Wine and Bubbles baby! [Acampo CA] Our party of 10 had a scheduled visit at 2:00p. We reserved a dome that can only fit 6 people max at any time. The rest of us made ourselves comfortable in the tasting room. Except for me, our group enjoyed the wine station tasting which was a state-of-the-art, intelligent, wine dispensing and preservation system. It's the first of a kind I've ever seen which was very cool. Some people might have different opinions about this set up, I get that but this gave the guests the freedom to explore wine according to their palate preferences and doesn't waste a drop. Each were given a card that would track each person's tab. Self pour winery in Lodi. This was my first time visiting and the experience of using a card for self-serve wine tastings was interesting and enjoyable. The machines show the options of pour sizes and prices you can choose for each wine, and the bottles are right below in case you want to buy them or see the alcohol content on the label etc. The machine has a red light when it needs a new bottle. There's a spout that you should fully cover with your glass before pressing the start button in order to prevent a mess when the wine comes out. The tasting room is a large industrial space with plenty of comfortable sofa seating. On a hot day, the AC is on blast and nice to have. However, they had a lot of flies so that was slightly annoying. read more

Went here with a group of 5. The staff were so helpful and hospitable. They have wines that are self-serving, meaning that you get a card assigned to you, select how large of a pour you want, and voila...you're set. The nice part about this is: it's fun, you control the pour amount, and you don't have to wait for others if you were all tasting at the same time. I highly recommend the Vermentino, Sauvignon Blanc (there's is actually my favorite in the entire Lodi AVA), and the 2019 Old Vine Zin. The dessert wine is also delicious and not overly sweet. What a WONDERFUL experience my sisters and I had. It was a birthday celebration for one of us. Since she booked the visit, we were so happy with the "Polar Lounge"! To have all expectations met and THEN some was beyond delightful. Right down to the Bluetooth availability so we had "our music" during the time spent. Our server was beyond helpful. He brought each of us the wines we wanted to sample and one of the cheeses we could just NOT get cut to sample and bless his heart he even took care of that for us. The wines were fabulous and all four of us went home with some of what we sampled. We drove up here yesterday because I had heard good things about the wine. The wine itself isn't the problem. It's the ridiculous dispensing machine. Very impersonal. The young women working there were very nice, but they obviously knew next to nothing about wine. All they have to do is give you the card to stick into the machine. One of the stations wouldn't work so she had to come over and reset it twice. I like to hear about the wine, to interact with someone who knows something about wine. It's also fun to interact with other patrons. None of this occurs in front of a machine! I did purchase a bottle of Sauvignon Blanc. All wineries waive the tasting fee if you a purchase is made. My husband and I came here for the holiday bizarre and had a great time. I actually loved the wine tasting. The machines are self service and the staff were great. There were so many vendors with items to purchase and we ended up getting the 3 pack of jam. I had so much fun tasting we ended up leaving with 3 bottles of wine. Different experience for sure but a great one! We enjoyed the opportunity to try what we wanted off of the selection they had and pay a small fee for doing so before purchasing. They provide a list of the wines, around 20 or so, and their notes but the two gals who were working also offered great suggestions depending on our preference. It could be pricy if you decide to taste many since the fees range from $2-$5 and they don't waive anything so after a few tastings, I think 8-9, and purchased 3 bottles to take home, the bill was $155ish which is what we typically pay anyway at other places. We did have a reservation for the Polar lounge but decided to taste in the taste room....only because it was chilly outside and the tasting room was warm, inviting, and we wanted the ladies input on what to try so all in all, we had a wonderful experience because they really have great wine, inviting atmosphere, and superb customer service! Had such an amazing experience at Peltier! I planned a whole wine tasting experience in Lodi for my Dad's 70th birthday. We got a party bus and planned to go to three different wineries. Peliter was our second stop and from the beginning they were extremely accommodating! We had a large group of 28ish people and we reserved it over two weeks in advance. Nina was amazing and helped me work out all the details. We decided to do $15 preloaded cards and it worked out perfectly. We arrived and were met with smiling faces from the staff and they helped us throughout our time there. They even gave everyone a complimentary glass of champagne! Such great and friendly service! The weather was not great, but it actually worked in our favor because we had the whole space to ourselves, it really made us feel like we were getting the presidential treatment! This was by far everyone's favorite spot. People in our group even added more money to their card and bought bottles. The wine dispensers were so fun and felt perfect for a large group. Unfortunately we had to move to last stop at Block 21 and we had the complete opposite experience and it left us wishing we stayed at Peltier! I hate writing bad reviews for local businesses but this one is definitely warranted. Stopped here after meeting up with some friends who wanted to try a few of the local wineries around here. This was our 2nd stop and it was so disappointing, especially after a great experience at our first winery. Now don't get me wrong, I've had their wines before and that wasn't really the issue is the wine tasting experience that was very disappointing. I also want to say it was not anything to do with the staff, they were VERY NICE and helpful. It was the stupid wine dispensing machines that were the problem. It was so impersonal and PRICEY! I could not believe what they were charging, they were definitely making us pay for these machines because the prices were ridiculous for the little pours you got. Now don't get me wrong, I've used these machines before while visiting my friend in Boise where they have wine bars with just these machines but that is not what I go to a winery to do a tasting for, it's all about the experience and this place is lacking in the experience. Also, my friend ordered a red wine that was in the same machine as a white wine so his wine was cold, it was very weird. We finished our glasses, returned our cards, paid, and left. Well we finally had a chance to experience Lodi wine tasting via a Yelp Elite event. This region is not as recognized as the other NorCal wine making areas but I can say I've been a fan of Lodi vinos sold in Sactown wine shops. This winery is located in Acampo and features a chill (literally and metaphorically) 3yr old tasting room. We were given a tour by the Peltier management with resident wine maker Susy headlining this informative excursion. First came the Unoaked Chardonnay paired with tasty potato chips, second was the Rose of Pinot Noir paired with orzo pasta salad, third was the 2017 Cabernet Sauvingon which was extracted from a French oak barrel using a wine thief (learned a new word), fourth was the Triomphe premium Red Blend (99pts CA State Fair) paired with sliders and last was the Rose blend kegger (yes it was served like draft beer). As I am partial to reds, I took home the Red Blend. The tour through the fermentation tanks, the worm farm and the trivia game added to the fun and dare I say educational day that this was. read more

