Waited 16 days for an appointment. Was told by the appointment-booker that there was a drop-box and I could leave my car 'right outside' before opening time. Received a text confirmation of the appointment. Arrived Friday 12/17 at 6:15 am. No drop-box. Left key on front door with note. Received a text from the service rep at 8:14 am confirming receipt of the car. Got a call at about 9:45 which I missed. Returned the call and left a message, which I followed up with a text at 10:30. No reply to either. Sent another text at 12:25. No answer to any of these contact attempts. Got a call from the 'service' rep at 2:53 telling me my car was 'on schedule for tomorrow'. So. I spent over $50 on Uber rides from Lynne's to work and back, waited 15 days for an appointment, was pretty much ignored by the staff, and there was no regret from the staff whatsoever when I arrived on Friday afternoon to pick up my not-repaired car. Will never, ever return to Lynne's. Which is too bad because I plan to buy a new Hyundai in the early spring. read more

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. Their service department is deplorable. My 2023 Palisade needed relatively simple repairs and a detail after being stolen. For 6 weeks I had to call daily after being promised for weeks that it "would be done in a day or two." When I finally got the car back- the repair to the roof control panels looked terrible. The fabric of the roof was sticking out from the sides of the panels. There was grease and grime all over the fabric from where they touched to do the repairs. I don't understand how you give someone back their brand new car after a month and half in that condition. When I brought the car back to have them fix their mistakes this morning it was promised back to me in the same day but I guess I should've known that would also be a lie. So here I am CAR-LESS after almost 2 months of dealing with their incompetence. Do yourself a favor and take it to another dealer or literally any other hole in the wall bodyshop would be better than this place. read more

I do not like this place and I did not purchase a car from them. I spoke to the internet sales rep and set up an appointment. I went to the dealership the very next day to see the car only to be told that it had sold. Also, they did not want to give me the price that I saw on truecar. The salesman offered to show me another car which the same car that I originally wanted but it had 20,000 more miles. I agreed and waited. He came back saying that the car had been sold as he was talking to me about it. He said that he had two more cars that were from 2019 and started at 19,000 each. Very disappointed with their service this time around. I was getting a complimentary oil change which I had bargained at the point of sale on my car. Despite the long wait they do have a small but nice seating area I side with what I think to be a 60 inch T.V. Knowing I needed wipers I asked on the pricing and whether they honored other Hyundai dealers coupons (after all I am standing in a Hyundai dealer getting serviced) At the time Tom who is at the front desk of service said yes. He explained we would need to walk to the back of the dealership to where their service n parts were located to purchase the wipers. When we went back there the guy working the counter who I believe said he was the manager of service had no clue according to him that he has never been asked about honoring coupons or how to process one. WHAT!!! Was I hearing things? Hmmmm...ok...so we asked if there was anyone he could call and he did. Apparently the person at the other end said NO. Now this is when it really gets good....When I asked him who did he just speak to his response was Tom...Ummm...wait...Hmmm....did you say Tom....same guy up front who said they honored the coupons and all of the sudden they don't. Smh....Talk about running a place backwards. So now it gets better. Their excuse was that the other Hyundai located on route 23 who had the coupon special for 2 wipers for $19.95 must be selling after market wipers which they did not carry. Oh really....Ooook...so we purchased one blade just to get it over with and instead of handing it to one of the mechanics standing behind him and where my car is located he stated I should take it back to Tom up front so he can give it to the mechanic who was gonna change it. Oooo boy....nothing seems seamless anymore and absolutely makes ZERO SENSE. The final straw that broke the camels back was a complimentary car wash comes with your oil change. Good right? They even take your car to the car wash before handing over to you ...niiiice....right?? Like they have done every single time in the past...not to shabby right? Well Tom upon giving me back my keys states I could stop at the car wash to have MY CAR WASHED..lol....Ok whatever happen to service...GOOD Customer service. I have Influenced a total of 3 people to buy cars from Hyundai. I have been loyal during my second round of leasing but it seems this dealer is losing their edge on customer service and competing more with The Ringling Barnum & Bailey Circus. Terrible experience with the service dept. Dropped my car off Friday to get a faulty worm gear replaced. At the end of the day get a call saying the tech couldn't get the old one out, going to replace the entire steering column instead, just need the approval from Hyundai. Ok, no big deal. Was supposed to get a call back from service Sat, nothing. Monday comes, I have to keep chasing them. Finally I'm told it will be overnighted and by Weds they should have the part. Call today, surprise surprise it's "coming by truck from California". Seriously, UPS makes trucks that can fly now? I've had NO car for six days. Do they have loaners? Nope. When it comes to honoring warranty issues, Lynne's Hyundai's customer service is typical and indicative of the other Hyundai dealerships in my area and perhaps of the Hyundai company. We have a 2019 Tucson, and the engine problems and recalls are not recent news. These are well known problems (high oil consumption due to metal fragments in the engine, prematurely failing catalytic converters, and recently as of November 2022, connecting rod bearing failures). Lynne's was assigned by Hyundai corporate to resolve the Catalytic and oil consumption issues when other dealerships played the same game that Lynn's is now playing. The oil consumption tests were ongoing with the latest iteration of adding dye to the engine to "look for leaks". Now the connecting rod bearing issue has come home to roost. The knock sensor was triggered, and the car went into "limp mode" and is not drivable. We were given an appointment for two weeks, with no consideration for the fact that the car must be towed in. Speaking with the older gentlemen at the customer service desk, his attitude was "the appointments are the appointments" and there is no room on our lot. For full disclosure, I am not proud of the yelling I did or language I used after hearing how callous he was. One young lady did try to expedite but to no avail. The attitude of the service center of Lynne's Hyundai shows a lax ethic and people who do not stand behind the warranties of the products they sell. The manager, Dave Walsh, is never around when you need to speak to him. Lynnes treats working people who need their cars like an inconvenience. We did not cause these warranty issues, Hyundai's poor production did. And if you are happy to take people's money to buy these cars, you should be happy to expedite service when these cars fail due to warranty issues. read more

