I have been going to LVC for a few years now. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. Dr. La is knowledgeable and keeps up with technology and the latest in her field. I recently had an issue with the lenses for my new glasses. The staff quickly identified the problem and ordered new lenses. Within about a week my glasses were fixed and the problem corrected. I understand that sometimes issues occur with product. The question is how someone deals with addressing that issue. LVC really stepped up and handled the issue without hesitation. I'm not originally from Huntington Beach, and I really didn't want to drive back to my hometown to get my annual eye exam so I decided to give this place a try. I'm glad I did! The staff were very nice and friendly. There was barely any wait time. One of the ladies checked my eyes before I saw Dr. La. I was pretty nervous about the air puff and she was very patient with me. Dr. La was very nice and patient and explained everything to me in great detail. Dr. La is the friendliest optometrist you'll ever find! My entire family has been coming here for years, and LVC's staff has always been helpful. Dr. La has always answered any concerns that I've had about my eye care on both a professional and a personal, friendly level. One thing that always bothered me was that the receptionist would sometimes give incorrect information on when things would be ready for pick-up. We live about 20 minutes away, and on some days we would do the drive only to find out that my mom's contact lenses had actually NOT come in yet, even though they told us they were ready. Another minor issue was that my current glasses took 3 weeks to come in. I wouldn't have minded if I was simply told that my glasses would come in 3 weeks, but instead I was told it would be ready in 1 week, and when that time came, I was told it would be ready in the next week, etc. However, Dr. La is an incredible optometrist, and so I will put up with anything for her! read more

I moved from Seattle so am forced to find new service providers for everything. But I am relying on Yelp and this one was right on the money. Great doctor, great staff, love the office and ambiance, and even am wearing contacts for the first time after a lifetime of glasses. I got new glasses too, and I dropped a ton of money since I do not have insurance, but it was money well spent. I have been a patient at LVCO since before Dr La took over the practice from Stein Optometric. The staff is friendly and knowledgable, the office is beautiful and clean and Dr La is wonderful. She is all about preventative eye care, which is very important to me as a Health Coach. I prefer to live a healthy lifestyle and hopefully not chase after health issues with meds. Called on Monday to make an appointment and got in for today. I was so excited to finally go and get better glasses and better service. When I went, I was greeted by 3 lovely ladies. I went into a exam room for a few minor tests that my old eye doctor never even did. It was nice to be in a updated facility. When I went into the exam room and met Dr, it was great! She made me super comfortable and even asked me if I was in school and what I was studying. She really took an interest. When it came time for me to choose frames, the lady helping me was also great. This was my first eye exam in two years. I picked this location because it was closest to where I currently live. If I were ever to move I would still return here for any of my eye care needs. Dr. La and her staff are excellent. All questions were answered with a smile, no matter how silly the question. Kendra at the front desk is awesome. She took my call when i made the appt. and was very patient with me and my questions about insurance and what my insurance covers. Dr. La was very nice and made sure I understood everything that was going on. She even laughed at my jokes, no matter how bad they were. Dr La and LVC Optometry provided me excellent service. I was able to get a same day appointment at which Dr La was prompt (saw me quickly at my appointment time), thorough in performing my exam, obtained my records from my previous optometrist to address observations in my exam relative to glaucoma risk, completely explained her observations and concerns, and answered all my associated questions ( as well as fully explain my VSP insurance benefits). Fortunately, at my follow up appointment the next day, the previous records alleviated her concerns as well as mine. You will be very happy with Dr. La and her friendly /organized staff. I personally get very squeamish about going to the eye doctor, but not here. Her practice is a hidden gem. I had two prescription glasses made after Dr. La nailed my difficult to diagnose prescription. The actual lenses were a notch above since she uses "Crizal." I rarely have to wait more than a week to get an appointment. Dr. La is amazing! She is professional, thorough, and detailed and I always feel comfortable in her care. She never rushes through an appointment and I always feel like I have her sole attention to answer any questions that come up. I have dual insurance and need both contacts and glasses so it's always a pricey annual trip but Kendra and Monica always make sure I'm using my insurance benefits most efficiently. I have been looking for a new optometrist and I have had very bad luck with them in the past few years. I was doing some errands and I noticed the office in the complex I was in. I decided to go in and see if they took my insurance. The front desk receptionist was the sweetest!! She said that they did take my insurance and I asked if they had any later appointments and she said they had one right then. It worked out perfect because I still made it in time to my other appointments. I filled out the paperwork and the nurse took me back to the room. She said that Dr. La would be with me in a minute and no more than 20 seconds after she left Dr. La came in and greeted me right away. I told Dr. La my issues I've been having with my vision and other optometrists and she made sure to focus on every need I had. I normally take a long time during the vision exam and she was so patient with me and went through the steps multiple times with me. In the end we got my prescription perfectly and I had such a wonderful experience with the office staff and Dr. La. They don't try to sell you on things you don't need. I, along with another lady, were both alone and both nurses helped us try on glasses and gave us their opinions on how they looked on us. It was very refreshing to go into an optometrist office and have the staff be so incredibly helpful and kind. Absolutely amazing! I walked in to set up my appointment on Wednesday and got an appointment for the next day at a perfect time. I didn't have to wait long to be seen, they were quick, efficient, and very friendly. The office was clean and put together nicely. Dr. La was amazing as well! She was quick and explained things in great depth. We joked and laughed as well...didn't even feel like a visit. They helped me decide what pair of glasses looked best and would suit me the most- I'm the most indecisive person you'll ever meet. They were closing and still let me take my sweat time making my decision. Finally chose a pair! I was able to put some money down and pay the rest at pick up. It took exactly one week for my glasses to come in. When I went to pick them up it was a very quick and very easy process, my glasses fit perfect and I never even realized how badly I needed glasses!! The whole team is awesome. There are a lot of optometrists who are technically proficient at what they do (though Dr. La is especially conscientious with diabetic patients like me, and happily works with my opthamologist even though he is on a different insurance network). Few can claim the level of personal service and attention of Dr. La and her staff. They are miracle workers - when I foolishly broke my glasses, they managed to fit the lenses in to a completely different set of frames while I waited - and their reminders on when I'm due for a new exam are quite useful.
