Debated on making a review but wanted to tell everyone about my recent experience. Went in for a consultation for a wisdom tooth after waiting an hour Dr comes in and just says "yes we can do it'" shouldve been less time imo. Day of surgery, same thing waited 40 after my appointment time for the dr to finally come in. Post surgery they were supposed to send medicine to my pharmacy and never did. Two weeks later at my check up appt they ask about my medicine to which I replied that they hadn't sent it and said they would right away but again, never did. I have had three implants done by Dr. Pierri. She is the most skilled dental professional I have ever worked with. She genuinely cares about you as a person....not just as a patient. Do NOT go here. Terrible experience - will NEVER be back. I called on 2/17 for a broken tooth causing pain - Zero empathy on the phone. I had been here before and they couldn't get me in until 3/11. I requested the dentist I had seen previously at Destination Dental. I was allegedly booked with him for that date. Then the confirmation email came and said the appointment was on 2/25 which was never discussed over the phone. I made scheduling adjustments and took PTO from work to attend the appointment because I was in pain and looked forward to an earlier appointment, though it was never agreed upon over the phone. When I arrived to the cold, dreary, and outdated office (on time) at 1 PM the receptionist greeted me with a miserable attitude. This is no surprise as everything trickles down from the top. Dr. Pierri shouts her staff's names as if she is calling her own children into the living room - demeaning. Pierri is rude and abrasive, and very inconsiderate of patients' time. This isn't even the worst of it though. After waiting for a half hour, I was finally taken in for X-Rays. At this time I still believed I was seeing the dentist I had seen at a previous appointment but to my surprise I was suddenly seeing Dr. Pierri. This was never communicated to me. Terrible communication in this office. I was left laying around completely neglected. With that time, I had nothing else to do but look around. I saw other patient's medical appointments displayed on the monitor - HIPAA violation. I also saw "Donna's Last Day" on the monitor, I believe that may have been the receptionist I first dealt with. (How else would I know this information without seeing it on the monitor?) They record the appointment (without making the patient aware) and with that there is also a transcription attached that I could clearly read staff in the chat's inappropriate comments being written in real time. In the end, I was referred to another dentist office for a provider who accepted my insurance for a root canal. The practice seems to cherry-pick which services they will and won't perform, a patient would appreciate this information prior to coming in for a consultation on a procedure they will have to go elsewhere for. When I expressed that I was running short on time to Dr. Pierri (after being there for 1.5 hours and needing to return to work) condescendingly barked at her staff, "he's tired." I told her "No, I'm not tired... I have to get back to work." In the end, Dr. Pierri was supposed to file the tooth down a bit so it would at least be tolerable in the interim of having to go see another dentist. I was placed in the operating room and left alone. There too, you can see all the patients' medical information on a monitor, again - HIPAA. By an hour and a half of waiting, I left (furious) with nothing but a broken tooth and a referral elsewhere. I was ignored on my way out and was never given a phone call to ask about my whereabouts or satisfaction with the appointment. I'm sure they'll still send me a bill for that copay though - priorities. read more

