It was recommended that I visit this particular location, specifically setting an appointment with Tina. Needless to say, Tina exceeded my expectations on so many levels! She makes it a priority to be efficient, but thorough with any sort of nail service you desire to have done. She is personable, yet professional, which I take into heavy consideration. If I could leave 0 stars, I would. I never leave reviews but I have never received such poor treatment at a salon EVER. Not only is the woman behind the counter SUPER rude and rough, but she also would name one price and charge another at the time of payment. She has on MULTIPLE occasions BARKED at me and raised her voice at me in front of other customers when I asked simple questions like "how much do you charge for this service". It is extremely embarrassing especially when other customers look at me with pity. No one should ever feel this way coming into a salon. A few weeks ago, I asked the price for a half arm wax, which they quoted me $30, I got the service with one of the girls there, and when it was time for payment, the woman at the counter charged me $40 and said "the girl told me you have very hairy arms so it costs more" (I do not have any more hair than the average person) ALSO the girl had not even spoken to her so I knew it was a lie. I was hoping for a good pedicure but I received a great pedicure! I walked in and was serviced after about a 5 minute wait (killing time... USCIS adventure). I was offered a beverage and experienced something different I haven't seen before, instead of a disinfecting tablets going into your water, the salon has basin covers, which are removed after each customer... can you say sanitary! I'm extremely particular when it comes to mani/pedi services and let me say I am very pleased with the services of Kathy. No polish on the cuticles, great massage, and she cleaned my nail beds very well. I have found my pedi spot which is very hard to do in my opinion. I came in without an appointment on a Sunday afternoon and was promptly helped by Lisa. I got an excellent pedicure and gel manicure, both done by Lisa. She's very careful and pays attention to the details, making the whole experience very quick and enjoyable. Gel mani (not dip) and regular pedicure came out to $69, which I think is comparable to other area salons for the same types of services. The salon uses OPI colors, among other brands, and offers a very large color selection for regular polish, gel, and dip powder. I didn't get extensions or tips, but looking over at another patron who did, they looked excellent also. It's a great location, great service, and fair price, so I will definitely be back. read more

I stopped in without an appointment around 1:30 today (Wednesday) and didn't have an issue with sitting in a chair immediately to get my nails done. The nail tech, Tina, is incredible. I had a dip powder manicure still hanging on to my nails from 4 weeks ago, so they were in desperate need of attention. One of my nails was even tragically broken in half. I showed Tina the nail and she told me she could fix it without a problem. You can't even tell it was in such bad shape now! She was so meticulous when doing my nails and exceeded all of my expectations. I also wanted to make sure the powder color would look just like the sample nail (I like my light pinks to be pretty opaque) and she assured me that it would. They actually make all of the nail sample charts they use. Apparently the manufacturer will send salons pre-made charts for color swatches and that's why you find the discrepancies between what you see on the chart and what you get on your nails. Tina is such a genuine person, you can tell she cares a lot about her work, but also wants you to walk away happy. I think it's so important to find a perfectionist when you go to a nail salon, and Tina is nothing short of incredible! I wish I didn't live in Las Vegas because I would definitely be a regular here! I live right across the street and every time I come here I regret my decision. Somehow I always forget that they cut corners and they did it again today. I'm leaving a review to remind myself to never ever come back here. Today I paid for a spa pedi. Everything was fine until the tech started painting my toes. No base coat and no top coat, just the two layers of color. After I got home I realized my toe nails were not properly filed and the polish was colored outside of the nail and onto my skin in multiple places. I could have done a better job painting my toes. I have a nail tech that I usually go to in Maryland and have been going to for years, unfortunately she's been out of town so I decided to try Luxury Nails Spa because it is extremely close to my job. I called and made an appointment and the woman on the phone took my name and phone and said "see you at 5" but never asked what service I was looking for. Okay I guess... I show up at 5 and am quickly greeted by a man that works there. He was extremely friendly and nice the entire time I was there, he was probably the highlight of my experience. He asked if I wanted a beverage and brought over samples for me to pick a color. I ended up sitting there for about 15 minutes. He then takes me over to a pedicure chair and fills the water. A woman comes over and hastily drills the gel off of my toes instead of soaking it off and tells me someone else will be over to actually do my pedicure. I was happy about that because her drilling the gel off was aggressive and shouldn't have been happening anyway. So I continue to sit in the pedicure chair for about 30 minutes, which means I had more than enough time to soak the gel off but okay... A young lady (Quinn) comes over and begins my pedicure she was really gentle and does an good job on my pedicure. The massage was AMAZING! Cutting and shaping is a little off. Next she begins my hands, I got SNS (dipping powder) again shaping off ( I'm a stickler about shape) but I honestly feel that she did her best. While she is doing my nails the woman who drilled the gel off of my toes is cleaning up and literally turning off lights in the salon as if they do not have customers there! 