She and another lady started arguing. All my daughter asked for was a lil glitter polish over her nails. Last couple times I went, they did something similar. Do not go to this Salon . I went here and they did a poor job ! Here is a picture of what i asked for and how I left ! WORSE PLACE EVER. Did not properly take off my previous set -- she used a nail tip to remove my nails instead of a proper soak off and because of that the glue and acrylic burned my nail bed during the process. Worst mani/pedi I have ever had and a waste of hard earned money and tip. I needed gel removed and they did not soak it off of my natural nails but scraped it off against my request as I have soft nails. Then they proceeded to paint my nails so thick to cover the remaining gel they couldn't scrape off that it was never going to dry and the paint just rippled. They also filed my nails with an acrylic file that splits natural nails. They also didn't file a chip out of my big toe and when I showed them just ignored me. Horrible! I had to go straight to Walgreens and buy nail polish remover pads to remove the mess they left. I bought acetone removal pads and it easily removed the remaining gel like I asked them to do in the first place but they would only scape it with a metal tool and didn't even try to wipe it off with cotton pad a remover. My first visit to get a DIP. "Cindy" rushed my nails and did a ok job but the next day the thumb nail chipped. I went back to get it fixed they sent me away said it was closing time. I went back again the next day, Cindy did a poor rush job to fix the thumb, later that evening the my fire finger nail chipped, next day the other finger chipped! Several chipped nails from the DIP! I paid $40.00 and a $6.00 Tip, that did not even last 1 week!! I will not go back!! Very disappointed!!! read more

First time here. First of all, I called beforehand and they said they serve a drink while getting service. It's a small shop and no drinks or massage chair! Got a pedicure. The lady had to redo my toenails after pedicure because she missed the edges of nearly every toe. She (said her name is Cindy) wasn't kind about it, and not apologetic or wanting to make it right. Best nail salon ever! I came here the day before my wedding to get my nails done and I was very particular about what I wanted. I wanted gel, French tip with a chrome gold tip. The gold powder they had was a little too yellow for my liking so the store manager helped me mix a little silver into the gold to make the perfect gold tone! It's Christmas Eve and I desperately needed my nails done. My regular nail salon's phone line was busy so I thought they may be closed due to the holiday. I went to this salon because like others have stated they have the best reviews in the area. And my friend recommended Vicky. But she was busy.. This salon was neat clean and friendly but Unfortunately the lady who did my nails didn't do the best job. Even tho I said "square square" several times, she still made the edges round. They were lumpy, The cuticles were sloppy and the top coat dried terribly. Not smooth or shiny at all. Luckily when I left, I decided to try to call my normal salon "la Bella nails" off Cooper street one more time and they answered!! I rushed over and they were able to clean them up so well! So if cooper street is not too far I highly recommend La Bella Nails. Pretty much any technician is great and does a good job! Not sure that the pictures do it justice but here's a comparison- The pic on the right is before they were fixed and the one on the left is after. I went in Saturday evening for a gel pedicure and French tip acrylic nails. The pedicure was great however it's only Tuesday and my nails have already lifted and the sides of my nails or not even covering my actual nail. I wish I would have also been notified from the beginning they do not have French tip acrylics as they had to paint the white on over regular acrylics and finished with a clear coat that left my nail texturized instead of smooth. I have my Marine Corps ball this weekend and wanted a nice nail look but unfortunately was let down. read more

I went to nail concepts earlier today because it had the best reviews in the area. I was very disappointed with the experience. First, I asked for a full set of nails and classic pedi. I wanted my finger and toenails to be the same color and was told it wasn't possible. Then was handed a different set of polish options for my fingers. In hindsight i should have found this odd but in the moment i took them at their word. Turns out I was upcharged to gel, without my consent, and was later forced to pay for it. Multiple nails were put on undersized and/or crooked. And I asked multiple times for shorter nails to have the lady doing them tell me "they look better long." I explained to her that I do a lot of yard work and that I preferred them shorter, only to continue to be met with resistance. Eventually I gave up and decided to file them down at home. You can see the end result in the pictures. Did I mention I'm having my engagement pictures taken later today and am now stuck with crooked and undersized nails? They did take $5 off the total for messing them up, (I would prefer they fixed it) but they would not correct the charge to match what I asked for initially, so I actually ended up paying $15 more than I should have. I am typically a low maintenance customer but this is the worst nail salon experience I've ever had so I wanted to share. read more