Terrible. Don't waste your time. They scheduled my husband and I for the same hour and while his was a consultation it took an hour to just tell him he didn't need the extraction. I waited over an hour and actually needed the extraction but left because when I walked in it was a MESS. theyre Unorganized and ask you to arrive early for no reason, because after that hour and my final attempt to be seen then they ask for my insurance card, something they could have asked for while I sat in my car . I scheduled a consultation with Dr. Pierri for a wisdom tooth removal and came in, ready to schedule the procedure. I arrived about 15 minutes before my appointment and called to tell them I was outside. The receptionist, Mary, told me it would be a few minutes and someone would call me once they were ready. Sure enough, I received a call a few minutes later from Angela. I walked to the front of the building and noticed a massive Blue Lives Matter flag hanging outside the door. I thought the flag was unprofessional and inappropriate. Once inside, my temperature was taken as a precaution to prevent the spread of COVID-19. After a few tries, we finally got a reading and I was motioned to the front desk, where I gave the receptionist my ID and insurance. I signed in and wrote down my temperature. For the consultation, I paid $75. Next, I followed Angela to get an x-ray of my mouth. She set up the computer and calibrated the machine. She put the radiology apron on me before adjusting the machine to fit my face. However, I wish I received information prior to my appointment about the x-ray because I have a nose ring that is hard to remove. I also put on earrings, which had to be removed prior to the scan. I'm also not sure why they could not refer to my x-rays from my dentist, saving me the extra scan. Can your office access those x-rays? Once I got to the room, the technician was not able to locate my x-ray. After checking the previous computer and consulting with another technician, I was asked to take another x-ray. I did not mind getting up to take another x-ray, but it was clear that the computers were a bit slow and the x-ray can be uncomfortable. Angela was very pleasant about everything. From there, we returned to the room and Angela put the x-rays on the screen. She told me I needed to watch a few videos before talking with Dr. Pierri, informing me about the procedure and post-op guidelines for after-care, such as medication, anaesthesia, and diet. I could tell the videos were really outdated and the audio wasn't very accessible. If you're deaf or hard of hearing, I would ask for the technician to turn on the closed captioning. Each video took about 5 minutes from start to finish and the latter featured Dr. Pierri herself (maybe about 30 years ago). She walked us through the expectations for recovery, as well as provided recommendations (e.g., avoid dairy to prevent bacteria or exercise). Once the videos were over, Angela brought in Dr. Pierri, who repeated the information from the video almost verbatim and described the procedure again. She also described the x-ray to me, her recommendations for anaesthesia, and medication. She recommended that most people remove their wisdom teeth between 16-19 and asked if I had any questions. After receiving the consultation, the technician, Angela, reviewed the information with me and scheduled the following appointments: a COVID test two days prior to the procedure, which is done in house by Dr. Pierri, the procedure, and a post-op procedure to remove the sutures and monitor the area. I also filled out additional paperwork to confirm everything. I was a bit uncomfortable that I wasn't able to review the forms, though. Instead, the information was summarized to me on the tablet and then, handed to me to sign. I wish I could receive a paper copy. We also ordered the medication for the procedure ahead of time, to be picked up by the pharmacy. This is happening about a month before the procedure. I was told the medication will not expire. At the end of my appointment, I was sent to the front desk once again to pay a portion of the anaesthesia, which was $195 (which was in addition to the $75 I paid earlier, totalling $270 for the visit). Do know that the anesthesiologist fees are meant to be paid out-of-pocket, as they are not associated with Dr. Pierri's practice. It is relatively expensive and I would expect to pay at least $500 for general anaesthesia. Overall, I thought the appointment was fine. I thought Dr. Pierri was knowledgeable about the procedure, though I noticed her reviews are a mixed bag (some are exceptional, others are pathetic and express disappointment with the service). Additionally, I was a bit uncomfortable in the office, as information regarding their COVID policies (e.g., mask-wearing and social distancing) was non-existent. I didn't even see so much as a sign and other patients in the office were either mask-less or wearing them improperly (with their nose exposed, for instance). This was also true for the staff members, but a plexiglass partition separated us. I will note that Angela was kind and wore her mask properly. She was patient and informative during my visit. I really enjoyed speaking with Angela, but Dr. Pierri is very quick and plain-spoken. While this makes the visit quicker, do not expect a warm or friendly approach from her. Nonetheless, I am looking forward to getting the procedure over with. read more

I went to Dr Pierri for a consultation to extract one front tooth. They were in my network for insurance but still wanted money for the anesthesiologist that they claimed was out of network. So they were going to charge my insurance and also make me pay as well. I do not recommend this dentist. I went to another dentist for my procedure. When I received my consultation bill they tried to bill me for a panoramic x-ray that they never took. ALL THEY CARE ABOUT IS MONEY. read more

My daughter Allison just had four wisdom teeth removed at this amazing facility. The staff is extremely professional and very helpful. Dr. Pierri was very thorough and patient, she sat with us and explained everything - what we are to expect. I also have to mention Mary at the front desk! She is kind and she took her time with us and helped us from start to finish to ensure this entire process was smooth. Dr. Pierri squeezed my daughter in at the end of her already busy day and was even as so kind to assist my daughter to our car when the procedure was over. I couldn't recommend the doctor and this office enough to anyone looking for dental surgery in the Long Island area. 5/5!! read more

