Only reason they got stars...... is that the service department people are amazing. I bought a 2019 Hyundai Tuscan it's about to make 2 yrs in October. They sold me a lemon the car has had consistent mechanical issues. First the had to change my heater core because somehow the prior owner broke it. So,they removed my front console in my car and DIDNT properly put it back together. I had to complain several times about for them to deep clean the car. Car smelled like 100 smoker lived there. I doubt the inspected the car prior to selling it but, claimed it was certified pre owned. When I first leased from them it was an amazing place. Now the sales person are horrible and they sell you bull crap cars. I was a fan of Hyundai and now I will definitely stay completely away from this dealership after this experience. For the financing the sales man was upset because they wanted me to use the people. They lost a loyal customer to make a quick buck. read more

The shittiest of the shitty. My 2018 Ioniq broke down AGAIN -- third time. (It has 6,000 miles on it.) It's been there for a week and no one has even called me to say they received it much less looked at it. And yes I know they have it bc the tow company confirmed they dropped it. Last time they had it they admitted they didn't know how to fix the problem with the hybrid engine. They also couldn't give me a loaner EVER bc their cars were under so many recalls that all of their cars were out for the rest of humanity's existence. Lynne's Hyundai used to be a respectable, transparent dealership now they turned the tides to fall in with the rest of the sharks. I was there for 7 hours buying a Tuscon that "just came in". They had to "prep it". The vehicle had the wrong size windshield wipers and had a small dent they hid from me when showing the car. I called for 2 weeks with them dodging my calls. It was 97 degrees out and had 3 kids with me. I had to take my kids out multiple times for food and drinks. To add insult to it, right before they closed an ice cream truck pulled up. All the salesman rushed out ahead of the kids, my kids said Dad that's not professional. I said, hey Ice Cream on Lynne's since we were here 7 hours, they laughed licked their cones and walked back in. I'll never shop there again. read more

Where to begin? This dealership started off ok and as time progressed they took a wrong turn into the wrong direction. The claims on their website of being all about customer service; incorrect. This is my story you be the judge. January 28th, I'm searching for a car "2022 Hyundai Elantra Hybrid limited" this car is proven to be difficult to find "chip shortage" (you'll hear that a lot FYI.) but on there site they claim to have some "in transit" that was a good sign at the time. I called I spoke to Nia Walker the "Internet Sales Specialist" who then said I can make a deposit to guarantee I can at least see and test drive the car and would be 100% refundable. She then tells me these car in particular have been selling fast, (not a lie, I've asked around they are on demand) so I agree and setup to see the car in two weeks which is when it's supposed to be there. At this point I'm still unaware that she is not a sales person or that I will be pawned off to someone else who will actually sell me the car. On February the 4th I call her to confirm we are still on for February the 7th, which is when we last confirmed the car will be in and ready for me to test drive. She email's back there's a delay and now it has been pushed back one week the new ETA is February 12th. I agree and leave it as is. The next day February 5th I call Nia and ask her to disclose asking price (since i this point, I'm convinced I'm buying this car) she then says sure let me get the salesman Steven to take over from here (what you're not the sales person?) And his opening line to his our conversation is "I like to be transparent prices have gone up" I respond okay can you run the numbers and let me know how much? He goes sure but let me call you back while I do this. Should be like 10- 15 mins tops (he never calls) I called him back three times to get a price NOTHING, he ignored my calls. On February 7th, I call Steven again and finally get a hole of him. He claims to have not gotten to it. So I ask for my money back, if you can't do the simple task of telling me price I'm walking. He get a little in his feeling by the tone of his voice and agrees to do the refund and that tell's me it will take up to 7 days *hangs up* On February 11th I email Nia to confirm the refund is in progress to which she is unaware of and claims she will look into it and call me back. She never did. On February 12th, I called once again to speak to Steven since again no refun. He at this point claims it's in the works. But based on his tone and he's claim of this happening 1 to 2 days ago, gave me feeling of something is at mist or he never got to it. So I ask to speak to the manager. Bill at this point yells at Steven and assures me it's being take care. It shouldn't take this long, this many people to get a refund for a car which you don't have. It's insane it had to take all this for something as simple as a refund. I'm happy I didn't purchase at your dealership, poor customer service and bad behavior shouldn't be rewarded. read more

