I am sitting in my car during the entire process Watching and listening. I've been here for an hour. Now I am watching 3 of the techs all try to change my break light. They seem to be having a hard time figuring out how to get the cover off, and i am pretty sure have broken something the way they're all talking- guess I will find out. Side note- the entire time I've been here one tech has done nothing but talk about how he loves "the hoes" that come to get their oil changed, he doesn't even seem to be working. He also proceeded to smoke weed by the bays. It doesn't seem like anyone takes their job very seriously here.

I observed the tech through the observation window having a hard time taking the oil filter top off (he was struggling quite a bit when I observed him banging 2 metal bars together in an attempt to open or remove the oil lid). Later he came and got me and said that I had a little transmission leak. 20 mins later another Tech came to me and asked if I had a mechanic because I had a bad transmission leak. Prior to me coming on that day to get my oil changed I did not make any leaks at all coming from my vehicle. There was evidence of oil still in my car but no leaks whatsoever. I immediately took my car to the mechanic and told him what "Jiffy Lube" had said. The mechanic discovered that there was no transmission leak, and the leak was coming from a crack in the "oil housing unit" which was caused by over twerking the oil filter. Now I am beginning to leave oil marks where I park and all the oil that I just got is currently out of my vehicle. They have been giving me the run around since then. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE UNLESS YOU WANT AN OIL LEAK WHEN YOU LEAVE!!!

Buyer Beware Based…read moreon my experience, get a second opinion before authorizing any repairs at any Mavis location. What happened (as I experienced it): I went to a Mavis Tires in Union NJ. I was told my front brakes needed immediate replacement and agreed to the recommended service. After the repair, I l remembered that a Nissan dealership had inspected the vehicle twice the day before and a week prior. Checked Nissan's reports when I got home. Nissan's reports indicated the brakes were within normal operating limits with no safety concerns. My perspective: Based on the information I received from different inspections, I believe the repair may not have been necessary. In general, I would encourage others to consider getting a second opinion when repairs are described as urgent or not going to a Mavis at all. I will not return to a Mavis at all for any service!

Called this service center on New Years Eve to see if they would take us for a car inspection…read more Picked up the phone right away asked a few questions and took us right away since we were in the neighborhood. As soon aa we arrived to the location they were waiting for us outside and took our car in right away! They said they were closing soon and 15 minutes before they closed they still took our car for an inspection! The price was so reasonable and the turn around was very quick! HIGHLY RECOMMEND Kevin was amazing!

They told me my brakes failed inspection, and that on top of the $79 for the inspection itself it would cost me $450+ for brakes if I wanted to pass. I told them I'd take it to my mechanic, and then still had to pay them the $79 for the failed inspection. Took my car to my mechanic who I've worked with for many years and who I trust, and he said that the rear brakes are wearing a bit, but that they pass inspection and he thinks I should be fine driving on them for a while longer. All to say, the Jiffy Lube people are all pleasant, but I'm pretty sure it's a racket.

He informed me to get an electrician to handle that part..., only to find out they changed more to fix that issue, than what he quoted me to replace the arm rocker. I tried reaching out to him, but to no avail.. He basically ghosted me. I just found out he did something similar to 2 other clients, and they met him on Yelp. I've been sending him messages since the job was done last Friday 11/28/2025. He likes to be paid before performing the job. Please be aware!!!!

On the day I left it, the guy told me they had only one tech so I figured it'd be done the next day. Nope! They kept it for FOUR days without updates.