Can't say enough good things about this doctor or her staff. Had an emergency appointment with her ( had called other offices and was offered more then a 2 week wait for an emergency) for a failed root canal. Dr Pierre is professional and explains everything clearly. Went back to the office 2 days later to have my tooth extracted. Dr has a surgical room for extractions with a board certified anesthesiologist. He also was extremely nice. I was hesitant about being out to sleep so I had local Novocain at the site. The anesthesiologist stayed in the room just in case it was too much for me and decided I wanted to be put out. Dr Pierre spoke to me the whole time letting me Know what was going on. Easy leash tooth out 2 stitches placed and on my way. Followed up The following week to have stitches removed and will see her in 4 months for implant ( my decision ). Her staff is compassionate and goes above and beyond. So glad that I found her. Do yourself a favor and see her before anyone else she is phenomenal PS. Dr. Pierri is a wonderful doctor and from my experience excellent at what she does. I went to her for a procedure that I was very unfamiliar with, so naturally was nervous. The team that walked me through what I was to expect were super nice and made me feel better about what I was going to get done, and the procedure went even smoother and quicker than I was expecting. Including recovery! I am extremely satisfied with the work I had done and with the end result. The office is beautiful and clean and has a friendly atmosphere. The whole team at the front desk is super nice and welcoming and you can see they work well together. It was busy when I was there for the visits, but for obvious reasons that Dr. Pierri is in high demand. Will definitely recommend Dr. Pierri to friends and family! read more

One star because she got the work done and all is good but her office and practices are terrible! My husband, a 29 year old, needed his wisdom teeth out. Just two of them on the bottom. Dr. Lynn Pierri informed us that because of his advanced age he would need anesthesia for the procedure. I pushed back asking if it was truly necessary because I knew I'd have a difficult time with insurance. She insisted he needed it. Fine. We have NYSHIP (pretty decent insurance). Dr. Lynn Pierri was covered but the backwoods anesthesiologist wasn't. There must be some under the table deal with her. We paid $195 out of pocket in office for "IV Meds" And $865 out of pocket on the day of surgery for anesthesia. Insurance has yet to cover either because they cannot get the right information for the procedure. It seems the anesthesiologist just took the money and ran. No one answers at either practice. I have sent in everything from forms, receipts, procedure documents... it's like they (Dr Lynn Pierri and the anesthesiologist) purposely mislabel the form to make it unidentifiable. I wouldn't recommend Dr. Lynn Pierri to anyone. Yes she does a great job but the headache is just not worth it. This was done back in March and I'm still fighting on a weekly and now daily basis with insurance. I will remove/update my review if this gets rectified. read more

I can't thank Dr. Lynn Pierri enough for all she has done for me starting with a wisdom tooth extraction January 2018. Then last year, I had a major tooth infection in which the tooth needed to be extracted immediately in which she got me in right away for emergency surgery just after she reopened following the pandemic shut down. She didn't even wait for my delayed negative covid result as she knew my health was in jeopardy. She was so caring, compassionate and successfully performed a very complicated extraction that took about 55 minutes under IV sedation which was much longer than my wisdom tooth extraction. I came back today for the first stage of my implant surgery for the tooth that was pulled. Again, She wowed me as she performed the procedure with me awake without IV sedation. She was so patient with me and managed to get the implant in my very small mouth for tooth #15 that was so far back in a tight spot. She really is the most skilled, confident, competent, experienced, compassionate, caring and the best dental surgeon. I Highly recommend her! I am so glad my father in law ( he used her over 30 years ago for his wisdom tooth extraction surgery ) recommended her when I had my wisdom tooth extraction in 2018. Thanks again to Dr. Lynn Pierri and her staff who are all so very caring & friendly. If I could give them zero stars that is what I would give them. Nothing good to say about anything in this office. Staff is unprofessional and rude. When I made an appointment on the telephone, I was told they accepted my ins. I would only have a $100 out of pocket consult fee. When I arrived for my appointment I was told that the consult fee was now $160. I complained but I had no choice but to proceed. I paid the additional fee and went into the exam room with an inexperienced assistant. 10 minutes later another assistant comes in and tells me that I would have to pay an additional fee of $24 for the biopsies as it was not covered by my insurance. I could not believe what was happening. Dr. Pierri would not do the procedure unless I agreed to pay the additional fees. Again I felt I had no choice since I had already paid them $160 so I agreed to the additional fee. The procedure literally took Dr. Pierri 2 minutes to perform. I left the office feeling like I had been robbed. Six months later I get a bill for an additional $100. I have been disputing this bill for the past 1.5 year. I have had this biopsy procedure performed by other surgeons with no out of pocket cost to me whatsoever. When the dust settles Dr. Pierri's office charged my insurer $838 and charged me $300 = $1138 for a 2 minute procedure. I would never ever recommend this office or Dr. Pierri. Just because they have a fancy office in a fancy building they expect the insurers and patients to pay their rents. read more

