This is one of the very few sparkling wine spots in Lodi. Stop in because I been wanting to add more whites to my collection. The Blanc de Blanc and the reserve brut was delicious. I picked up both bottles. This is a small but charming cellar. $15 for tasting but waived with purchase of a bottle in my case I bought two. Yup, this was worth the stop before heading to my main objective of the Golden State Pinball Festival. I hit the wineries before the pinball. This location was my second stop and I really enjoyed the atmosphere and the tasting flight. The hostess was very knowledgeable and even offered a few wine club samples that were previously opened from the day before. I have to say that this should be a stop for everyone going through Lodi as it is a rarity to see a wine producer of sparkling wines. These wines are made in the French - Method Champenoise style, but as you know we can't call it for what it is. The venue feels like a little house complete with a swimming pool that offers tabletop tastings alongside. Also offers picnic tables and a indoor tasting bar. They are open Friday-Sunday from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm. I dropped in and was greeted warmly. read more

We were recommended this spot b/c I LOVE bubbles and it did not disappoint. If you only like reds or whites, you'll be sad b/c they don't offer any here, only bubbles. bubbles. and more bubbles. We didn't know, so hubby was a little disappointed b/c he loves reds, but he also really wanted to bring me here b/c he knows I loooove bubbles. The drive up was cute and it's a house-turned-winery! Karina was friendly and welcoming. We chose to do the sparkling flight and I like how relaxed it felt here. I asked if we could get our flight all at once and she said yes, however we wanted to do it, or if we wanted to do one x one at the bar, we could also. It was so nice outside so we chose to have our flight all at once and she explained each wine. I asked if they sold any food or snacks and she said no but they did have these sweet champagne wafers one could buy. She set up our flights so beautifully on the table and also gave us a sample of the champagne wafer to go with our last 2 wines which paired very nicely. I'm not sure if it's standard w/the tasting or b/c I had asked about it, but it was a nice touch and very tasty. At the end, I did a glass of their demi-sec and it was delicious. Super reasonably priced too. In the backyard, there were 3 couple tables and 1 larger table. there were 2 other couples there, and it was fairly quiet so we could all hear each other's conversations. lol. The atmosphere was relaxing still. They don't sell food or savory snacks to go with your tasting, but Karina said outside food is welcomed, so I think we'll do that next time. We saw some folks with grapes, and a box of crackers (from the store). There's also lovely outside seating in the front of the home under the shaded trees. I look forward to returning! read more

We went Labor Day weekend it was a bit slow . But customer service was good . We did 2 flights and the rep explained all wines and was very knowledgeable . Quick walk around the property it was nice inside . Outside needs a little tlc but nice. I would revisit because the sparkling wines were great . We also got wafers that were amazing . read more

