Have eaten here 3 X in the last week. The service is friendly and good though getting the check can take a bit. That I have found is the case in most restaurants in Barcelona. The best pizza I've had in Spain is their Sundried tomato, basil and burrata. Love this place! read more

The restaurant has nice ambiance and good food. But what damped the experience is how some of the workers were very inconsiderate to customers - such as: being very loud when taking amongst themselves on and on about personal issues and the very loud clink clank of dishes when they put the clean ones back onto the shelves was overwhelming for us. We went to this restaurant the first night of our visit to Barcelona. The food was okay, but the server was a somewhat confrontational to a gentleman in our party. That first night, I went upstairs to go to the bathroom and noticed that the atmosphere up there was quite nice, so I made a mental note to return on another night to have dinner upstairs. Several nights later, I returned with three other people and we headed upstairs to try and get a table. To the best of our knowledge, this was a self-seating restaurant. When we got to the top of the stairs, we were approached by an incredibly rude and irritable waitress who proceeded to scold us for having the audacity to come upstairs to ask for a table. She barked at us to go downstairs and request to be seated by the hostess. In fact her words (with a head bob and finger point) were as followed: "Uh...normally when you enter a restaurant...you smile nicely and ask to be seated..." She then turned abruptly and stormed away. We stood there absolutely stunned, our jaws dropped at how unnecessarily rude this waitress was. We then watched as she bent over the wall to yell something down to another employee on the first floor. We then walked downstairs and attempted to talk to the manager (who I think was the one that she yelled down to), she just smiled and talked over us, only repeating "its okay, its okay". She did not listen to a word of what we were saying. We finally gave up and just left the restaurant. We went across the street to The Attic restaurant where we were immediately welcomed with a big smile by the hostess at the front door. Our company trip to Barcelona included about 70 people, all staying across the street at Le Meridian Hotel. Needless to say, we spread the word about the treatment we received at Luzia Restarant and advised all to beware of the rude service. All I can say is BAD BUSINESS. read more

The pizzas are great! We got the Mozzerella and truffle pizza twice!! Great atmosphere and location!

This place is very average for what it is and, after eating here, I am surprised at how crowded it is. We ordered the ham and tomato bread, cheese salad, and the fried artichokes. The food was ok, nothing special, but more expensive than it should be for what you get. read more

Stopped here in a whim for Tapas. The place was bustling. Great ambiance. Everything was made to order, unlike many of the tapas being offered nearby that get heated up from a display case. The fried artichoke was the best surprise. Service was somewhat unorganized but it was busy and they wet friendly. Everything was great and reasonable. Very slow service. We received the peppers and bread which were decent and after waiting 45 minutes we asked about the pizza which was never actually put in. Left disappointed and hungry. There are plenty of other restaurants which would be a better experience. Give one of them a shot. read more

Wanted to love this this restaurant because of its convenience and what seemed like a great menu, however it fell short on all aspects. The actual food was sub par but what upset me most was the customer service. We asked if music could be turned down before we order, but it wasn't so a member of our party had to leave because it was giving her a headache. We we told there was no tap water so we paid over 2 euros for .5 liters of water. When we asked about gluten free bread/ options the waiter seemed irritated. When she came to take our order, she left twice without saying anything to bring food to another table. Another waitress had to finish our order. One member ordered a burger well done, but it arrived still very pink. She sent it back and when it arrived again, not only was it still pink, but the waitress rolled her eyes when she set it down. Even though all members were polite from start to finish, the waitress seemed like we were a hassle and unwanted because of intolerances and preferences. It was grossly overpriced for the food and service we got. read more

I got VIOLENTLY ill after eating here. I had tea for breakfast, and came here for a late lunch after exploring all day (so it was the only thing I ate the entire day), and about 2 hours later I felt my stomach start getting upset. Then had the worst night of my life. I had the Caprese Salad Pizza, and the tomatoes tasted weird when I ate them, but I thought they might have just been way over salted. STAY AWAY. read more

Very good tapas and other meals! Will definitely go back...the potato pancakes w/ tuna sashimi were amazing as was the pasta. Pizza was a bit too cheesy and the club sandwich was a bit too small. Otherwise it was a great fit for our group. Try the white sangria! read more

Located downstairs in the Hotel 1898, where we were staying. Very young, hip attitude. Friendly staff. The food was terrific, original, well presented. The chicken was wonderful. The tapas were excellent. We sat at a window table and enjoyed the passing parade almost as much we enjoyed the food. read more

The restaurant looked promising with a pleasant ambiance and initially polite staff. Unfortunately the food and consequently the service was severely lacking. After some mediocre tapas starters we had a Tortilla and a Camembert salad for our main. The Camembert was breaded and deep-fried within an inch of its life, it came out extremely greasy. The salad, while not unpleasant, was just leaves and a few oily nuts. The Spanish omelette was very undercooked to the point it was inedible slop on a board. We asked for this to be cooked again and it returned hardly any more done. After picking at a small bit of the better done part of the omelette we abandoned it, raw egg and salmonella is never good before flying. The bill came and I asked if the tortilla could be taken off the bill. This was promptly ignored at the bill was brought unamended. I asked for it to be to removed and the waiter was most indignant stating we had tried it so it can not come off the bill. After several awkward minutes arguing about it we paid the full amount. There are many great restaurants in Barcelona, this one is best avoided. read more