My first time coming to this nail salon. I normally go to organic nail bar that is across the street but they are closed due to covid. I am pregnant and can barley bend over to cut my toenails. So I came in and I decided to get a manicure as well as a pedicure. Lady was really nice but I don't recommend her work. I paid $120 (tip included) for a gel mani and pedi. No fake nails/tips. Usually at organic nail bar I pay 45$ for both and they normally do a better job. I had gel stuck to the sides of my nail and it took forever to try to get it off. I know covid affected a lot of people's income, so I gave her a $30 tip. I've been here many many times and always been pleased. The manager has done my nails before and I loved them. Even took a pic because I loved them so much (first pic) Tonight- she was rude and seemed annoyed as soon as I walked in the door. She was pushy and rude throughout my fill- which was so rushed and rough. When it came time to do my tips- she was rushed even more. I was left with thick nails- unpainted ends, paint around and under all of my nails, everything was uneven and very crappily done. After taking my $21 and $5 tip (STUPID me) she rushed out. I asked another woman if that was the manager, she said yes- I explained and showed her my issue. She immediately had someone come try to help. She removed some of the paint- still didn't paint the ends, she added paint to the corners to try to even- but now there is a huge chunk in the corner of each nail that looks awful!!! Still with paint everywhere, unpainted ends, bulky nails- I left. I obviously was getting no where. The 2nd lady did try- she was nice- but it didn't help at all. I don't usually get my nails done, but I was getting yogurt next door and decided to treat myself out even more. Why not :P I walked in and received a bunch of hellos from the ladies. There were two other clients who looked like regulars enjoying their pedicures. I was helped right away. The place was kept pretty clean. I went for a simple solid color on my nails, but I went bold with bright orange with encouragement from the lady helping me. I never would've chose it on my own, but I said hey, why not. After she was done, I loved it! I actually got a lot of compliments. My cousins even told me to do their nails for them, but I had to admit that I didn't do it myself but had them done at Nail Concepts. lol I also got my eyebrows waxed. She took me to a private room and used all new craft sticks and fabric, so I didn't have to worry about hygiene. These ladies took care of me very well. Okay so let me give y'all the real run down about this place. It's nicely decorated. The people are fairly nice. The nails sometimes look good. But the quality of the nails are poor. My first time visiting my nails were so cute and a few end up coming off with ease. Not like I caused trauma to the nail or anything I just look down and they were broken. So I took the rest off with ease and went and got a new set. Because of course replacing nails cost more and half of them were missing. I went back and got another full set and same thing happened again! I was in bed and a nail just broke! Then I look again and another broke. So I called to let them know because at this point this is unacceptable and YALL charge too much for nails to just be breaking like that! There's no excuse! So she welcomed me back to get my nails fixed. I went to get them fixed plus change my nail color because, the last visit she chose the wrong color! I picked elegant pink and she came back with dulce pink. I let it slide cause I got two compliments before leaving and then my man liked it but I personally hated the color on my skin and it NEVER grew on me. So as she's soaking by broken nails off she tells me my nails are breaking because my nail bed was short. Mind you my nail bed is always short because I have anxiety and that's why I get my nails done! I got my nails done in Virginia prior to coming to them and they lasted even through the most daunting tasks at work. So that's no excuse at all cause my nails were breaking while doing absolutely NOTHING w their set. Bottom line is they make their apex too thin and I swear they're cutting acrylic with baking soda. Because there's no way! And while I