I did not like this location. It's muddy, small, and there is no path to walk on. My ideal dog park is one that is a combination of this one and Bay Area (size plus dog pond). Until then, I'll keep going to Bay Area. Edit: from 2 star to 1. Since one of the people associated with the park felt the need to contact me and respond in a way that is intended to shame me for my opinion and review, they now get ONE star. Maybe the next time they feel like doing good for the community, they will prioritize the needs of the community. A DRY walking path for humans is more important than a dog wading pool, and I'm sure a 20K path is less expensive. There is also no pavilion covering or shelter. Finally, contrary to what Mel claims, mud is not created from overuse. The only thing this park has that's a benefit is location for nearby residents. I repeat myself : THIS DOG PARK IS SMALL! If you have a large dog he/she won't be happy. We usually have trouble getting our dog to leave Bay Area dog park; but here, she can't wait to leave. We went a few times when people and dogs are expected to be there (after work) but there were hardly any other dogs. The park size at Bark Park is half of that of Bay Area, if not less. The cute doggy ponds are not enough to convince my baby this is a better dog park. Dogs want to run and play with other dogs in open space. Our baby does not care about the pond or the obstacle course. And we care about a walking path and shelter.

The trail extends through the adjoining neighborhoods.

This park has a little bit for everyone: basketball courts, soccer field, baseball fields, canoe put in, jogging/bicycle trail, and dog park. Not a huge park but laid out well so that it does not feel crowded. I come here for the put in and the jogging trail. The put in is a little muddy but par for this area (Clear Creek). The jogging trail inside the park is not that long but winds through adjoining neighborhoods and comments to a couple of small neighborhood trails. You can make it a long jog if you want to...

Visited this place with my brand new pup today! Gorgeous park. I'm new to dog parks, but I thought it was super nice with great things for dogs to play with and lots of space for both big and small pups. There was quite a bit of unpicked up dog poop so maybe a sign that says something more strict for trashy people to fee compelled to follow this simple rule??!!

Sugar and I attend Bark Park at countryside at least once a week if not multiple times a week. This dog park is so much better than Bay Area dog park. Theres so much more open space for Sugar to run and play with other dogs. Also, shes a small corgi, and all the dogs at this dog park have always been friendly towards her, and she feels much more comfortable with the dogs here than she did at the Bay Area dog park. Since they fixed the mud issue with the fountains the park is perfect!!! We can go without the dreaded bath time afterwards! Cant wait for the dog pond!

The Bark Park has been a really nice addition to the Clear Lake area! Lots of space for the puppies to roam around. They've been saying they're going to build a pond for the dogs, but it hasn't happened yet... so ready for it so the pups can cool off.

OMG DOG PARK! THE BEST!! This park also has a great paved trail for walks with your human! Beware of snakes, and it can get pretty muddy after it rains.

Great Dog Park. Friendly Visitors. Plenty of water tins to refill for our furry families. Plenty of doggie bags too.

I'm not going to lie, as I was reading the reviews from Yelp and Google about Stevenson, I thought…read moreto myself, how can anyone call this park beautiful if it's stuck in the heart of Friendswood, TX? It wasn't until I got out of my vehicle and stepped on the red trail, walking, seeing so many dedication gardens in every area of the park. Who knew that Friendswood had its own flag to be flown so high next to the Texas and US flags? That is what made me feel that this park was a beauty, and I even thought of my surname park, Wilshire Park in Portland, OR. This park and that park can be compared to each other since both are surrounded by trees shading the path around the perimeter of the green space. Both have spaces for children to play, but Stevenson has added amenities, including the on-site pool, Texas native wildflower garden, splash pad, basketball, and tennis courts. The trail is 1/2 mile long, winding, and semi-narrow; when I am trying to tap into mindfulness, I tend to walk slower than a regular-paced person, and as I was walking, other park-goers were cutting me off to overwalk me and not giving me space when passing me up. I would have liked the path to be a tad wider in width to prevent this from happening. Nonetheless, it's still overall a solid neighborhood park and one would say a hidden gem. I wasn't expecting this place to be what it was and had a prenotion bias that it would have been like Frankie Carter Randolph and 1776 Park (two parks that I don't care for); but I am happy that it wasn't. Huge spacious parking lot with restrooms onsite. I think the artwork is from the same artist who painted bayou birds, natives, and animals at the Lynn Gripon (park in League City, TX) and Exploration Green (park in Clear Lake, Houston, TX), which is pretty cool if they are local to the area. I will have to add to this my list of parks to explore in the evenings and weekends!

I always knew it was here, and we actually stopped by here one year around Christmas time as they decorate the little gazebo with white lights. It's very pretty, and very romantic, but after that time I sorta forgot it was here. Yesterday though I was on a long run and decided to see if this park has a running trail. And it does! It's only 1/4 of a mile but a lot of it is shady (nice!) and I love the surface! It's not gravel like Texas Avenue and it's softer than asphalt. It feels like the surface that's on an actual track. And bonus, there's NOBODY here. If you want a quiet, solitary run, come here! There was one lady and her young child at the playground area and as I was leaving another runner came along. That's it. Maybe it gets busier later, or at different time, I don't know. Now granted, this is a small park. No bathrooms, no water fountains, and just a couple little playground areas. But lots of picnic tables and benches and the nice gazebo, and of course the little track. But for a nice little quiet run in a nice little quiet neighborhood, this is the place to be! I know I will be back!