Our sommelier Kevin was great. Came here last weekend for a tasting and we had a fun time here at Peltier. The wine we tasted where pretty good no Complaints on the wine at all. I forgot what we picked up here because we bought bottles from other place the same day and I'm to lazy to go look though all my bottles for it but we did purchase wine here. It's nice and cool inside and the tasing room it self is a good size. The staff here are super friendly which Made the tasting Experience more enjoyable. Lovely tasting room, good wine but being in the industry I have never been denied a comp tasting, especially when my wine rep had set everything up for us. The staffs and owners were very informative and well versed. 5 Wines were available for tasting and I was impressed with the Rose. My husband and I went here for the Yelp Elite event and enjoyed it very much! The winery is located in Acampo, surrounded by mid sized to large vineyards. They have a cozy seating area right outside the tasting room. We tasted four different wines; Chardonnay, Rose, Cabernet Sauvignon and a red blend! They also had a small bites tasting menu with all their wines, Potato chips with the Chardonnay( who knew potato chips went so well with wine!), an orzo pasta salad with the Rose Pinot Noir( best pasta salad I've had!), sliders with the Cab( I didn't taste them as they had meat) and brownies with the Triomphe red blend( the brownies were baked with the wine and tasted absolutely lovely!) I loved all the wines but being a white wine person I was more inclined towards the white and rose! We took a tour of the wine tanks and also their worm farm. Peltier is a sustainable winery and is very conscious about their impact on the environment. Overall, had a fun day and tasted some great wines and got home a bottle of Rose! read more

I had previously heard about how great the Lodi scene is and have grown tired of how commercialized the Napa scene has become. Perrier Winery and Vineyards is evidence of the strong wine community and wine quality in Lodi! I came here for the Yelp event and was treated to an excellent tour and complimentary tastings and food samples; however, it's easy to see that the family that owns this vineyard is truly passionate about what they do and strive to give everyone a personalized and welcoming experience to Lodi and their vineyard. Their wines are very reasonably priced, at ~$21/bottle or less. This is a quick half hour drive from our Midtown apartment and the next time we are planning a vineyard trip, it will definitely be to wine hop, starting at Peltier!!! read more

