LITERALLY THE WORST WORST WORST NAIL SALON!!…read more I came in the middle of the week during the afternoon - I was the only customer for at least 25 minutes. The two ladies that were working were playing on their phones, moving things around, talking to each other, and not concerned at all about me. That was bad but once my nail tech, Anna started dipping my nails - IT WAS AWFUL. She was so rushed and incredibly sloppy that she kept messing up each dip layer. Her way of fixing it was to continue adding more dip to my nails. As you can see from the pictures, my nails look like literal globs, the dip is so thick and unnatural. I couldn't even believe I had just got my nails done at a salon. I've been getting dip on my nails for a very long time, and I have never ever ever ever experienced such an awful nail service before!!! And on top of all that, this nail salon should be shut down for not following proper sanitation guidelines. I'm pretty sure the nail file, nail buffer, brush, nail rotary & everything else has been used on hundred of other people & never cleaned. My only bit of defense here is when I refused to pay for the dip, they didn't argue. They knew it was a HORRIBLE dip set & they let me leave. The first time I came, I asked for natural looking dip and they made them very chunky and I had to have the manager file them down afterwards so they looked normal. And the lady who worked on my nails was very rude to my friend and I. The second time I went, the actual work looked good, but I they weren't following hygiene protocol and overcharged me significantly . The lady who gave my manicure was about to use used cuticle cutters on me and I had to remind her to please get a sealed sanitized bag of tools instead. Then they charged me separately for each manicure step. First they charged to remove the old dip, then they charged for the normal manicure (like filing my nails, and cutting my cuticles), plus a separate $60 charge for the gel! In total, they charged me $120!! I've gotten my nails done for several years now and in several more expensive states like California and New York and I've never been charged anything close to that high. Also, this was for a standard gel manicure without any special designs, French tip, massage, or anything like that. After all of that, their recommended tip selections were 25-30% smh

I was paired with Mimi, and she did an excellent job. I had gel polish that needed to be removed before my pedicure, and one thing I especially appreciated was that Mimi did not grind it off with a Dremel/electric nail sander. She removed it gently, which is a big plus for me. My feet were also in terrible shape pain-wise. I spend a lot of time outside at our farm and had been walking over rocks, so they were extremely sore. I explained to Mimi in Vietnamese that my feet really hurt and needed some extra attention, and she understood exactly what I meant. She gave me one of the best foot and lower-leg massages I've had during a pedicure. For me, that part alone was priceless. I had also just gone through a very scary experience driving on I-20 earlier that morning, so sitting down with a glass of wine and having someone work the knots and soreness out of my feet was exactly what I needed! They have a really good selection of colors, displayed in color books rather than making you hunt through bottles. The salon itself isn't one of those huge, ultra-luxury nail spas -- it's fairly simple -- but everything I saw was clean and comfortable, and I'd much rather have excellent service than pay extra for fancy décor. I chose the pedicure that was one level above the basic pedicure, added gel polish, and the total was $55 before tip -- including the gel polish. I thought that was very reasonable, especially considering how much time Mimi spent on the massage and my feet. Excellent value, excellent service, and I would definitely return and request Mimi. One thing to know before heading over: Zen Nails & Spa is closed on Tuesdays.

Initially everything was going good, nice customer service, quick to start the nails. Where it went downhill is the work. It is horrible and especially for $130 in this economy. While getting a pedicure, one of the ladies cut my toe very badly, it's cleaned up in the photo I've attached, however it was bleeding bad in the salon and very painful. I asked for milky white polish on the toes, and well it's plain white.. they also don't paint the full nail. To top it off the lady doing my nails added so many coats of gel polish that the nails were chunky and thick looking. I specifically asked for straight square shape nails, and I would expect them to be nicely shaped for the price. The lady did not even attempt to fix the shape. When it was time to pay I told the man at the counter my concerns and he did not care. Overall, I would never recommend this place to anyone, save your time and money and go somewhere that does better work. I had to come home and fix my nails shape myself.
