The lady who did my nails were super nice, but unfortunately, the girl who did my friend's SNS nails was not the friendliest. I like the results of my SNS nails, and will be coming back. Went here once to try out a new place because I was close by. Never again. Sloppy pedicure and I ended up getting a fungus on one of my toenails. Paint left around toes, nails cut unevenly, little massage. Not impressed at all. Will never be going back. read more

Used a paid certificate from someone as a gift and they didn't like it. So they did our nails very poorly and were short and rude.

The end result of my visit (pedicure) was fine, but the experience was not good. The salon was not clean and it was very crowded and noisy.

I've been to this nail salon several times over the past two years or so. I'm not generally picky and as a poor GRADUATE STUDENT my visits are not always regular. Today as my mom was in town I decided to treat her to a pedicure and to get a fill in on my own nails that I had gotten done two weeks prior. As many know they offer a 10% discount to students, teachers, and military personnel so this is definitely a draw over other places. I had a horrible experience today as I was the ONLY person in that shop who was asked to prove that they were a student. I was in there for 2+ hours and they freely discounted services for several other students (NO ID shown) but when I went to pay and asked to recieve the student discount not only did the older woman checking me out give me a strange look but then after speaking in another language asked me to show her my id. I went to speak to the woman who seems to be the manager or person in charge and she went from directing everyone to attempting to shield her face and acting as though she was not aware of what was happening. Somehow she had now become a MUTE. Unfortunately, I didn't have my ID on me and they were so busy that it was too much trouble to try and find one of the other workers who perhaps would have vouched for me (but who knows if that would have made a difference). It's not like the people who work here remember the life stories of every single person who gets their nails done but rather they give the benefit of the doubt to those they assume are students. Even if you dont assume that I'm a student what explanation do u have for saying it's a "new policy" that everyone show their ID, yet, me as the only black student in there is the ONLY ONE who has to adhere to it. I have literally never seen them ask ANYONE to show an ID and Ive been here many times. Today, I watched new patrons get the student discount without even asking. I even stopped pulling mine out over a year ago when I was about to pay because I was the only person doing it. I WILL NEVER COME HERE AGAIN AND I WILL ENCOURAGE MY FRIENDS AS WELL TO TAKE THEIR BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. NO NEED TO BE TREATED LIKE CRAP WHEN THERE ARE OTHER OPTIONS! read more

Very disappointed with the quality of the products used. SNS nails began lifting up after 6 days. They use sanding blocks over and over on different clients. I did not see any sanitizing of instruments used. Noticed staffers sitting around in massage chairs on their phones with their feet propped up on the basins. They could have been cleaning and/or organizing stations which looked unkept. Male technician who took care of my daughter, did a very rushed job and she left very disappointed with her nails. When she tried to let him know that she was not happy with the shape of her nails or the look of the polish, he quickly dismissed her pretending not to understand what she was saying. Will never go back again and would not recommend this salon to anyone I know. read more

First visit today and I am freaking out a little bit. Halfway through my pedicure, I noticed that they do not clean the foot baths between customers, I should have left but I didn't. Big mistake... When I got home I ran some hydrogen peroxide over my feet just in case and saw that my big toe had two scrapes on the top frothing from the peroxide. I can only hope that I do not get an infection. On top of that, the manicure was rushed and sloppy. Will not go back and if you do decide to go make sure to ask them to clean the foot bath in front of you. I will update if I have an infection although I am praying that I will not get one. FYI This is the procedure that by law they are supposed to follow.. they did not while I was there. (5) Pedicure equipment cleaning and disinfection procedures to be used for all pedicure equipment that holds water including sinks, bowls, basins, pipe-less, and whirlpool spas are as follows: 3 Revised November 2008 (a) After each client, all pedicure units must be cleaned with a chelating soap or detergent with water to remove all visible debris, then disinfected with an EPA registered hospital-grade bactericidal, fungicidal, virucidal, and pseudomonacidal disinfectant used according to manufacturer's instructions for at least ten (10) minutes. If the pedicure unit has a foot plate, it should be removed and the area beneath it cleaned, rinsed, and wiped dry. read more

I've had 3 or 4 pedicures here and they were always so so, never above average. I used to take my teenage daughter to get her eyebrows waxed. After many times taking her, we had had enough. The woman doing the waxing was terrible. I don't know if it was a language barrier, she didn't know what she was doing or just didn't care. Our last visit consisted of her tearing the skin on my daughter's eyebrows/eyelids on both eyes. The woman also would dig the tweezers into already sensitive skin. I had to almost yell at her to stop, that she was hurting my daughter! My daughter left in tears and they actually wanted me to pay for this service! We will never go there again! I have been to LV Nails twice now, but unfortunately, I after the service I received today, I cannot recommend it and I will not be returning. With classes canceled for the day, a few friends and I decided to go get our nails done. We walked into LV Nails, were seated immediately, but then unfortunately had to wait and soak our feet in cold water for over an hour before finally getting our pedicures. After 45 minutes, one of my friends was so fed up she simply got up and went to another salon. LV Nails was severely understaffed, which is understandable; what is not understandable is not being informed that we would have to wait over an hour before being helped. If my friends and I had known, we would have gone to another salon or come back to LV Nails another time. I am sorry to say that my friends and I were very disappointed with the service at LV Nails, and will not be coming back. read more

I've been going here for a little over a year and I love them! Every employee does a fantastic job and the SNS manicure is the best I've ever had. I get regular pedicures, although this was my first time at this salon. I was thoroughly disappointed with the service, and I will never go back. No one greeted me when I walked in the door; they sent me to a pedicure chair without it being cleaned, and then proceeded to clean the foot pool while I was sitting there- splashing me with water and cleaning solution. Then, I sat for a while.. finally someone lackadaisically came over and didn't say anything to me, just tapped my leg for me to put it on the perch. She didn't massage my feet or legs at all. The nail polish was gummy, and I told the nail tech, but she told me that after two coats it would be better (which we all know is not the case with gummy polish). When I left, no one said anything to me... the customer service was perhaps the worst I have ever encountered. read more

I have been there on other occasions and thought their service to be "fine" although I prefer the LV salon on Alps. Most recently I had a visit which determined not ever returning. Pedicure was not acceptable, polish looks fine, however when she was scrubbing my heels she could have been napping while petting a cat... That was about how much effort she exerted. The gel nail polish manicure which should last 2 weeks was chipping after 2-3 days. I went up there to have them fix the 2 nails that were messed up. Guess what? Two days later, chipped again. I had even suggested that maybe the reason for the chipping was old polish and said I would be agreeable if he wanted to change the color. He said if he changed the color he would have to charge me, which made no sense since I was there for them to fix their mistake. Bottom line, I will let my pocketbook do the talking and not go back. read more

I was not impressed with the pedicure I received here. I made a reservation and showed up on time. I had to wait a few minutes until the rest of the staff showed up en masse. Even though I elected for the $30 spa pedicure, I felt I was rushed through it because a huge line was forming in the waiting area. My toes were painted with one coat of polish only, no base or top coats. For $30 I received a pedicure and manicure at Express Nails on Prince that included base and top coats plus two coats of polish. read more

I have been going to Phuong at LV East side for almost 2 years for SNS and NO other salon compares!!! Phuong herself is fast and always does quality work! My SNS always lasts 4 weeks and I only have to get it filled in because of my nail growth! The very few times my SNS has chipped (I'm pretty rough on my hands), they have gladly fixed it last minute and free of charge! Phuong also gives a one-time discount for each person you refer to her so be sure to tell all of your friends!!! She is the BEST in Athens by far!!!! read more