Dr Lynn Pierri was the best! She is sincere, informative and really has the best intentions for her patients. I was recently seen by her for an emergent wisdom tooth extraction with a bad infection and ended up taking all 4 out. Dr P and her staff did the most to make sure I was calm and comfortable in their care. Following the procedure I did have a good amount of clot formation and bleeding. Dr P kept the office open an extra 45mins in case I had to come in, reached out after hours to FaceTime me and help get the bleeding under control, as well as checked in multiple times throughout the night after hours to make sure I was doing ok. Although there was some issues post op, I can confidently say I would recommend this office to anyone! read more

I came to Lynn Pierri office on recommendation from my 4 yr olds daughters pediatric dentist. She has had some bad experiences at other places and here they had my daughter laughing and she wanted to show us she was a big girl there . During her x-rays she had a blast with the girls asking so many questions and was actually really excited to get work done by them because of how nice they were to her. Wow! Where do I start. It's a very nice looking place and everyone is very friendly until God forbid you ask questions about the bill. Let's start with the billing practice, the office takes my insurance 100% but doesn't take my insurance for the anesthesia. I spoke directly with the dentist about talking a specific card (care credit) for payment and it was fine until the procedure was over. The quoted price was double and suddenly they don't take the credit card originally accepted. They did explain that the cost was $150 for the first 15 min of sedation and $100 for every 15 after that. They charged me $350 for 44 minutes. Erica in the billing Dept, which is one end of the desk in the large office space, told me I could not use the card anymore and that the dentist previously told me I couldn't, yet she wasn't originally in the room and the dentist wasn't there telling us this new information because she was busy with another patient. I guess you don't matter anymore once they're done with you. I asked why the cost had gone up so high because the dentist originally said it was an easy procedure and they'd "pop right out" yep her words. Eventually I paid it with another credit card which wasn't a problem it was just principle, if you say something then stick to it. So I ask the billing girl, who has now gotten very nasty, as I seemed to have interrupted her texting conversation, if she could provide me with my insurance claim form, to which she says, you don't need it. I leave the office and call my insurance and guess what? I need it, so I call back and Erica gets on the phone and is obviously still very annoyed. And the new story is that I now have to call the anesthesia office, which is a completely separate office in a different county, and get it through them as she is not responsible for their billing, they just take the payment. I would highly recommend against going here unless you have disposable income, apparently on Erica's level. You get false promises, sneaky billing practices, uncoordinated treatment and rude staff, when they don't like you asking questions. Horrible service! Once they have your money, they do not care about you. My experience with Dr. Lynn Pierri over a decade ago was great. She removed a wisdom tooth for me. We went back and forth for a little while but she finally agreed to remove my tooth without putting me under anesthesia. Went totally fine. I was back to work the same day and had barely any swelling. So naturally when I found myself in the same situation; I reached out to her office again. What a difference 10 years made in her attitude. First day of the visit, she looked at my tooth for like 2 minutes. Thought maybe I wouldn't want to have it removed because of my age and wanted me to think about it. She gave a couple of pain meds; and told me to continue with the antibiotics my dentist gave me and take the weekend. Maybe when the swelling went down i'd change my mind. THEN he looked at my tooth and said oh yea that's got to come out. We scheduled my surgery for the following week. This was Dec 19th. I followed the pre-surgery instructions, took the two days off of work, had a driver since I was being put under and paid my dues. $198.00 just to make the appointment. I figured they would be taking that off of the balance after the surgery. I figured wrong. Very wrong. I got there on surgery day in good spirits. First thing they asked was if I have all of the prescriptions they gave me filled. I told them but I was only given a few pain killers so I would need more. The assistant told me no. I said you're opening my gum and taking my tooth out and you're not going to give me anything for the pain? He said to take some advil I think. I told them there was no way I was going under without pain meds. The doc came in and said she would give 5. I said that was fine. After they made me feel like a drug addict for even asking. So then I get in the back and the anesthesiologist was very friendly and did his thing. I woke up and they called my driver in and they gave us both instructions for aftercare. We left and about 2 hours later I said to him they didn't ask me for the payment for the anesthesia. He then told me he paid it and gave me the receipt and it was $655.00!!! On top of the $66.00 dollar co-payment I made. So I called the office. I asked them what happened to the $198.00 I gave them when I made the appointment. They said that paid for the drugs they put into the anesthesia. I asked them for a letter, which I told them about before the procedure, for the insurance company. Well..... that was a lot to ask the front desk lady. She kept saying that they don't accept insurance. I kept telling her I understood, however, in order to submit a claim to my insurance company to get reimbursed; I needed a letter stating why I needed to be put under anesthesia. With a big puff; she said I'll go talk to the doctor. At this point, I lost my patience with her and told her I already spoke to the doctor about it so she shouldn't be surprised. Also, I told her I wanted a list of medications they put in the anesthesia that cost me $198.00, which I was under the impression would be deducted from my bill. Well she REFUSED to give me that information. She did get me the letter and sent it out in the mail that same day. I don't understand how they can refuse to give me information about what they put into my own body but whatever. Fast Forward, that weekend my face was killing me. Needless to say something was wrong. I waited for a few days and after a miserable Christmas in pain, I called them and let them know it was really painful. I got back to the office, they took some x-rays, and they weren't very clear but they used them anyway to tell me I had a dry socket. Dr. Pierri was so rude about it. Blamed me, wouldn't help me with the pain, all in the minute she saw me. Like I said they had my money so after that they couldn't care less. I left, very upset. I was in pain for about 3 weeks. I still managed to have a nice New Years but it certainly could have been better. I wanted to get an implant for my back tooth that was removed in my 20's and at first I said forget it, I'll never go back there. Then I just thought, I'll go somewhere else. To top it all off, I just received another bill for over $300. I believe it was for the xray she took. I'm not sure. I'm not paying it whatever it is. read more

