I find them not safe I've had issues after issues with lyft taking me to the wrong address to dumping me in the middle of know where to me being on a cane getting dropped off in the cold me catching a cold now they have the nerve to want you to sign a agreement not to take them to court they have put me through hell now when I get in a Lyft and they're not taking the normal route I'm use too them taking to get to my doctors appointment I be ready to jump out when they stop. But I don't I just look at my surrounding pick out a landmark so I can have proof that I was taken way off the mark. I still haven't gotten over the last bad ride I was in when the driver said I made a racist comment when I didn't she was the cause of them terminated my rides. Then when they found out the truth they reinstated my rides but now they want me to sign a agreement when I think they should pay for the trauma their drivers has caused in my life I'm having even more trouble sleeping. Lyft is price gouging I checked a ride 1 mile away. It was 13.02 15 seconds later it was 29.57. Also went to the casino 3miles away. It was 18.79. 1 min later it was 67.78 dollars. This is criminal activity why isn't anyone doing anything about this. read more

The last time I took Lyft in Oklahoma City, both times it was a fiasco. I was going too and from the airport before and after a vacation. On the way there, is 33°. And 3:15 am. There app tells me my driver is less than a mile away. I create the dogs and head outside (don't worry, I had a dog sitter coming later in the day). The Lyft driver has summertime else with him OFF THE CLOCK so I end up standing outside and freezing for 10 minutes. I had my luggage out there so what was I to do? Coming back there is snow on the ground and the car smelled like someone had been smoking. A woman at the airport was handicapped and her Lyft driver wouldn't get out of his car to help her. Don't trust sooner ride to schedule trips through Lyft or Uber all those freaking drivers keep doing is not accepting sooner rides request and keep cancelling on us. Missed my appointment for my consultation for my hiatal hernia at Mercy hospital general surgery for today. Had to call to reschedule until August 3rd. Sooner rides contracts with Uber and Lyft are useless in my book... Can't rely on them to do anything. Iv had too reschedule through out the last few months on different medical treatments due to this same problem. read more

Smooth, excellent drivers, perfect navigation straight to where you're going. Clean nice modern cars, inexpensive, fast, and safe. You can see what your ride will cost in advance and wait until the ride is at a price you are happy with. If you can wait, the prices get cheaper. All of the drivers we have had have been really nice, interesting people, like a friend giving you a ride. A great backup plan for when your car doesn't start, you have medical tests or you can't drive for any reason. read more

Imagine being in a state that you have never been in before and open your Lyft app to get a car to take you to your hotel. You get notified that a driver named John is on his way. Something in your gut looking at his picture tells you that something is not right. You text your mom to tell her to be on the phone with you when your ride gets there and you send the confirmation to her in case something happens to you. The driver gets there, you check his license plate to make sure it's your driver, you smile and say hello, but John doesn't look at you and says nothing. John puts your suitcases in the trunk, you open the sliding door to the van and get in. You call your mom and start having a conversation then you realize that the road you are on is some kind of back road and you are not near a freeway or a main street, you realize this isnt right. You start to panic and say, "sir, where are you going?" and you get no response. You ask again and still no response. You yell at him to stop the car, stop the car, and he ignores you and keeps driving. This entire time your mom is on the phone with you and is worried and you tell her that you are going to jump out of the car because he won't stop and she needs to call the police. You grab your backpack, try opening the sliding door and you cant open it. You scream at John to open the unlock the door and your mother is calling the police. You finally get the door open and as you start to jump out John grabs your arm. John shows you his phone and motions that he his deaf and doesnt speak. John shows the map on his phone and points that he is taking you to your destination. You are scared, you think you are being kidnapped and about to be murdered. Is John truly deaf and mute or is he using this as an excuse because he knew you were a fighter and you told your mother to call the police? Luckily, being in the phone with your mother got you through whatever this could have been and you got to your hotel. This was me two days ago and I can honestly say that this was one of the most traumatic experiences that I have ever been through. I have since changed hotels and needless to say, I had to take an Uber to the new hotel. My Uber driver happened to have picked me up in the same kind of mini van and it was difficult to get myself to get in. I explained what happened to the driver. He was very understanding and kind. I called Lyft that same day and I was assured an investigation would take place. The customer service rep would not give me his name and direct number and that is when I knew this would not be taken seriously. I have since sent several emails asking for information, and although I have received three return emails they have not once answered any questions even though they sign off, please let us know if you have any questions. I have asked if they employ deaf and mute drivers and the response I received was that you receive a notification when your driver is deaf. Well guess what Lyft, I did NOT get that notification. So I have demanded to be told whether or not this man is truly deaf and mute. If he is then they should have at least smile and have something in place to let passengers know. If he is not, then this man was going to murder me, Lyft!!!! Do you not see that this is a serious problem?! Why will you not respond to my question? Are you scared of a lawsuit? You should be if you do not contact me immediately! read more

Charged me $5 when it was your driver that no-showed and then support is unreachable. I wish I could give zero stars. I ordered a Lyft for 10pm pickup at the amtrack station and the driver showed up at the completely wrong parking lot. I've got luggage, kids and a long drive ahead. There's cabs sitting there waiting to go, so I take one and immediately try to cancel our Lyft using the app. Five times I tried cancelling that ride, but the app kept timing out. The Lyft driver tried calling but I didn't answer because I was dealing with my taxi driver. A few minutes later I get a message that I will be charged $5 for non-cancellation. I tried using support and explaining my problem through your app, but after typing it all out it forwarded me to a support page and everything was lost. Your app needs major help and your support has been non-existant. Up until this moment I was preaching about how great you are to anyone who would listen. I will be giving Uber another try from now on. read more

Great friendly drivers! Cheaper than taking a cab! Nicer and cleaner too!

Some riders using the ride share services, are such tight wads, I mean they sign up and are rewarded up to a $1000.00 in free rides from the start. You think some of those riders could add a tip for their drivers good services given they are not even paying for the tip, or perhaps say something positive in the review section. Looking at this scenario from the drivers point of view; here is a typical driver expense up to $300.00 plus a month car payments, insurance, fuel and Cell phone charges for data without any re-reimbursement from Lyft. Sometimes there are even pike fees the driver paid to come get you. A rider requests a ride, the driver drives 5 to 8 miles to pick up the rider, burning up fuel and phone data, rider doesn't come to the car when driver arrives and delays getting in the car for more than five minutes, driver calls rider and rider ignores call driver starts ride while continuing to wait. Rider incurs an extra charge of just ($.20 a minute). Is 20 cents going to break the riders bank? After the rider receives his fare charge he, she complains to Lyft support about the extra charge on his bill. That is so petty! Lyft contacts driver and rakes driver over the coals for starting ride early. Riders are so petty it creates a stressful situation for a driver, I don't need that kind of stress. When Lyft drivers start quitting and let the taxi cabs have that business a gain maybe some of you tight ass riders will finally understand you are the ones who ruined it for the rest of the grateful riders!!! My opinion Lyft doesn't defend the driver as they should and explain to the rider (who gets a text the minute the driver arrives at his destination). Riders don't realize they tie us up and delay us when we accept a ride request and that we're losing money when they make us wait. Lyft text should say something like please notify the driver if you aren't coming out right away and offer to let the driver begin the ride to compensate him for his waiting on you.
