more informed decision . I got mine scottish fold Teddy from Val in 2018. Its true Val was very sweet, nice and responsive until I had some healthy issue with the kitten. The day I took the cat home I found out it was infested with fleas. (She also has a location in Brooklyn, NY, which is under the same company name, there are more reviews there for you to make a more informed decision. ) I contacted her and she assured me there s nothing wrong with all her other cats and all the other buyers had not mentioned such. Less than a year later my cat was diagnosed with a CONGENITAL heart defect, and dispute all efforts it passed away just a littler over one year old. Our hearts were broken and with a heavy heart I reached out to Val hoping to warn her about potential similar health issues happening to Teddy' siblings. Initially she responded and asked me to forward her all the medical records. As I did in December 2019 she said due to the holidays she was not able to look at them. I contacted her again multiple times in 07/2020 she never bothered to reply. When she finally did, she said her vet quit and she has no vet right now to proceed with the matter. So in my opinion, if you are ok with paying $1500 - $2000 for a kitten with no health guarantee if anything were to happen because of breeding or genetic problems then Val is your person. If you are lucky to get a healthy kitten then you will have a great experience just like all the people who have their positive reviews here. I m sure it would be a different story if they got a sick kitten instead. Whilst I understands that pets get sick and dies, but when it comes to something that's CONGENITAL, that happened within a year after I got him, I think any reputable breeder would be quick in action to resolve and make the difficult situation a bit more easy for the owner, unfortunately Val is not one. Again this is what happened to me and my experience with her. Please do your research before you buy your pets from any breeders. read more

Got our girl from here. She is purrfect...so I recommended this Instagram store to My sis and her friend who also got two kittens from here at the same time and saved some on shipping cost. My sis's kitten was not very healthy to begin with and died for no apparent reasons. We sent his body for an autopsy/exam. Hopefully, she can get the report soon and have some closures, Another reason for the 2 stars is poor communication. My Ig message is always "seen" but never responded. At least respond and say "yes" or "no" to my questions or give me a response to my question. We finally got our babies home, two little girls. Doing business with Valerie (owner) was a pure pleasure and now we are happy owners of two wonderful babies. On the side note, I should say, first we have contacted former Valerie's assistant who failed to mention he is no longer with Valerie and runs now the same type of business by him self. Because his website was absolutely identical to Valerie's, it is very easy to get confused (he posted exactly the same pics and videos). Since we didn't know he is doing business behind Valerie's back we placed a deposit for 2 kittens. We were promised that by 8/20/19 we can see the kittens and by 8/27/19 we can take them home. However, none of the his promises were true. On 8/20 when we asked to see kittens, we were told that kittens are in NY, NY (he never said anything about New York before) and there is no camera to even take a pictures...??? Guy assured us that kittens will be in Los Angeles on 8/30/19, he personally will pickup our kittens from LAX and deliver to our house. Guess what... it never happened, instead, after i called him several times that day, he said that kittens we detained by US Custom (I didnt know domestic flights from NY are subjects for custom clearing). At this point we realized that he was lying all these times and we demanded our deposit back. I post all this on Valerie's Yelp page just because I want to make sure everyone does their research first and buy their furry friends from Valerie, not some pathological lair. read more

Valeriya from Luxury Kittens Scottish Fold is highly recommended. I searched long and hard before finding Valeriya My Leo who is a Lilac Scottish Fold is the sweetest, loving and funny little guy. He flew all the way from LA to St. Louis, MO with a nanny to ride with him in the main cabin so Leo wouldn't be stressed during his flight, he arrived as happy as can be and was purring the whole way home. Valeriya is very passionate with her kittens and you can tell she spends a lot of time with them and gives them tons of love because Leo loves people. We have had our Scottish Fold kitten for 4 days and so far is the purrfect little kitty. She acts like she has been here forever....she never hides, is totally litter trained, is affectionate and beautiful.I had been researching this breed for quite a while and had some communication with other breeders. There are some unethical/scammers out there I have discovered. Some even get kitties from out of the country in "bulk" and then try to resell them. Their prices are less than half and the owners cannot even tell you about the kitty's parents. The owner of Luxury Kitten, Valeriya was in NY so I did all my communication with her young assistant. He sent me current pictures and videos of the kitten we were interested in. He was even so accommodating that he offered to drive her 8 hours on a day's notice (he drove all night). He even brought some kitty food and litter. I took the kitten to a vet today for shots and an exam and the entire staff loved her and said what a wonderful cat she was. Everything about her was in tiptop shape and she was friendly and loving even while getting her shot and nails trimmed. I would recommend Valeriya and her team to anyone looking for a good quality, well adjusted, beautiful kitten. I wish we could have adopted one of its brothers or sisters.
