We called him initially to give us a quote for a over the range microwave install, fixing weather stripping on the entry door, replacing blinds and fixing the screen door on the patio. He took a look and said he could do it all and quoted $635 for all including parts and then we agreed upon $600 as the final amount and I paid him half when he finished half of the jobs. a. Screen door - He did a poor job at it, pictures show what it looks like now. It does not close and problem still persists. Now he returned to fix it, attempted to hammer it in and said well you need to replace the whole door, which he did not inform us earlier before he started the work, and now wants more money to install a new door there. b. Blinds - he put them the wrong way and tenant could not function them, he returned and had to work to uninstall everything and do it the right way. Poor job, poor skills. c. Front Door - pictures show the weather stripping job he did to seal the air gap that we had complained about and he said he could take care of it. Now he returned, and said well I did this as a favor and it was not part of the deal. Changes his word and is is unreliable ! d. Over range microwave - this is the only reasonable fix and even this, he was acting up and asking money from the tenant even though we had agreed upon everything prior to starting the job. Overall, his business ethics are poor and skills are worse. I would not recommend him to anyone !

To show the concern that they have for their work...the door to the screen porch was an off the shelf door and it began to fall apart soon after installation. Kham hand-built a new door and it has worked perfectly since installation. We had purchased materials for a series of pantry shelves and DJ and one of his crew knocked it out in a few hours. It looks great and functions perfectly. We decided to replace the tile in the second, tiny bathroom. The floor went down without a hitch but we hated the old, broken soap and toothbrush holders above the sink. Tuan talked with my wife and he figured out how to carefully remove the soap and toothbrush holders and replace them with two of the floor tiles. It looks amazing and looks like it has always been there! Every project got the same attention and great work.

I appreciated that he used shoe covers when he arrived, he brought covers to protect my walls and floors, and he worked with me to decide the best way to display things. He said he could complete the job before Christmas. Well, Christmas came and went, and the work was nowhere near complete. During this time, he repeatedly asked for additional money, which I paid. At the same time, he began taking on other jobs and would only show up to work on my house intermittently. My home became unlivable due to sheetrock dust covering everything. The work area included my living room, dining area, and kitchen, and I was forced to stay confined to my bedroom. He had promised to move and cover my belongings to protect them and complete the work in sections. That did not happen. Instead, dust and paint spread throughout the house. By mid-January, the job was still unfinished. He had disappeared for a little while. I thought he was working other jobs. But actually- he was in jail and has been in jail multiple times. Domestic violence. When he returned, he told me he had other jobs and would return in two weeks to finish, leaving me unable to properly live in my home. In February, I became seriously ill with COVID. While I was at the hospital, he showed up at my house. I did not know he was coming to work. But someone was there and let Daniel. When I returned home that evening, he was in my driveway, angry that I was not there to pay him and insisted the job was complete and demanded payment. I wrote him a check. I was very sick. I went straight to bed. The next day, it was clear the work was not complete. There were unfinished areas, and my home was covered in sheetrock dust and paint. Paint overspray was on windows, cabinets, and furniture, and there were large areas of paint on the flooring. When I contacted him, he initially said he would return. The night before he was supposed to come back, I sent a punch list of items that still needed to be completed. He responded angrily with a F-you, accused me of "nitpicking and criticizing his work" and refused to return to finish the job. As it stands, the work remains incomplete, and my home has been left with significant mess. I hired him off Nextdoor where he had some good reviews. I did not know that sometimes, Nextdoor removes bad reviews. So I didn't know. I didn't see his picture on The Georgia Gazette either.