There was a recall on my wife's 2023 Kona. The recall said not to park the car in the garage because of a fire risk due to a problem with the electric oil pump. The remedy was not available until 3 months after the recall notice. I made an appointment to bring it in. When I arrived after sitting in rush hour traffic on the parkway, I was told it would take 3 hours to repair as opposed to the one hour the recall notice stated. I brought a book and decided to wait. After waiting 10 minutes, I was told that the part was back ordered and I would have to come back when it became available. Terrible way to treat a customer who had also recently purchased a Tucson. So far, we have purchased 2 vehicles from here. I love my 19 SantaFe, and my wife loves her 20 Palisades. I do about 2000 miles a month so I come in every 6 weeks and drop of my car for service. It is pricier than local places, but it is a lease, so they do a great multi-point inspection. They take covid seriously! Hand sanitizer all over the place. Social distancing lines everywhere. All employees wear masks. They even put plastic on your car seat and steering wheel. Staff is always very friendly. They keep the whole place very clean. If they do not have the vehicle that you want in stock, they can get it for you no problem! They didn't have the ones my wife and I wanted, but they were able to get it within a few days. They gave me a great offer on my old car! They also gave a pretty decent offer on my wife's as well. All in all, great dealership. Sales could do with a little better service. I read a lot of a reviews but never thought that my first review would be to a car dealer where I brought my first vehicle. Lynnes was portrait themselves as a family business but in the end they are just another business trying to sell you services that you do not need. On 2023, I brought my 2017 white Hyundai sonata to the dealership because the vehicle paint was peeling. The Hyundai created around this time all had peeling paint. There was a well documented case because Hyundai corporate currently knows the ongoing situation. When I brought my vehicle to the dealership, they refused to fix the problem and stated to contact Hyundai corporate which I did. Hyundai corporate stated that the dealership needed to offer the services since it was still under warranty. I obtained a email from corporate and submitted to the dealership which they continued to refuse services. Finally I set an appointment with Maxon Hyundai in Union. They immediately apologized and fixed all the paint defect without any questions as it was under warranty. I would warn people from purchasing vehicles and service there cars here at Lynnes as they are not honest with there services. Once they sell you a vehicle, you are on your own. My friend had other issues where the dealership would also not have a plate and did not give him an updated temporary New Jersey tag. Long story short he was issued a ticket because he was driving with expired plates do to dealers fault and they refused to compensate him for it. Lastly during around the same time, they sold me on a service from a brake fluid flush and oil change. When I drove off the log a couple days later vehicle was smoking. Turns out they forgot to put oil into the engine. Again never wrote a review and this is the first but buyers beware. It's called their "aggressive" pricing to get you through the door, only to try and bamboozle you with exorbitant fees that make your trade-in and cash down payment completely disappear. In my case, I was buying an $80k vehicle with a $16k trade in and $9k cash down payment and being told you're financing $93,000. Please don't be fooled. There are plenty of other reputable dealers who will appreciate your business. I wasted an entire day dealing with Zain, being fully approved and then shocked by the numbers they threw at me. A while back on another service I posted that I had been disappointed with my sales experience at Lynnes Hyundai. I walked in with a quote on the car I wanted to buy, which was binding for 30 days, and was told the quote would not be honored because they wanted $2,000 more. I also walked in with a verbal commitment that I would be paid 120% of book value for my car. Kelley Blue Book value was $9,600ish, so the trade in should have been $11,500ish. I was told that promise also would not be honored; I got $9,800. I was told that the manager had reviewed the car and that if they paid the $11,500 they would lose money. We fudged with the numbers and came up with a price I could live with, mainly because my daughter really wanted the car, but once you break your word it's hard to get my trust back. There was a minor scratch on the car. I was told when I came in to pick up my registration they would buff out the scratch. So all in all not a great experience, but not the worst experience. But HOLD ON it goes downhill from there. While Lynnes said it would lose money on my car if they paid me the $11,500 they had promised, I see my car for sale on the Lynnes website for $13,695. So that was a lie. That annoyed me. But