Directly across the street from our Hotel Le Meridian, one would find this upscale trendy eatery where we discovered lunch. Other than the surprising picture on the wall of a NYC Bronx subway and our entertaining waiter the food was good along with the service.

Nice spot for breakfast in las ramblas, right across the street from the Le Meridien hotel. They have a good selection of breakfast options and lots of seating. I wouldn't say the food is anything special (breakfast), but its convenient and a safe option if you are not sure what to eat.

So I've tried this place twice since I've been in Barcelona. The first time I got the pizza which was amazing. Well made with great flavor. The second time I got the pasta. It was good not amazing. The service is good and so is the red sangria.if every visiting I would recommend this place for a good dinner. Good atmosphere and music.

Clean, organic, made to order food! Kind and friendly staff from the open air kitchen to the waitstaff. Great Lattes too. Open on Sundays and great for breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. Calm and inviting atmosphere. Music is soft over speakers but don't listen to close, its radio remakes..not so well but I'm sure most will not notice. We ate here several times during our stay because it was so good! Wish we could take it to our village in the states!

Loved this place. Great service and food. We were a group of 12 and the totally accommodated us with a great large table. All the cooking is done out in the open and the ingredients are very fresh. The sangria was excellent.

Trendy spot. Food was delicious. Loved the open kitchen concept. Upstairs had extended dining area looks good for a party venue.

Happy staff, happy Carafe? Hey it rhymed, what can I say. Staff was beyond sweet, accommodative and helpful. Seems uncommon in Barcelona, but this seemed like a well run establishment and the simple pizzas were very good. Not much else to say other than when you get tired of all the tapas, go here and have a Pizza and some sangria!

The fig jam paired tastefully with the cheese selections. We also enjoyed the fried prawn.

The fig jam paired tastefully with the cheese selections. We also enjoyed the fried prawn. Service was slow and we did not get an explanation of what the different cheeses were but the food was enjoyable.

I stumbled upon Luzia after leaving the beach and doing some late night shopping, and I certainly do not regret it. Upon entering Luzia, I immediately noticed there was a wait due to nearly every table on the first floor being occupied, however, the gentleman host (or manager/owner) was welcoming and encouraged me to stay, so I did. The gentlemen escorted me to the bar and stated the wait should not be that long. I waited at the bar for my table for nearly 45 minutes yet the bartender did not speak nor did she offer me a beverage. Once I was seated at a table, the initial service to place my drink order was extremely slow. However, I remained patient because the waitstaff was clearly busy and the establishment may have been understaffed that particular night. Once our waiter made it to our table, the experience skyrocketed. I do not remember his name but I distinctly recall him stating he was originally from the Dominican Republic. The gentleman was efficient, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. He even helped unload a delivery truck while I was enjoying my entrée. He is truly a great employee, an asset to Luzia, and he is destined for greatness! Pros: Stays open until Midnight, Wonderful selection of offerings, Fresh ingredients, Beautiful ambiance, and Fairly priced Cons: Long wait time, and The service was rather slow.

Nice pizza place. We each ordered a personal pizza and a pitcher of sangria for all of us. Both tasted good and satisfied our appetite. Place is pretty and staff is nice. They have two floors and the place is roomy nice music I. The background. Sorry no pictures of the food we were hungry and for got.

This place is so awesome. When you don't know where to eat, or what you want to eat in s bustling location such as las rambles, this is a go to. It has everything you need from sushi, to Italian to Spanish tapas flare and everything prepared very well. We ordered the pizza, the tuna appetizer and the pimentos de padron which I was addicted to while traveling through Spain. The sangria was also delicious and the wine flows and is cheap. We loved the place so much that we ate there twice while staying in Barca.

A little pricey for what it is, but nice atmosphere and service. Food was great! Got spaghetti bolognese and potats bravas.

The sangria was the only standout of this place for us. The tapas were not anything special but they were good. I'd skip the eggplant dish!

Walking in the front room full of people and old antique furniture and plates was very charming. Felt like a lot of dressed up locals. We were lead to back room for 9pm (opening time) reservation (someone on Yelp recommended! TY!) Saw another table kinda blasé attitude with their food or unhappy in general and maybe not a good day. I couldn't decide between the Lasagna & Eggplant parmigiana. The waitress said to get the beef Lasagna for sure kind of their specialty-wow! Yes!! I could have eaten a second! Thinking of this place in hindsight is making me hungry and bummed to not know a place this good. Fresh pasta! Trying everyone else's pasta I think Mine was best. Paper thin sheets of Lasagna noodles and sauce, then Carbonara 2nd place and bolognese 3rd-not enough sauce-for the bolognese. Red wine by glass was perfect too. Worth every penny! Even the kids Lemonade was uniquely delicious.

It was busy when we arrived but there were still many tables available. The decor was warm & welcoming. Unfortunately I wish I could say the same for our server. He was abrupt & seemed annoyed we were there, not very attentive either. However, our food was wonderful! We ordered two entrees, a beef sirloin dish & a pasta dish. Our food came out fast. The beef were tender sirloin medallions in a flavorful white wine sauce over risotto, very delicious. The pasta was stuffed with truffle served with a porcini mushroom sauce & truffle pearls. A luscious dish...both rich & satisfying. We really enjoyed our dinner!

Anniversary Dinner in Barcelona -- Pleasantly Surprised!…read more Celebrated our anniversary here at Luigi's while in Barcelona, and honestly, I was surprised that it wasn't as expensive as I expected for a nice sit-down spot in the city. Service was decent and the food came out at a good pace. We started with the Burrata salad (€14), which was super refreshing, especially with the balsamic vinaigrette. We also ordered the prosciutto pizza (around €14), which was simple, tasty, and hit the spot. Of course, I had to try the truffle pasta (about €13) -- creamy and comforting just the way I like it. Hubby ordered the seafood linguine (€15), and that was actually a standout -- light, flavorful, and packed with the perfect amount of shrimp. Overall, such a nice spot to enjoy Italian food in Barcelona without breaking the bank. Definitely a pleasant surprise for our anniversary dinner. Happy eats!