I needed an implant and had gone to three dental facilities for consultations due to the chance of success for this particular tooth. This is not a commercial implant factory like the other two places I consulted with that seemed to be all about what they can sell you! Dr. Pierri explained exactly what had to be done and did a perfect job. From start to finish Dr. Pierri's staff was wonderful. Dr. Pierri actually cared about my concerns and takes so much pride in her work. She is a gifted surgeon!Dr. Pierri personally took her time on a weekend to call to see how I was doing! She made me feel like family! I don't understand the reviews that say it's all about the money. Dental implants are not cheap but are an investment for something you use every day for the rest of your life! It's an investment in yourself. As the saying goes...You get what you pay for! On Mon May 10 2021 I called and made an appointment to see Dr Pierri on Tue May 25 But before I ever called the Dr Pierri odice I went on line and also called my insurance....Yes Dr Pierri IS in Network When I called Dr Pierri on May 10 the office worker said she"does not think they accept my insurance" but she will check and "Call Back" 9 days later on May 19 they still did not have an answer Just a Note...Medical Insurance makes the Medical world go round....I demand an answer after 9 days...but not from the incompetent staff at Dr Pierri office... The May 25 appointment came and went with still no answer to...Does Dr Pierri office Accept or Do Not Accept my Insurance??? So!!! If you deal with them Write down "what" and "when" they tell you something!!! As far as the Staff goes Incompetency Reigns And Dr Pierri probably has No Idea that they took my appointment and threw in in the trash Final Thought Beware and be aware if yo have any dealings with their staff!!! read more