We came here with a group of 5. The host sat us at a table in a separate room. There were probably a total of 20 people in the building doing tastings. Only 1 staff. She apologized and said she normally has time to educate and explain the wines, but we essentially just had the paper and all tastings poured at once. She never came in to check in on us. It was our first time going here. We went with a group of friends. My husband's friend is a member and wanted the rest of us to try out their sparkling wines. So we headed on over to do a little quick wine tasting. It's a a small cute intimate winery. It used to be a house but was converted into a winery. They have an outdoor seating area with tables. They also have tables inside. The only thing I didn't like is, it's small inside so you can hear everyone's conversation. Their wines are pretty good. My husband is not big on sparkling wines but he actually liked theirs. I forget the woman's name who served us but she was very friendly. She gave us a little background story about the winery and the wines. She also gave us a couple of suggestions on where to go next for our little wine tasting adventure. Great ambiance, location and selection of wines from semi sweet to dry sparkling, there is definitely something for everyone. Hidden gem only reason why I came is for the bubbles wanted something different then wine . I wanted sparkling champagne and they did not disappoint. Would recommend !!! Karina our host was knowledgeable,friendly advised us to try the reserved and the sparkling tasting so we can taste them all she even provided us with a bonus tasting of their Zinfandel rose' which was my favorite! Interesting to see a barbera that was sparkling very dry but not something I'd prefer. The atmosphere is so chill would love to come back with my girlfriends or couples but it was also family/pet friendly! In the past we've loved this place (and, really still do). Unfortunately today's experience was a disappointment. A group of us (12) came for a tasting. We all bought bottles. The tasting menu says the $15 tasting fee is waived with a purchase. When we all went up to pay, they then told us that since we were a party of more than 7, it wouldn't be waived. Julie who runs the tasting room is so warm and welcoming, and has been part of this winery's journey since the early days so she can share a lot of history. She even brought out Gouda, their black fluffy winery kitty! We did a regular and a reserve tasting so we could try everything. The Reserve tasting in particular was really fun, with very interesting takes on sparkling wines. Prices for these wines at this quality are insanely low - we took home 3 bottles of the Grand Cuvee (which was our favorite). I would consider this a "can't miss" winery stop in Lodi! On this hot Spring day, the wifey & I decided to go wine tasting. On this day we (she) decided on LVVR Sparkling Cellars. This was my 1st time tasting at a sparkling winery. The environment was very charming. A 1970s residence with wood walls, brick fireplace, orange velvet chairs, & even a lava lamp. The property is full of photo friendly spaces (for you millennials ). The server Karina was awesome! She was very interactive, knowledgeable, & had a above average knowledge of Champagne, France. We tried both tasting menus & shared them. Cool spot to go and try sparkling wine. We tried all five of their selection and the host was very knowledgeable on the sparkling wine process. The tasting fee was $5 and the pits were nice and hearty. The tasting room is very quaint and not ideal for large groups. They do however have outdoor seating with shade available as well. LVVR Sparkling Cellars surprised me in many ways. I found them searching the area for new wineries, and their very unique tasting room is part of the new winery complex on Locke Road just outside of Lockeford. LVVR is behind the main building on the far right side as exiting the main building. The tasting room is built in the old boiler room of the former industrial facility. LVVR cut away the boiler tubes and installed some great upgrades for a highly unique setting to sample their wine. The room is rather small and dark which may be an issue for some, and the room can also get quickly packed. On my visit, the bar was packed, but the staff were great in walking over to me for a generous tasting. The winery specializes in sparkling wine with true méthode champenoise styles. I was a big fan of the standard brut with a delicate flavor and great balance similar to other premium California sparking wines. LVVR also has sweeter styles including rose and demi-sec which are also good. It would be easy to give LVVR five stars for the facility, but they back it up with excellent sparking wine. Now is the time to get on the bandwagon before everyone is raving about LVVR. This is a truly great find in an unlikely spot with an excellent combination of great wine and an awesome location. We were on day 2 of wine and chocolate. This is an event that I have done photography for, as well as being a photographer for a few other vintners, and shoot the grape festival almost every year. Basically, if you see a banner for a big wine event, those are most likely my photos. I'm also covered in tattoos. I went in to taste here waited for 15 minutes while they entertained some older guests, then when I got to taste, the girl gave me one pour, told me to move aside, then attended to another group that just showed up. She subsequently ignored after that. My money and time are just as precious as the older group of 5, I waited my time, for a single pour, and was told to move out of the way. I guess just dress without any tattoos showing and you are fine. I will absolutely never go there again, nor recommend it to anyone. read more

For the most part my husband and I have been happy with the LLVR Champagnes. Their champagne pick up events are fun, with food and music. We have always had a good time. However, we have had a few issues with this company. For example, a bottle of theirs leaked in our wine rack. In addition, their costumer service needs improvement- e.g. it has taken them on average several weeks to respond to simple questions, and their responses are less than ideal such as charging us $25 for shipment of products when no such charge was indicated prior to signing up for their champagne club. We really enjoy supporting local and new businesses, and we hope this is a growing pains issue. read more

LVVR is a hidden gem on the outskirts of Lodi in a repurposed industrial park. It has a lovely little tasting room that really gives you the feeling of a wine cellar. It also has an outdoor patio where you can enjoy a picnic lunch. Eric, our pourer, was friendly, engaging and funny. The best part is the champagne which is created in the traditional methode champenoise and is fabulous. We LOVED the méthode champenoise sparkling wines. We tried all of them- loved them all. The bottle fermentation adds a very special taste to these. They have a clean, crisp, delicious taste that cheap sparkling wines can't duplicate. For such marvelous sparkling wines the prices were very reasonable- 21 dollars out the door for a bottle! The tasting room is fascinating- the roof is part of an old boiler. And the young man who runs the place is very knowledgeable and friendly. I highly recommend you stop here if you visit Lodi. Tastings were 5 dollars (I think) but you could take them off if you bought a bottle- and you WILL want to buy at least one. This large building as a restaurant in front, and then several small wineries (and a cider maker) in the rest of the complex. It's an interesting place. All sparkling wines are made on site in the traditional method (methode champenoise), which is a much more labor intensive and hands-on process and the result is some delicious and refreshing sparkling wines. Julia and Julie in the tasting room are amazing. They are knowledgable, helpful and friendly. Eric, the winemaker is one of the most dedicated and hardworking people that I have ever met. If you're lucky enough to be there at the right time, he may give you a mini tour of his facility, which is really interesting. The tasting room is really unique.
