I came to this place twice and I love how they handle customer service and support. The first time I came to this store I was hoping that they can fix the camera on my phone and this was the second store of the day and the first store was more focused on a down payment than taking the time to figure out what was going on with my phone. I came across Geek Shop and decided to give them a try. Stan was really nice and patient with me since I was annoyed with personal reasons. He told me before a down payment he would like to open the phone and see if the issue is fixable before anything so give him 15 to 20 mins. I was taken back because most places ask for a down payment before even knowing if the issue is fixable. Unfortunately my camera couldn't be fixed which understandably is fine. He also gave me some phone advice since I had my phone for 4 years now love it. The second visit I met Tim at the store and he was really nice as well and knew what he was doing. My phone fell and the screen was black and I wanted to know how much it would be the repair of a phone screen and before thing he told me the two prices by quality of screen but before anything he believes probably the fall disconnected a wire from the screen and to give him 5 to15 mins. I stepped out and came back in 25 mins and it was back to normal as he detected a wire was detached, and he fixed it with no problem. I love this place and will definitely come back to this place because they are very trustworthy with customer's tech valuable.

So it's been quite a while since I've needed to pay a visit to the Smart Addiction shop and now…read morethey are in a different location than those first times that I needed their help. Recently I miscalculated my stride on some steps and came crashing down with my mobile in my hand and while I wasn't injured, my phones corner glass was smashed. I was mad for the most part since the phone is only five months old and didn't have insurance on it. Before you chide me about that, I should mention that I've never so much as scratched a phone screen in the 25 or so years of using these devices. End of streak. So anyway after being scolded by Verizon, I headed to the Smart Addiction store which is also known as "iFixit New York, Bay Ridge" location to assess the damage and the cost to repair. Sadly, the screen for this particular model was not in stock and would need to be ordered. I have a Google Pixel 9 Pro XL since I rather like a large phone based on all the web and social media stuff I do. The other downside would be the cost of $300 to replace and repair this broken screen. They said the Google phones are costly repairs so the part was ordered and I waited a few days. Once it was in the shop they took my device for a few hours and all was good as new. The staff is friendly but as technicians they are more interested in getting the job done efficiently for the customer. I told them the exact happening that got the breakage for them to be aware in case such actions lead to other issues. It's always best to be honest with the technicians. If you spill something on a laptop, let them know, if you drop your phone out a window, let them know etc. All in all I am glad that they are here and I hope that its a while before I have to come in there again since I don't like breaking things. Another good option at this location in Bay Ridge is that they have one of those Go Lockers so you can direct Amazon, FedEx and more to so you don't miss a delivery while you are at work. So after 2 weeks of being told the next day I finally called back to ask for a refund and he said he had cancelled the order, but didn't refund me or bother to let me know that he had cancelled the order. This is probably the worst customer service I have ever received and I never write yelp reviews but I feel like people should be warned about business' like this so that they don't have to go through the same experience. To say the least, I would not recommend that anyone use Lenny Repair Shop or Balloon World More or whatever the name actually is.
