There are plenty of salons to choose from but it's difficult to find a hair artist that delivers what is asked and doesn't get too personal. The salon itself is a bit dated but it reflects the price she's charging which I feel is very fair pricing. I'm a first time client and will be a regular. I noticed Lyly uses high quality products including olaplex in her services. She did gray blending on me which was ash highlights to help my gray hair grow out along with the process. She also gave a very good hair cut. If you have realistic hair goals, just ask her if she can do it. She's very responsive via text. I would suggest showing her photos beforehand. I should've read the reviews before coming here, Lyly is nice she worked with my schedule to take me in which I appreciated. I came in for a balayage it was at 4 pm so it was gonna get dark when I'm done, I also drove 40 mins to her and when I got there she asked me what color I wanted and I had showed her a picture because it was very similar to what I've always been getting "ash blonde". She told me it wouldn't come out exactly like the picture which was fine as long as it's ash blonde and it was going to be close to what I wanted. I also had told her to not touch my scalp as I am allergic to the toner. She said ok no problem we will leave an inch of space, which is fine cause that's how I've always had it done in NY at my regular salon. Lyly used a highlight technique for her balayage, which was already a red flag for me, but I trusted the process. When she had applied the toner I had reminded her to not touch the skin and I also asked if she had ear covers. She said she didn't and I told reminded her that I was allergic to the toner and to not touch my skin, which she said ok but ignored what I said because she still touched my scalp and ears. When she was drying my hair I was already thinking to myself oh no, this does NOT look like what I'm asking for, I at the time asked her also, "this is ash blonde" she said yes. Then as it was 70 percent dried I told her it doesn't look ash blonde she said she didn't want to bleach my hair too long otherwise it would damage it. She said that after a few washes with purple shampoo it will show more of the ash blonde. I trusted her, until I got home my husband asked me, oh you went with brown ?? I said what ? She gave me a completely different color, mind you, purple shampoo does nothing for brown hair. She didn't even give me an ash blonde nor an ash brown, it was straight brown bronze hair. I reached out to her and showing pictures, she offered to fix it for me. I initially felt bad and was like ok fine. Then I was going through an allergic reaction from the toner and I had to go to the urgent care. I didn't want to risk my life not taking a chance of going back there to try to get it fixed cause I would have to spend 2 hour round trip and then 3 hours there again just for her to fix it meanwhile if she could have done the color she would've done it in the first place. I reached out asking for a partial refund and she denied it. Saying she would get what I want no problem. Im like girl I don't wanna risk my life and time when it should've been done right in the first place. I WOULD NOT recommend coming here, just cause she was really just careless. Worst experience in a salon I've ever had. Long story short... Very Poor service. Rough shampoo. In the middle of my treatment she started working on another person that walked in... and handed me over to her assistant. Burnt my hair. Then my hair started falling out for weeks. Came here to get my hair done and sent in reference photos from her own page, she let me know it wouldn't be exact but that was fine with me . The huge issue that happened was it didn't even come any where close to my photo at all , dark tone like the picture and I was left with something completely different... very upsetting. If I could get a refund I would love that, I'm not one to complain but this was just not it... I knew from when it got washed and they started blow drying that it was not going to come out good. I did a Japanese hair straightening. I liked it but not from the baby hairs it looks a little weird. Everything was great but the lady that helped me was a little rough with the treatment and my hair. The salon was good but can use a little cleaning since there was a lot of dust and the mirrors were very dirty. Vibe was ok but communication wasn't great. I appreciated the quick response and they were able to see me the next day. My number one concern was hair damage after these dyeing process, BUT!! I came out with smooth hair, smell AMAZING for days after, and looking fabulously with the new hair color! I can tell Lyly cares about my hair condition rather than about "get the job done." She charged me $285 for some horse orange brassy hair that made me so Angry! Bc of her, I halve trust issues with other hair stylist and she claims she's the owner?? How did she even get her license? This is a long awaited updated review. LyLy is a great hairstylist but when it comes to bleaching she over processes resulting in major hair loss. Prior to coming to her I had thick and healthy hair. I had orange hair and she managed to get me to the blonde i desired, but at the price of losing majority of my