Directly across the street from our Hotel Le Meridian, one would find this upscale trendy eatery where we discovered lunch. Other than the surprising picture on the wall of a NYC Bronx subway and our entertaining waiter the food was good along with the service.

Nice spot for breakfast in las ramblas, right across the street from the Le Meridien hotel. They have a good selection of breakfast options and lots of seating. I wouldn't say the food is anything special (breakfast), but its convenient and a safe option if you are not sure what to eat.

So I've tried this place twice since I've been in Barcelona. The first time I got the pizza which was amazing. Well made with great flavor. The second time I got the pasta. It was good not amazing. The service is good and so is the red sangria.if every visiting I would recommend this place for a good dinner. Good atmosphere and music.

Clean, organic, made to order food! Kind and friendly staff from the open air kitchen to the waitstaff. Great Lattes too. Open on Sundays and great for breakfast, lunch, dinner and desserts. Calm and inviting atmosphere. Music is soft over speakers but don't listen to close, its radio remakes..not so well but I'm sure most will not notice. We ate here several times during our stay because it was so good! Wish we could take it to our village in the states!

Loved this place. Great service and food. We were a group of 12 and the totally accommodated us with a great large table. All the cooking is done out in the open and the ingredients are very fresh. The sangria was excellent.

Happy staff, happy Carafe? Hey it rhymed, what can I say. Staff was beyond sweet, accommodative and helpful. Seems uncommon in Barcelona, but this seemed like a well run establishment and the simple pizzas were very good. Not much else to say other than when you get tired of all the tapas, go here and have a Pizza and some sangria!

The fig jam paired tastefully with the cheese selections. We also enjoyed the fried prawn.

The fig jam paired tastefully with the cheese selections. We also enjoyed the fried prawn. Service was slow and we did not get an explanation of what the different cheeses were but the food was enjoyable.

I stumbled upon Luzia after leaving the beach and doing some late night shopping, and I certainly do not regret it. Upon entering Luzia, I immediately noticed there was a wait due to nearly every table on the first floor being occupied, however, the gentleman host (or manager/owner) was welcoming and encouraged me to stay, so I did. The gentlemen escorted me to the bar and stated the wait should not be that long. I waited at the bar for my table for nearly 45 minutes yet the bartender did not speak nor did she offer me a beverage. Once I was seated at a table, the initial service to place my drink order was extremely slow. However, I remained patient because the waitstaff was clearly busy and the establishment may have been understaffed that particular night. Once our waiter made it to our table, the experience skyrocketed. I do not remember his name but I distinctly recall him stating he was originally from the Dominican Republic. The gentleman was efficient, knowledgeable, and made excellent recommendations. He even helped unload a delivery truck while I was enjoying my entrée. He is truly a great employee, an asset to Luzia, and he is destined for greatness! Pros: Stays open until Midnight, Wonderful selection of offerings, Fresh ingredients, Beautiful ambiance, and Fairly priced Cons: Long wait time, and The service was rather slow.

Nice pizza place. We each ordered a personal pizza and a pitcher of sangria for all of us. Both tasted good and satisfied our appetite. Place is pretty and staff is nice. They have two floors and the place is roomy nice music I. The background. Sorry no pictures of the food we were hungry and for got.

This place is so awesome. When you don't know where to eat, or what you want to eat in s bustling location such as las rambles, this is a go to. It has everything you need from sushi, to Italian to Spanish tapas flare and everything prepared very well. We ordered the pizza, the tuna appetizer and the pimentos de padron which I was addicted to while traveling through Spain. The sangria was also delicious and the wine flows and is cheap. We loved the place so much that we ate there twice while staying in Barca.

The sangria was the only standout of this place for us. The tapas were not anything special but they were good. I'd skip the eggplant dish!

My Greek salad was very authentic and was as good as any salad I had while I lived in Greece. Very fresh vegetables, great Feta and seasoned to perfection. The shrimp scampi under the Tapas menu with garlic was equally good and oh so tasty. The smallish inside restaurant is best described as rustic and a tad warm. Instead I opted for the outside dining area, which has just a few tables but offered a very pleasant ambiance in the small side street this business is located on with low foot traffic and a very nice breeze on the warm day I dined here. The relaxed dining on the outside is definitely the way to go here especially during the summer months. From a negative standpoint, certain aspects of the service were too slow. I was seated pretty quickly upon arrival but I waited a tad bit too long to get my order in. Once ordered though, the food came pretty quickly on a positive note. However, for all intents and purposes the service stopped at that point where I had no follow up and literally had to walk inside the business to get my bill. Overall, the dining experience was still great for me slow service aside as the quality of the food and outdoor ambiance far outweighed the negatives. I would say if you are in a bit of there rush you may want to look elsewhere. However, if you are looking for a relaxing dining experience with great food than this business will be definitely fit the bill!

Ziryab seemed to fit the bill, so we made plans to stop here during our first night in the city. Ziryab is located close to the Gothic Quarter, on side street. It's kind of inconspicuous from the outside, but the interior gives way to a really welcoming space. The restaurant is separated into two main areas, with an earth-tone color scheme that has a rustic, almost cave-like aesthetic. The high ceilings and floor-to-ceiling windows keep the dining room open and spacious. The tapas menu had a good selection, and we decided on several items: pan con tomate, sweet potato rolls, chicken cannelloni, bacon-wrapped figs, croquettes, falafel, and a charcuterie board. All the tapas were great - my favorites were the chicken cannelloni, pan con tomate, and the charcuterie board. The cannelloni especially was a standout - definitely a unique dish, and the chicken was super flavorful. We opted for dessert, and got the feta whip cheesecake - this was great as well. The combination of tang and sweet was a good finisher to our meal. Service was great - everyone was friendly and our dishes were served at a good pace. Overall, I'm glad I tried out Ziryab - the tapas were delicious and atypical of ones you find elsewhere in Barcelona. I would have no qualms returning here for another meal.

We got there right when it was opening and our waitress spoke real good English and I ordered a beer and the black ink paella. There were a lot of good looking dishes available though! If we were here longer, I would have tried their regular paella as well, I liked it because you could order a single serving, which seemed a little rare in Barcelona. The dish came out about fifteen minutes later, which is good for paella, because you know they made it fresh. I heard some places just nuke it and bring it out. It comes out in the cool looking pan that looks like a gold mining pan. It is colored deep black and has a huge prawn in the middle and lots of clams and mussels and calamari. The rice was cooked perfectly and the black squid ink sauce was delectable. Great service and my second beer was a great pairing for a lunch that fills you up perfectly. Both my son and I are very picky about Lebanese food having been spoiled by the excellent Lebanese in our home town Los Angeles, so we ordered with trepidation. The very first must-try dish immediately set our minds at ease: please, do yourselves a favor and order their Fatoush salad. It's done so right, juicy tangy, bursting with flavors and the pita in the salad is made into a curly flower and gives a delicious crunch. We liked the dish of garbanzo and yogurt a bit less, as it was quite heavy and lacked flavor. My son was very pleased with shish tavouk with chicken, and I loved my halloumi dish. The service was slow (as everywhere in Barcelona) but it was efficient, and our Egyptian waiter had good recommendations for everything. He was funny and personable.