when I went in to pick up my registration the poop started to hit the fan. I went in and was told that, because the salesman and the manager had not filed the necessary paperwork to authorize the minor repair, I would have to come back when the salesman was there and talk to him. Next day I went back and talked to the salesman. He said to me "thanks for the review, you killed me" and then turned his back and walked away. I tried to follow and talk to him to get this minor repair, and he actually closed a door in my face. I asked to speak to a manager, and the salesman went outside. He started venting about me, not realizing that he was standing next to my daughter who heard him call me a "fucking troll" and other nice things. Eventually, the repair was made. I thanked the manager and said I would not be back, this was the worst sales experience of my life. So yes, I bought a $40,000 car from Lynnes Hyundai, got lied to and treated with incredible disrespect. GO ANYWHERE ELSE. A few final thoughts. Lynnes has some guys walking around the parking lot with shirts that read "Valet." You might think that means the valets will park your car. You would be wrong. They either just stare at you or tell you you can't park where you parked. Also, when I posted my original review on Google, Lynnes responded with a post that the manager wanted to talk to me about my experience, please call. Anyway, we take our hybrid there and after leaving the car in the mid afternoon we call to find out its stats and are left on hold. And I mean left. So we go there to find out. they tell us we have to take it where we bought it. (Its a Hyundai - who makes and sells hybrids), because they cant figure out why an AWD warning light is coming on. BTW, they didnt call us. Initially they were going to say leave it overnight but then they said its a hybrid, take it where you bought it. Its a Hyundai. Hyundai makes and sells Hybrids and EVs. 4/21/2021 UPDATE, THE REPAIR OF THE AC SYSTEM Well fellow yelpers.......As promised, I'm posting this update which is the result of my 3rd visit to Lynnes Hyundai of Bloomfield for the replacement of the AC Hose & Tube Assembly (Suction Side) on my 2019 Tucson SEL SUV with only 6,500 miles on the odometer. As previously reported, I have had no air conditioning since I purchased this vehicle new at Lynnes. I took delivery in the middle of the winter and haven't had the opportunity to use the AC until the spring/summer of 2020 & 2021. A loose hose connector combined with a loss of refrigerant was the cause of having no AC in 2020. An attempt to remedy the cause was made at that time yet failed to properly correct the issue. (The Service Mgr at that time has since left the Dealership.) This latest diagnosis was correctly made by Mr. Dave Nash, Service Manager. So, again, arriving at the Dealership by 10:15 AM, by appointment, this date, I was greeted by Ms. Liz Rodriguez, Service Writer, who promptly scheduled the corrective (Warranty) work with the Tech Team. It must be pointed out here that the AC system had to first be evacuated of its refrigerant. Once done, the removal and installation of the replacement Hose and Tube Assy could begin. Then, the system had to be recharged with new refrigerant and tested. With today's visit, I elected to wait at the Dealership until such time that all work was completed. I would then take the opportunity to test the AC system myself. Considering that my mechanic had to wait for an available lift, combined with the above-mentioned work, I was at the Dealership for approx 5 hours. Again, Mr. David Nash is to be commended for taking the lead on this important repair, providing me updates as the day progressed. Additionally, Ms. Rodriguez stepped away from her busy service window to check on the progress of my repair work, giving me timely updates as well. The time had finally come when Dave Nash approached me with the news that all work on my Tucson had now been completed! At that point, all of the waiting seemed to dissipate as I walked to my vehicle, lifted the hood, did a quick visual inspection, started the engine, ran the AC and felt that super-cooled air blowing into the interior for the first time! Looking ahead, I mentioned to Lynne's Hyundai that our priority was to always keep our new (2 YO) Grandson safe and comfortable, protecting him from the eventual heat of the summer sun when placing him in our Tucson. Having AC that now functions will ensure us that we can travel with our Grandson knowing that he will be comfortable and not become overheated due to a lack of air conditioning. Think the price of a certified preowned car is as listed on the website? Think again. if they're unhappy with the deal they just cut, they'll tell you they need to add $1000 to certify. in NYS, the highest documentation charge fee a dealer can charge is $175. they'll quote you $850. Nevertheless, we finally settled on a price, I completed my purchase, then discovered THREE substantial issues with the car while waiting to drive off the lot. One they actually tried to explain away as a RECALL! So explain how the vehicle passed a 'rigorous 150 point inspection' prior to sale? Outrageously dishonest and untrustworthy. After purchasing the car (sales rep was literally gone one week after we bought the car) I realized I never got the warranty paperwork. Come to find out the sales rep lied to my face and I had to have it out with the sales manager to get a discounted rate on the warranty. Then two weeks later the battery died-not covered and Lynne's couldn't get me in for days...brought it to another Hyundai dealer and had a new battery in an hour. THEN six months later the brakes are squealing so we bring the car in to find out that they simply put new pads on top of old torn up rotors. READ BEFORE VISITING DEALERSHIP 2017 Chevy Cruze (ALWAYS ASK THE OTD or Out-The-Door Price)-This is final price after fees. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. They were marking up their asking price almost $5000 in ILLEGITIMATE fees. Taxes can never be avoided, but illegitimate fees definitely can. The sales Rep was insisting that these fees cannot be negotiated or adjusted. Prep Fee-$3000. This fee covers all maintenance done to the car, BY the dealership in order for them to SELL the car. Also includes add on's that me as the customer did not request on this car. This should already be included in the asking price. most Importantly, this fee is not itemized. How do I know what exactly they did to the car? Or are they just throwing random numbers? Military and Loyalty Fee-$1000 or as they referred it to as rebates. If I am not active military I am expected to pay $500, and if I do not finance DIRECTLY with them, I have to pay a loyalty fee of $500. Ive concluded that the reasoning of this absurd mark up was to compensate for the amount of money they pay on maintenance and HOLDING CHARGES(what they pay to hold a Car in their lot). This car has been in the lot since September 26, 2022, almost 3 months. the sales rep and Sales Rep manager(Craig) were extremely rude and nasty and just kept giving false information to justify their outrageous mark ups. Only deal Craig offered was to take off the $1000 "rebates" IF we financed through them. Their mark up on the interest rate would have probably been absurd as well. DMV-$350. I live in New Jersey, Car registration for this car would be $44.50 and title of $60. So are they telling me $239.50 is going just towards plates? (plus the sales rep said that can change and go up) Once again, none of these fees were itemized. I offered to pay $10,000 + taxes and fees And all I got was a "Good bye". They chose not to negotiate these ILLEGITIMATE fees, Craig went back to his back office hollering some extremely rude comments with the other managers, and the sales rep even followed me to the door to make sure that I did not walk out w the paper that had all these irrational numbers. The sales rep got all my information down before us even driving the car, but couldn't even let me take a piece of paper with my personal info on it. Prior to going to Lynne's I called the dealership in Paramus where I bought the car and dropped it off there because my mechanic said certain items that had to be done are still under warranty. That dealership wanted over $2000 in advance to "diagnose" the problems. I told them to just change the oil which is not under warranty. I went there to pick up the car and they didn't even change the oil. I brought the car to Lynne's and dealt with Izzy who was a very nice person to deal with. I had a very unpleasant experience with a salesman and I had to walked away after I felt taken advantage. After a nice conversation on the phone and plenty of good promises in regard my trade in, price set and sales taxes to another state different than NJ. I arrived to the showroom after driven 3 1/2 hours ready to seal the deal but from the very welcoming I noticed such unwelcoming environment. The salesman made comments that he wasn't willing to help me out on making sure taxes from MA instead of NJ are paid at the time of purchase. Also, be aware of their fine print of their cars advertised on their website before making any arrangements, prices certainly may go up about 30%. Parking there is a nightmare if you unfamiliar. They told us it had, so we drove an hour and a half to look at the vehicle. When we got there it was still damaged and they said they would not do anything to fix it. They have a terrible service center. The first time I went for the scheduled service - they performed an oil change and tire rotation but never performed the multi-point inspection. I received a postcard a week later telling me to schedule an appointment for it as a "recommended service". Fast forward to today. I called to come in for a tire replacement. They took down all my car info and told me if I can make it in within an hour they could help me. I show up and they tell me they don't have any tires in stock. Why would you not check prior to telling me to come in? The entire service operation at Lynnes Hyundai is a joke. read more

