I'm really distraught about this past visit. I've been going here on the regular for a few years now for pedicures. Always great service. Now to my birthday. I decided to treat myself to builder gel. I went in specifically asking for builder gel. I said I wanted my nails short. Just past my finger tips. I wanted builder gel. I wanted natural pink. I had a photo of what I hoped to get. Realistic. Nothing crazy at all. I started with my pedicure. No issue there. It was great. Then they come to do my hands. I've not had my nails done in years. Many years. So they put the tips on and cut them down. Then start dipping. I'm not sure if this is the process. Well it isn't. I ended up with dip nails. I didn't want to switch up and make them remove it after they'd already started so I just let them finish. That's on me because I'm very non confrontational and just do what's easiest even if it's at my expense. Well they also did no clean up or cuticle work. And I asked several times to fix crooked nails and it never was right. So I left with crooked thick nails, ragged cuticles and dip on the cuticle and surrounding skin. Now I know. Some of it is on me. I couldve made them start over. But I shouldn't have to. I showed a photo of what I wanted. Color and very short natural look. I asked for builder gel at the beginning. Dip should've never been anywhere near me. My ignorance of the process was a factor but it shouldn't have been. I came home and had to clean up my own nails. File to shape properly and fix all the crookedness. Pedicures are fine. Nails? I'll probably go somewhere else from now on. read more

I have been coming to this nail salon for a little over five years and during that time I have noticed a significant shift in the level of service. Familiarity and convenience kept me returning, but after my most recent visit, I believe it may be time for a change. My son and I came in for pedicures and I also planned to get my usual dip manicure. In the past, they would begin my nails while I was getting my pedicure, but that did not happen this time. Because of the long wait, I decided to skip the dip and just have it removed. I was charged $10 for the dip removal and $20 for the file down/no color or anything. And during the process, the technician actually broke one of my nails. Then comes the pedicure quality, which is why I had to return today. There were visual streaks in the polish and nail polish on my nail bed. When they attempted to correct it, a technician selected a polish color without asking what shade I wanted. When I asked to see the color book so I could choose the correct one, she left the polish she selected and walked away without correcting it. I sat for about six minutes before someone else finally came over to assist me. Thankfully, another technician brought the color book and I was able to select the right shade. She corrected it without hesitation, but this was not the first time I had to return to have something corrected the next day. After being a loyal customer for several years, the last year of experiences have been met with frustration and disappointment. read more