hair. She had a habit of reapplying bleach on to already processed blonde hair for multiple hours. I would be careful coming here. do not come here for a root retouch. lyly fu*ked up my hair real bad almost to the point i regret coming and almost broke down into tears after i saw the end result. okay so before she did my hair a blonde ombré balayage, it turned out beautiful. after 5 months, my roots are growing so i wanted a retouch. i went back to lyly because i have trust in her thinking she knows what she's doing. but i am clearly WRONG! first of all i texted her a week before the appointment, telling her what i want ( which is retouch my roots) and how much. she quoted me $95. i was like okay cool it sure is affordable. then when i got there, i told her that i would like to retouch my roots since it's dark and only just the top. since my ends that were blonde were fine, i wanted to keep the blonde color the way it is. which is a nice blonde and not brassy. she said okay. then she came up to me asking me if i'm the one who texted her this and that, i said no that's not me. i'm the one who texted you a week earlier about my roots only. she said okay. just an FYI, i never got my hair retouch before so i don't know how the hair process works only by watching youtube videos how they did it. then as she went on with my hair, she bleached my roots like twice after that she put a color on my roots. as i was thinking she's blending the color in to my blondes, ok.... but i don't know what she's doing when my head is in the sink. it seemed like she put hair color dye onto my ends as well. at this point i should've question her what she's doing. but the fact that i trusted her and trust the process, i let it be. after my hair was done and it comes to blow drying/styling. my hair looks terrible, its looks like a light brown on my whole roots and the ends of my hair aren't blonde anymore! this isn't what i wanted.... i was so disappointed and mad that i just want to shave my whole head. parts of the top of my head was blotchy and brassy. one little part of the tip of my hair line was still black that she did not dyed making it look weird. when i lift some section of my hair, it was blotchy! so she was like it looks very nice but ain't what i wanted. so when it's time to pay, she said it's $275. i told her how does it went from $95 to $275! you freaking scammed me!!! if i knew the price would be like this and how ugly my hair turned out i wouldn't even stay in the first place. honestly if she told me in the first place that she can't do it or explain it to me that it'll be different or whatever. i would be gladly to leave but instead she doesn't talk and went ahead. clearly she just wants money! she was the only person working and there was another client there. i asked her why is it this much, i didn't know it was this much and showed her the text that she said it's 95. she just looked at me and starting laughing, like bro it ain't funny. i also told her this isn't what i wanted i only want my roots retouch, she keep saying "i got rid of the dark roots for you and i dyed it everything nicely. " then she said ok, 250... like no!!! it's still isn't what i want! i still paid but no the price she tryna give me in the end, and left! when i got in the car to look at my hair, it was so bad.... that i was so pissed off regretting it so freaking bad for trusting her! she may be good at dying the whole head but not when it comes to retouching. the salon is also dirty asf, unsanitary seats, brushes and sink. i would never go back again!!!!! read more

I tried this salong for the first time. I went in for a layer cut and perm. The hair stylist said to color it too and to do highlights. I actually thought it would kill my hair cause it's too much chemicals. The last perm I had I went back and wanted to color and perm my hair but they told me it was too much chemicals. I went ahead to let the hair stylist do it all and turned out great. In total was about 320. Which is a great deal for me. They were super sweet because it was a long process and even though I didn't eat they offered me a bowl of noodles which I politely declined. Definitely would recommend this salon read more

I always enjoy coming to Lyly for her great service and how she'll go out of her way to fix her mistakes. When she dyed my hair blue, I saw she missed some parts, so I told her about it, and she had me come in ASAP for her to fix it out of charge, obviously. When I dyed my hair blue the 2nd time, she did over process my hair, and I know this because literally, one part of my hair has breakage. I did tell her about it and she offered a solution that helped a bit. My hair is now growing back now though. Fast forward, I got tired of my blue hair so I asked her for a light blonde ombre (something low-maintenance). The process surprisingly took less time to do than when I dyed my blue hair) which was about 4 hours. I'm pretty sure it's because my hair was already super light from my blue color. She managed to get all of the blue out surprisingly (no blue tint at all) and gave me the color I wanted. She did a lot better than what I wanted to be honest; better than the photos I gave her for reference! It was about $280 and she told me every 3 months tone + root touch up is $95.