Tried to schedule an appoint for my 2020 Elantra after the check engine light went on with the service code DTCP045000after the Paramus Hyundai refused to make an appointment because they deemed my mileage too low. Indicated when making the appointment that I intended to remain at the dealership while the work was performed as I did not live within the shuttle area and reside about 30 minutes from the dealership/service center. After accepting the appointment, I was contacted and told that I could not wait at the dealership --- it wasn't an option available to me. They couldn't not adequately explain why so I've had to cancel the appointment. Second bad experience with Hyundai service centers in that area. read more

My car has been in the shop on a warranty repair since 2.23. I have not received one return phone call, and have rather left messages twice last week, with no return call. I was scheduled to move out if state on March 1. I still have no confirmation on my repairs as of March 8. You guys need to fix this broken system. My family and I are longtime customers of the Lynnes dealerships, going back to my mom's Infiniti leased in ~1999. My dad leased a Nissan in ~2014. I leased two Nissans in 2013 and 2016, and leased then purchased my current Hyundai in 2019, all from Lynnes. I am still under the full 5-year warranty for that Hyundai and called today to inquire about service as my malfunction indicator light has been on since Nov. 24. I was told that the next available appointment to get the problem diagnosed - never mind repaired - is Dec. 12. I cannot go weeks without a car - who can in this day and age? Right off the bat, the warranty Hyundai promises has several hurdles to using it, including the ability to wait several weeks for an appointment. I ended up speaking with Paul Rubin. Paul is the most disgusting, disrespectful, rude person I have encountered in a very long time. He let me get out a few words - but not without saying "uh huh" and "mhm," trying to rush me - before refusing to let me speak and repeatedly talking over me. I told him I was not done speaking. He continued speaking over me. I then said to stop talking until I was finished, and he said "I will not stop talking." For the remainder of our fruitless conversation, he continued to speak over me, in an apparent quest to prove that he is just as much of a jerk as I initially thought. Point proven! Paul's tone was nasty and dismissive. He told me that if I have been bringing my car to "another dealer" for oil changes and service in the last 4.5 years, then to just go there instead. He was condescending, saying I "didn't understand" whatever he was trying to explain. Ironically, but not surprisingly given I didn't perceive him to be of especially high intelligence, he was the one who did not understand - he would not let me get a word in edgewise to explain that 1) I have had no "service" done to this car - it was purchased brand new in 2019 and due to the pandemic, has far fewer miles than it otherwise would have - other than oil changes; 2) I have never brought my car to another dealer for any reason; 3) so what if I have? I can bring it wherever I want; and 4) where I have brought my car for oil changes has nothing whatsoever to do with needing service now. I don't need to be afraid to get an oil change in my town because then the dealership/Paul might tell me to take a hike when I need to schedule a potential warranty service. Who has ever heard of that? I am certain that he was able to tell over the phone that I am both young and a woman, and as such, felt comfortable speaking that way to me. There is no doubt in my mind that he would not talk over a middle aged man the way he did to me. The conversation was immensely stressful and I was in tears by the end of it. I don't need to experience that kind of aggravation just to try to schedule a car repair. Paul needs to get with the times and the program. It is 2023 and no one, least of all younger women, has to put up with a grouchy, misogynistic old man talking down to us and talking over us. For lack of a better description, Paul is a pig. I can assure Lynnes that neither anyone in my family nor I will be patronizing these dealerships again, and I will be sharing this experience with anyone I encounter who plans to visit one of their dealerships. If this is the kind of "service" provided by their service departments, and the type of person they allow to be customer-facing, then I will not be spending another dollar of mine there. I thought the days of needing my fiancé or father to call on my behalf were over, but apparently at Lynnes, they are not. read more

First the service department is horrible Thomas lies about what needs to be done and was very rude and made me as a female feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. it was supposed to be a quick oil added to my truck and it took 2 and a half hours of my dad that i had to be late to work because of how long it took. It was a absolute horrible experience everytime I have been there. I was waiting with a man who just bought a brand new car from them 4 months ago and was there every 2 weeks getting it serviced. Not to mention the woman at the desk wear see through leggings that's disgusting and very unprofessional. What a pleasure it was dealing with the BDC department at Lynnes Hyundai. My experience started with the BDC (Internet sales) manager Scott. He was more than willing to give me a price over the phone and negotiating