Lux salon is actually luxurious in terms of services they provide and how they provide them to you. First of all its gigantic. I didn't count but easily there were 15-20 pedicure chairs and same for manicure tables. It is advised to book an appointment but if you haven't then be patient to wait for 30-40 minutes and they would happily accommodate you. Your technician will ask your preference of colour and type of service you want and it will be delivered smoothly. Big TV screens keep you occupied, music is upbeat , ask for ur choice of drink and get relaxed. My pedi cure was $48 n it included deep cleaning, scrubbing , hot wax and cream massage . I was sent to another person for nail set and she was equally good. She took her time to mix the powders to get the exact shade as i showed her. I get a new price every single time I go there even when I get the same exact thing done to my nails it's a new price every time. I went in to get an acrylic fill and it was $55! Please be considerate of when you go. The nail salon closes at 7:30 and to show up at 7:00 and make these ladies work late is very inconsiderate. They have been there all day, they want to go home just like everyone else does at the end of a log work day. If you show up at 7:00, they have to take you because there open but they will not be getting off at 7:30. This is my second time coming and I have found my new salon. I've tried two other places in the past few months and within a couple days my nails were falling off. Van is amazing, she does an amazing job and she is super sweet. I won't be trying different places anymore, I love this salon. Everyone is so nice. Today a lady went off on the manager because she felt she was being over charged for designs on her nails and you could tell she was someone that is never pleased. She left a mean review and tried to claim it was a race thing which is a lie. I wanted to make sure I got on here and spoke up. The manager was very professional and stayed calm the whole time. FRAUD pedicure advertising. Very disappointed with our pedicures. We checked in at 7pm & were out the door by 7:43pm. We paid for the signature 50 MIN pedicure. Our pedicure was 35 MINS total & I wasn't able to allow my polish to dry due to the technician wanting to go home BEFORE closing time at 8pm. Sally & Linda were our nail techs. I voiced to the front desk about our concerns while Sally refused to give us any type of discount for our basic 30 MIN pedicure. The front desk was kind enough to give us $10 off each pedicure but still very disappointed with how this was handled. I had one of the worst experiences here. The employee wouldn't listen to what I wanted and instead decided to charge me more after I had told her I only wanted gel. She made the nails super bumpy and cut me multiple times. I could also understand what she was saying to her other co-workers, which were not so nice things about me. You could see her complaining about my request in design for the gel nails plus she would be very aggressive with my hands in general. I will definitely not be coming back again because they also treated my mom terribly. All in all it's bad customer service, so I wouldn't recommend if you're planning on getting your nails done here. You could even tell she wasn't trying to make the nails look good because she made the design look like a literally wad of paint on the top. The first photo actually makes a 4 weeks & a day for them to actually stay. So far only one nail has popped off and that was around the 3rd week... these were actually dip & they last so long. I wanted to try a new salon since my normal tech has been out of the country for a month, so this one looked like a good option. My daughter and I arrived, and the interior is very lovely; however, customer service does lack. When we walked in, I advised we needed two sets of dip nails and one pedicure. We were leaving on vacation the next day, she sent us to wash our hands and came back to the front, and she told us to pick a color in the polish display. I told her again we're getting dip and doing white on my toes. She sent us to the pedicure chairs with acetone to soak my nails, where we sat for about 25 minutes waiting on a tech. I'm not sure what they have in the nail soak, but I spent about 3 hours after my nails scrubbing my hands to get this flakey, rough substance off my hands!! I've NEVER had that at any salon! I get my nails done every three weeks, so I know my nail stuff!! My nails came out extremely lumpy and, after one week, are lifting on the sides! The tech glued the tip on incorrectly, and lifting between my actual nail and tip, it's pretty annoying. I paid for the 56 dollar pedicure and was supposed to be a 50 minute pedicure but finished before my nails were even done. The massage was not good and the whole pedicure was rushed! I'm not one to ever complain, but this was probably the worst set of nails I've ever gotten, and the entire experience is enough for me never to come back! read more

This new business had the unfortunate luck of opening just before the pandemic took hold in North Texas. Now that they are able to open, they deserve your business. The finish out is beautiful but more importantly, they are doing a really good responsible job of keeping their staff and their customers safe. Temperature checks and waivers are required to check in. Everyone is wearing a mask, and there are Lucite shields on the tables for manicures. Cherry was so wonderful. She took the time to mix the matching acrylic powder for my fill. I gave her a photo of what I wanted and she made it look exactly the same, hand painting the designs on each nail. The building itself is clean and well decorated. Absolutely never going back. I asked for dip and wanted just a bit of glitter over my color. When I asked the nail tech she did not inform me this was going to be considered ombre. Which mind you I've had ombre plenty of times at other nail salons and this was definitely not ombre. All she did was sprinkle a bit of glitter over the color I already had with a brush. If this is what you call ombre you need to attend an ombre class. When I walked up to register I was charged an extra 10$ from what I was originally quoted because they said I asked for ombre. My granddaughter and I visited this salon for the first time on Monday, 2/28/2020. we both had manicures and pedicures. the pedicures I would give a 5 star, I had Jennifer and she did an awesome job, my manicure lady was horrible, I told her several times she was rough, she did not push my cuticles back or cut the, my pedicure lady had to do it, then she was rough with the hot stones ect, I had to ask for the manager because she was not using the products I paid for and the supposedly hot stone was not hot and she bearly used lotion on my arms and they both ended up bruised. I told the manager and she did not eve. give me a discount, she said the lady doing my mani, was contacted and she did get me some one else to finish the nails which was my pedicure lady. it just disappointed that she did not give me any kind of discount and I had to pay for a service I did not receive other then leaving all bruised. it was not a good manicure experience, we were also there over 2 hrs, for a mani and pedicures. no one should ever have to go through this, this was suppose to be a relaxing day at the spa, and I came out bruised. read more

When I entered the salon, I was impressed with how beautifully decorated it was. I was seated within ten minutes but then waited another 25 minutes. I then asked someone who worked there how much longer before starting my manicure? I was told, "soon." The tech arrived within five minutes and said, "You look tired." (I was actually well rested, had full make-up, and was dressed up. So her comment was surprising). The nail polish used must have been old because it looked cakey.