I'm not exactly a wine connoisseur, as a matter of fact this was my first visit to any winery. I went hoping to learn more about the fine art of wine making and the many different types that exist. I walked away with a wealth of knowledge and a bottle of some really good chardonnay and rosé. Both are very good when served mildy chilled! Goes down smooth and has good notes in the after taste. I'll have to go back again soon for more. As for the property itself, its super clean, well organized and quite beautiful. Plenty of parking. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, nice little lounge area makes you feel welcome. Before you think about taking a trip up to Sonoma, try a local winery like this one. Came here for a Yelp Elite event. I knew that there were wineries in the Lodi area but never thought about trying them out. I'm super glad that this event happened and that I made it on the guest list to attend because after this event, for sure I'll be back to visit other wineries and this one again. The staff were super nice and so patiently explained things to us. They were excited to share with us their story and tell us about their wines. Their energetic positivism made this experience super fun and educational. Which mean they weren't boring at all (some places are from my past experiences). We got a tour of the facility and they really encouraged us to ask questions. I was really impressed that they did their research and invested where they needed to make this winery a success (going to Europe to look at barrels and checking out the wineries over there), no wonder why they've received such high scores from Wine Enthusiast. We got to taste a handful of the wines. One of them was the Rosé which I thought I would never like Rosé because they were always too sweet for me. This one, wow, it was so smooth and not sweet at all (or not too sweet). And so yes, I bought a bottle (now that I think of it, should have bought two, darn!). We also got to taste wine from a barrel too!!! Cabernet that is. Maybe I'll come back when that wine is released because it tasted pretty good in the barrel already so I can only imagine how it'll taste like a few months or year! The tasting room was very cold but I do get cold easily so for someone else, it might be the perfect temperature for them. The tasting room tables are made out of wood and the room was nicely decorated. Seating was either couch or metal stool. It feels really homely even though the sides are sheet metal so you don't really feel like you're at a winery. There's a seating area outside that makes you feel as though you're out on a farm (not bad if you're trying to get away from the city noise). The restrooms are located outside near the seating area. There are two stalls. The restroom is cutely decorated with a theme of modern country style. No air-conditioning in the restrooms. What I also liked is that this winery is environmentally conscious. They have a bloodworm farm that basically cleans the water for them and they reuse it to water the vineyards. How cool is that!! read more

I came here for a yelp event for wine tasting and the service was phenomenal. We had five tastings total and one was straight from the barrel. My fave was the unoaked Chardonnay. I was pleased with the tour. The tasting room was spacious, cool, and nicely decorated. They also have very clean bathrooms outside in a shed-like building. There's a few tables and chairs outside with umbrellas for shade and lounge/sectional couches with cornhole games to enjoy. I like the sustainability of the facility with the use of worm farm casting for fertilizer and treating/cleaning the water. I used to really love this winery until they changed the way of wine testing. Instead of cheerful and knowledgeable representatives you now have to use automatic wine dispensers to get a quarter, a half or a full glass. And it's pretty expensive for their top tier wines. During my last visit a wine dispenser attendant (can't find a better definition) gave me a card to use in the machines and a list of wines with descriptions. It was so impersonal. Reminded me getting coffee from a machine in some airports. This is not why I go wine tasting. It's about experience, not just drinking a half glass of wine for $7. You can have a traditional wine tasting but it would cost you $30 per person and it's not free for members. read more

I came here with family members as they had a membership with this winery which gave us free wine tastings! This is one of the smallest wineries I've been to in comparison to others I've been to in Napa Valley so there wasn't much to see. The tasting room was really cold as I believe it's also where they store all the processed wines so it's best to bring a jacket. I was disappointed to know that they do not offer any cheese pairings/charcuterie to pair with their wines. I feel that would have made the experience a lot better than drinking wine with pretzels. Peltier winery is easy to get to and right off the freeway on Peltier road via 99. There are a lot of parking spaces to accommodate customers. Looks and feel of this place are modern with clean lines- they did a little remodeling with new patio furniture and landscape and changed the inside of their tasting room. Their bathrooms are outside but they're clean and cute. I have to say their wines are very decent and have enjoyed tasting here, but when I returned recently, they changed their process in tasting. The staff now gives you a credit card for choosing wines out of temperature controlled glass co2 dispensers and you use the credit card to pick if you want a taste, a half glass, or a glass of wine. Wines are separated by lower tier, high tier wines by white and red wines etc. I find that 4.50 for a 1 oz taste of wine is a bit expensive. 1/2 glass was 4.50 and a glass was about 7-more dollars depending on the varietal. It's a cool system and their wines stay fresh, but it can wear out your wallet. It's still a nice vibe and a nice place to hang out and maybe grab a glass of wine and sit outside though. There was no one to really talk about the wines though- it was a bit impersonal if you're looking for someone to guide you through the wines... but I'm sure one of the staff would go through the wines with you if you asked. It's a definite new concept for Lodi tasting. I probably wouldn't go back but still I'm glad I stayed and gave it a try. Have fun! read more