was getting mine fixed another women came in for guess what?! A broken nail. So I told the lady I wanted a fill in just to add more acrylic and then a nail color change. She told me no I don't need it. Like she's tryna save acrylic or something. Like how can you tell me what to do with my nails? JUST WANTING me to come back and spend some more money but it won't happening. They're already breaking and YALL are filling them down even more so guess what they're going to break again. This women charged me $20 for a color change? And the color was applied ugly. And on top of that the nails they replace were square when my original set was coffin. So I had two square and the rest coffin. And just like expected I left and I told my fiancé and sister watch they're gonna break again! Cause y'all done drilled them even thinner then before. And guess what two of them broke in the blink of and eye. Needless to say I took those pieces of shit off and went back to regal nails in Walmart! And I unfortunately a third time had to pay for a full set. Luckily now I don't have to worry about them breaking. Bottomline is I won't be coming back. I wasted $110 on this place in two weeks and it shouldn't have been that much. Two unnecessary full sets and one unnecessary color change. They do nails just so you can return within a week and that's not okay. I don't know about anybody else but I don't have time to be sitting in a nail salon all day and every week. I wasn't gonna leave a bad review until she tried to come up with an excuse. I know about nail technology I'm a cosmetologist! And furthermore while she was doing my nails I know she was talking MESS in Asian to the other workers cause they were all looking over at me like I'm the problem. My mom and I went for mani-pedis, and enjoyed the service we received. We only asked for the basic mani-pedi, but Mom added the stone massage, which was only $5 more. There was no pressure to add additional services, which I found refreshing. The shop is very clean, and has been expanded with new pedicure chairs. I went in today for mani/pedi. Nothing special just regular polish because I need to give my nails a break from dipping powder. The tech was nice but the polish on my fingers was awful. She didnt do a good job trimming cuticles & she applied the polish unevenly. The nail polish must have been clumpy because she added remover to the bottle to thin it out. After 20 mins under the drying fan she said I was good to go. I didn't even make it home & my thumbs were messed up & I could see areas on each finger that looked like only one coat of polish was applied, index finger had air bubbles that formed under the polish. I called & was told to return when I wanted to. I went back after my dental appt later in the afternoon & the Owner was so so about the issue, told me I should have gotten gel instead & then 2nd tech took over. She had me choose a gel color & said it would be better. Upon leaving they asked for an additional $15 even though it was never mentioned I'd pay more. When I got home & removed my shoes both big toes are also were also messed up. $65 later & 4 hours out of my day I will not return. I will also add 5 mins after I sat down another lady walked in with chipped gel nail polish. She told me it was just 2 days on & it was peeling off 4 of her fingers. So this wad my first time visiting this salon. I called ahead to schedule an appointment and they told me to come on in. So I did. Upon entry I was not greeted. When I finally was greeted she handed me the covid19 waiver which I graciously filled out. I was wearing a mask... as were MOST of the others in the salon. When she came to me she took me temp. I was happy with all of these precautions. They also had the plexiglass dividers between you and the nail tech available. Then I start getting my pedicure. I notice they're not consistent with using them. Some ppl had some but others didn't. They're also not consistent with who's temperature they check or who they make wear a mask. Then two other black women walk in. One wearing a mask the other was not. The lady who runs the front desk made her go back outside and put one on.. not everyone in there had a mask on. I was the only person she checked for a temp. I wont return here although she did a good job on my nails and my nail tech was nice, I feel I was discriminated against. I didn't cough or sneeze or show any signs of being sick. They serviced another couple with no issues and neither of them had on a mask. But refused service to the Black woman who didn't have hers. My last experience here was not good. I asked for a cut down not a cut off. I was soaking my hands while getting a pedicure, therefore, I couldn't see exactly what was going on. Next thing I new all my right-hand naturally grown nails were gone! It was done so quickly! I was upset due to taking them forever to grow.