without requiring me to go into the dealership. To me, that is what an Internet sales experience SHOULD be about. I shouldn't be told by a BDC member that I have to go into the dealership to receive a price to lease a vehicle. He then passed me along to Pam who is a BDC agent. When I realized they didn't have the '22 Tucson Limited that I wanted, she would text me when they had new inventory to see if I was interested in the color. When she told me they only had the two grays, I was a little leary. She made a very good point about I can't make a judgement on the color without seeing them in person. So, last Saturday I went in to see Portofino Gray and Amazon Gray. My pleasant experience continued when she passed me along to a sales agent named Axel. First, he showed me the two different gray colors. I couldn't tell the difference because of the sun so he explained the difference. Once I decided I liked Portofino gray, he asked if I took the Tucson on a test drive. I told him I didn't and he said "Let's get you in it and see how it drives." After I told Axel that I liked the color and LOVED the Tucson, the next step was very easy. I was told by another dealership that once I got to Lynnes they would change the deal with made. I am VERY happy to let you know that the numbers were all the same, they didn't try to deceive me. I drove off the lot in about an hour later with my new '22 Tucson Limited with the price that Scott and I originally agree on. So, please do yourself a favor and go to Lynnes Hyundai for your next vehicle. If you prefer Internet sales, ask for Pam and if you prefer to go into the dealership, ask for Axel. My mother went to buy a car and offered full price. The dealership came out with a sales receipt $4,000 above the advertised sticker price. One of the fees was. $2,700 paint protection plan. They refused to sell us the car without these add-one. This should be investigated and I plan to file a complaint with NJ state regulatory agencies. read more

Waited 16 days for an appointment. Was told by the appointment-booker that there was a drop-box and I could leave my car 'right outside' before opening time. Received a text confirmation of the appointment. Arrived Friday 12/17 at 6:15 am. No drop-box. Left key on front door with note. Received a text from the service rep at 8:14 am confirming receipt of the car. Got a call at about 9:45 which I missed. Returned the call and left a message, which I followed up with a text at 10:30. No reply to either. Sent another text at 12:25. No answer to any of these contact attempts. Got a call from the 'service' rep at 2:53 telling me my car was 'on schedule for tomorrow'. So. I spent over $50 on Uber rides from Lynne's to work and back, waited 15 days for an appointment, was pretty much ignored by the staff, and there was no regret from the staff whatsoever when I arrived on Friday afternoon to pick up my not-repaired car. Will never, ever return to Lynne's. Which is too bad because I plan to buy a new Hyundai in the early spring. read more

Looks like I should have read the reviews before choosing to have my recalls repaired here. I scheduled to have 3 major recalls repaired 3 weeks before a family road trip. The appointment means nothing. The car sat in the shop the entire day only for me to be told that they didn't have the parts. What? I gave my VIN when I made the appointment. They should have been able to see what parts were needed. Rescheduled for the following week. The parts were to be in.... My car sat in the shop the ENTIRE day. No work done. Two hours travel time lost going back and forth and waiting in the shop. I rescheduled for a third day the following week. I brought the car in first thing in the morning on Monday. Izzy was very helpful getting me a loaner, except that the girl who does the loaners was late, making ME late for work. Again. He grinned when I asked if she was hungover. "It'll be ready at 3:30". I call at 4:30. "It'll be ready at 5:30". Ok, I'm coming in at 5:30. "It'll be ready in a half hour." A real half hour? Or a longer. "A real half hour." A half hour later... "I have some bad news. We ordered the wrong part. We couldn't tell until we started working on it." What??? You don't know the part number? Never, ever use this place. They will BS you up the wazoo. I literally wasted 3 days and over 6 hours of time to get recalls repaired. They lied to me outright about when and which recalls were done. I am stuck driving a car with non-functioning tail lights due to a recall issue that this dealership is effectively refusing to repair. I will have to pay for an extra night in a hotel so that I can safely drive my family home from my road trip. I have spent nearly an entire workday just bringing my car in and dealing with these people. If this place represents Hyundai, then Hyundai should be targeted for a lawsuit for negligence on recalls. Update: I was told to come in on Labor Day to have everything finished up. The service department was closed Labor Day. Brianna sent her standard reply to complaints directing me to contact the manager. I sent him an email on Monday, Sept 4. It is Friday, September 8, and I have still not heard back from him. read more