2/3 of the salon was dark and I wasn't even close to being finished. Mind you I got here at 5 and had an appointment and it is now 7:30, so they just cut off the lights...weird. She finished my nails and I was given their happy hour price for my hands because it took so long. At the counter, again the woman with the drill, tells me the price is $135 and I pay using my phone. She then picks up a stack of paper/cards and while shuffling through them says "you want her Venmo" so I just say "Sure" because she didn't really ask. I didn't end up leaving until about 8, yep 3 hours! Overall, not a place I would go again. read more

Came by Luxury Nails to have some serious waxing done. I talked to Tina and she said she can do it.The room was well lit, but the table didn't really give her to much space to walk around. I asked to use the bathroom first and she pointed in the direction of the bathroom.  While I was gone, it gave Tina time to get a few small details done. The bathroom was will lit too and fairly clean. The bathroom had been used by several people after all.  The walls were clean and the pictures of various landmarks combined into one frame is nice.  I also notice the many signs talking about parking and not forgetting to press the button to get a two free hours of parking. Yes, too many people forget to do this and come back to find their cars towed. Parking can be  a pain, but in fairness, the fee for the big parking lot is $4.95 now...I think. Small price to pay for an unlimited time of parking. Walking back into the waxing room, I found Tina standing there with a smile on her face. I also did not see the woman with the bewildered look on her face. Tina stood to the side of the door while I undressed and got onto the waxing table. Small talk occured as Tina said she would be starting on the Brazilian waxing first. I found out that there were only two other guys that come here to get waxed. I also learned the THE MAIN REASON MOST WAXING PLACES DON'T WAX MEN IN THE BRAZILIAN IS BECAUSE THEY ARE NOT PROPERLY TRAINED IN COSMOLOGY CLASSES. Telling "students do this and don't do this" is not enough. Actual hands on training for male and female Brazilian is definitely needed.  The article I read about and Tina confirmed this fact makes this very scary. Students are left to figure it out with time and experience. Most of the people get comfortable with women, but I have read bad reports on accidents happening with women too. Update, I have gotten word that the owner of Luxury Nails will no longer service males for Brazilian Waxing....I we would be surprised if the whole waxing thing is just for women only now....c * I did have the opportunity of getting dead skin removed from my feet, and it was enjoyable. Tina is a very cool lady from what I saw. If a mistakes is made the problem will be corrected. I will most definitely come back to experience the full pedicure. Especially since this place uses the disposable plastic bag that go over the pedicure spa bowls. I think this is becoming a standard thing or it is a new law. A new tech who started that day did my nails and they looked pretty mediocre after so I have tried other places (coincidentally the nail salon this tech had previously been at and had negative feed back). I decided that it was time to #treatyoself so I called the day before for an appointment. When I arrived the following day, there was nobody at the front to greet me and I was greeted by a girl sitting at her station playing on her phone (there were a few employees sitting around). When I explained that I had an appointment, they weren't aware what it was for. I just told them I wanted to do a spa pedicure. I picked a color and sat in my chair. A regular pedicure was $23 and the spa pedicure was $40 but the only difference was a warm scrub. No hot stones, no paraffin wax, nothing else that made it special. The girl was nice and she was quick, and the massage chairs did their job. However, when I went home and took a closer look at my toes, I noticed that she painted on my cuticles! There isn't really anything super "luxury" about this nail salon, because I've had better experiences at other neighboring salons for about the same price, if not less. The owner is very nice and the place is very modern and clean but the quality of nail care is lacking. Gel manicures weren't the best and for them to work very slow and take an extremely long time, they didn't last the standard two weeks. Went back once to fix a nail that chipped in two days, but I don't think I'll be back again (it chipped again before the week was over). Just saw Tina for the second time, and I could not be more pleased! First off, the salon is beautiful; incredibly clean, well appointed, very welcoming, and all of the staff (that I've met) are sweet and attentive. Tina is a rare gem, though - she takes her time, listens to her clients, and is friendly to boot! I initially went in for a basic fill-in, but there were some problems with my nails (left over from the horrid salon in Gaithersburg) and I ended up just getting my nails removed and a new full set. I decided not to use the polish I brought and instead get a French mani. I'm not usually a fan of the starkly painted white tips, but she seriously makes an art of it. Light pink on the bottom, then coat after coat after painstaking coat of glass-clear topcoat. Wow. Just...wow. She took her time, had me cure them in between coats, and scrutinized them each time.