The wine is great and the people there were wonderful and friendly. What was really disappointing was the wine dispensing machines. You pay for each one ounce of wine that you want and some were really pricey. I think it would be better if you had a flat fee and gave an option of whatever 5-6 wines you wanted. And even have an open bottle for an extra tasting (to sell more wine). I won't buy a bottle of wine if I can't taste it. The other disappointing thing is that I am industry and most places will comp our tastings (up to 4 people sometimes) with a nice discount for bottle sales. I left there purchasing just one bottle when I could have easily purchased a case. It used to be that tastings were so that you could sell more bottles. I didn't want to spend a fortune to taste several wines and then purchase the bottles. read more

Absolutely one of the best tasting winery here in California. Every single note from the elements of a perfect glass of wine can be tasted in each sip. This winery even go to the greater extent of making sure the temperature of each type of wine is properly adjusted based on the wine you're drinking whether is a red wine or a chilled Pinot Noir . The sensation of a perfectly balanced and good tasting wine exists here and every sip takes over your entire tongue palette immediately. It's amazing! My absolute favorites was their reserved barrel aged wine and UnOaked Chardonnay. Both wine were incredibly flavorful, smells of aroma of a perfect balance wine existed in every glass, and it made me truly happy as I sip on it.. until I got to the bottom of my empty glass that is. I just wanted more and more. To be honest, I loved every type of wine they had to offer at this winery. Another wine I liked was the Rose of Pinot Noir. It was light but packed with a welcoming aroma, tasty note, very enjoyable, and reminded me of a perfect summer day as I sip on it. On top of all the wines, they also included pairing as well with food items that was specially selected to enhance the test of each wine they had to offer. The location of Peltier Winery and Vineyards is beautifully located on prime real estate and is maintained to the highest degree. If you like machinery, check out their John Deere tractor located just right outside their wine tasting room. This winery does not hold back on investing in the best technology, and farming equipments because they aimed for the highest quality of wine you can currently get on the market. To take this to the next level, this winery is so huge they have a sustainable farm, and even harvest their own worms to ensure that the grapes they're producing are to the highest degree of supreme quality. On top of that, they even have a wine that was featured at The Kitchen Restaurant, a Michelin star restaurant. Thank you Peltier for the amazing tour and fun wine tasting! First off, I want to give a special shoutout to the Schautz family and Alex for providing us this opportunity to partake in the wine tasting. We had 6 wines during this tasting. We started off with the onoaked chardonnay which is perfect for individuals that are not attracted to the usual oaked tasting chardonnays. We recommend that you pair this with original potato chips such as lays as it blended quite well together if I say so myself. The second was the Rose Pinot Noir which offered a delightful crisp and was highly refreshing. This goes well with pasta salad! I like the Rose Pinkt Noir out of all of the 6 wines we had. We then tried a Cabernet that isnt bottled until 6-8 months later! Now that is the one we want to come back for!! Fourth was another Cabernet and the last one was Triomphe which was one of their most popular wines! We paired the triomphe with brownies! My friend liked it but Im not a friend of reds but he enjoyed it! His overall favorite was the 2016 cabernet which we bought a bottle of! Last wine we tried was a dessert Rose but i still preferred the first Rose we had! This winery does not have food pairings with their wine tasting but they do allow you to bring in your own food! Sooo knowing that, come prepared with knowing what wines you want to taste and potential food to bring to pair it with! It's a small winery where touring the place can be completed in abojt 10 minutes. They are proud of their sustainability and they use redworms to filter their waters and if youre lucky, you can have a tour of the redworm farm and see some of it in action! Overall, the family that owned this winery was incredbly welcoming and knowledgable. They made sure everyone was enjoying themselves and had convos with everyone!