I recently got my 4 wisdom teeth removed by Dr. Pierri. I am an extremely anxious patient and felt that I received great care from everyone in the office, especially Rachel. I was told to expect swelling for about 2 weeks; as I was also told my removal would be quite difficult due to two impacted teeth. No swelling whatsoever and no other issues! Her office is worth the relative high price, and the external Anesthesiologist was amazing. I did not expect to feel so great after the procedure, and followed the Dr.'s instructions to a T! Highly recommend especially for patients who are apprehensive about dental work! read more

My experience with Dr. Pierri was nothing short of fantastic from start to finish. She is incredibly knowledgeable, friendly, efficient, and skilled. I needed to have all four of my wisdom teeth removed, two of which were proving particularly difficult, and yet I was still able to recover without any pain or swelling thanks to the work of Dr. Pierri. She makes sure any questions are answered, and provides you with a folder of information in case you forget anything. Dr. Pierri herself is a very nice woman and knowledgeable. However, get ready to pay at lest 2 car payments for wisdom teeth extraction. I very pointedly stated that I did not want to be put under anesthesia because I knew it would be expensive and I'm not nervous at the oral surgeon. I was told I absolutely had to be put under due to my lower wisdom teeth being impacted and flat. Fine. Then they tell me it's $150 for the first 15 minutes and $100 for EVERY 15 minutes afterwards. Of course my extraction took 52 minutes. So that was over $500 for the anesthesiologist ALONE. Then another $215 for Dr. Pierri herself. I found this office through my insurance so what exactly did they charge my insurance that I was suddenly out over $700?! I am not a wealthy person as I'm sure a lot of her patients aren't either. Does the billing office care? Of course not. In fact, when I expressed my shock at the money they expected from me, their response was "you could always wait until you have the money." For 2 impacted teeth? After this is all said and done and my wallet is now $700 lighter, I returned for a follow up and discovered I had a partial dry socket. Dr. Pierri couldn't even figure out why. The x-rays showed no infection or tooth fragments. I did 4 days in a row of having it pressed after which Dr. Pierri told me that I would have to "tough it out." I'm now 23 days post surgery and my jaw is still in pain. I will never return to this office. I'm poorer and in more pain than I was before this "surgery." What a rip off! read more

Colleen has to be the most disrespectful employee of any establishment I've dealt with. She never calls back when promised, always has an attitude, and will be rude then hand up the phone. I got my wisdom teeth pulled here and everything from my prescriptions to the customer service was a complete mess. I've had to call back multiple times just so they can give my pharmacy the proper prescription and correct spelling of my last name. I DON'T RECOMMEND YOU GOING HERE BY ANY MEANS! read more

Dr. Pierri is amazing at what she does. I had no swelling after getting my wisdom teeth (all 4) removed. Dr. Pierri and her staff gave me a folder with very clear directions on how to help the healing process go as smoothly as possible and did an amazing job answering all my questions. When I had pain a few days after the surgery Dr. Pierri got me in right away to pack the socket with clove oil (this stuff tastes and smells horrible). After that, the pain was gone within minutes of leaving her office. The people at the front desk are very informative and they are very caring. I was terrified the day before my surgery and Patty at the front desk calmed me down and reassured me that I was in amazing hands. The billing department told me what the cost would be days before my surgery so I knew what to expect. I am so glad I went to Dr. Pierri, I couldn't have been in better hands! read more

Dr. Pierri is very nice and seems to do good work. The problem was the billing. Nobody ever seemed to have an answer for my questions. Since I have no insurance, I ask about using care credit. Nobody is ever able to answer my simple questions as, do you accept care credit? They never knew any billing questions, not even the billing girl herself. Very frustrating. The day of my surgery they still didn't have all the details worked out, even though I called in advance to make sure it was settled (always received an attitude on the phone). Now all is done and my surgery went well. One month later I get a letter saying Dr. Lynn Pierri only takes care credit without any interest rates for up to six months. I guess everyone that works there is loaded with money because they don't seem to care about the patient's money and bill. It went from me being able to pay $300 a month and pay my surgery off in a year, to paying $530 so I can pay it in six months. This type of thing matters when you're paying out of pocket and have other bills to pay. But like I said, her office couldn't care less. read more