Vehicle can NOT be bought for advertised price (plus tax, tags, title). Savvy buyers only! While they are personable and charming people, keep sharp to continue reviewing deal terms at every instance. They draw out the time to gently bend the deal increasingly in their favor, which does not meet the customer need. A customer could easily be lead astray and locked into an unfavorable contract. Even mid-contract writing they will continue to bend the deal in their favor. Shocking! It feels deceptive. It evidences not valuing customer relationship. A word of caution to the consumer, don't sign anything or feel forced into any contract that doesn't suit your needs. Be wise, prepared, and use caution. read more

I really don't know where to start We purchased a vehicle from here in 2018 and purchased a warranty from Chris. In 2019 I decided to trade that car in for a truck due to the Sonata not meeting expectations in the snow and leased a truck from elsewhere. On or about the last week of November I went canceled my warranty since I didn't use and chris did all the paperwork aNd stated one or 2 weeks I will have a check ( which was a pretty substantial amount. In beginning of February I walkeD in because nobody called back after several messages. Chris again stated "not sure what's going on. I have to send an email upstairs. Total BS. This review is of Lynnes Hyundai Service Dept., David J. Nash, Service Manager. David is a smooth talker who will screw you royally !!! Be on guard. He trains his service reps to lie, cheat, and steal !!!! Last year, at the beginning of the winter, I had a brand new, high end battery installed at a Mavis Tire Center. Two weeks later, I had taken my vehicle to Lynnes Hyundai for the 60,000 mile scheduled maintenance service. The cost was $500. David's people informed me that my battery was no good and needed to be replaced at a cost of an additional $150.00. They could not provide me any reports or backup so I took the car back to Mavis. The Mavis mechanic, put the battery on the meters and showed me that everything was fine. This battery started my vehicle up with plenty of power on all those zero degree mornings we had this last winter. They also put my two brand new tires on the front of my SUV. And put my worn two tires on the rear. Who does this except incompetent fools !!!! Then they offered me a discounted wheel alignment if I would redo my survey of my recent experience at their shop. David wanted to win an award and my survey was not helping him. My seatbelt also needed replacement which they never did. They told me that they couldn't duplicate the problem. They wound up making me a deal. If I redid my survey with high ratings, they would put my good tires back on the rear, and replace my seat belt. I agreed. This year, the engine went bad at 85,000 miles. Even though it's covered under warranty, along with a loan a car, or rental vehicle, David's people and David himself refused to honor my certified Hyundai Pre Owned Warranty. When I showed up for my scheduled confirmed appointment, David yelled across the floor to come into his office, then explained that he was under no obligation to service my vehicle. I asked him to call Corporate Hyundai. He refused to do so, and threw me out of the dealership Service Dept. Extremely unprofessional and rude !!!!!!! NEVER GET YOUR VEHICLE SERVICED HERE !!!!! I wound up taking my vehicle to City World Hyundai in the Bronx. Great experience. Engines are back ordered. But they gave me a Hertz rental vehicle at no charge. Our dealer offered us Sonata Limited(with the package we wanted) at very decent price after negotiation. Me and my husband are very happy with our purchase. All the paper work they did in just 24 hours. Although they offered a little high ROI but thats the lowest we can get from anywhere. The staff is polite and the managers were very friendly. They gave us 5 test rides before finalizing the car. We got the car in 2 days(first day- we came for checking out, got decent price, took the test drives, bought the car with some down payment. I have had nothing but problems with this hyundai. I got an engine recall in August 2016, I was told they can't do anything to fix it until my car literally dies... Fast forward to September 2018 my car finally dies and they fix it after almost 4 weeks. Brand new engine! No more air conditioner though. This is the worst car dealership I have even been to!! I bought a CPO Elantra from this dealership and I have had nothing but problems. The car is shaking when stopped at red lights, apple play is freezing up, the trunk opens spontaneously, and paint is chipping off in random spots. The first time I brought it in for service, it sat in the dealership for 8 hours (I called twice and no one answered) because someone "made a mistake" and needed to book me for a different type of service appointment. No one apologized and they were hostile when I tried to ask for another appointment with a loaner. After 4 weeks of waiting (they told me it would take 7-10 days), I finally got a loaner car and dropped mine for service. I got a call the next day saying they could not identify anything wrong and that if I did not pick up my car by the end of the day, they would bill me for the loaner. I tried to reach out to the manager Sam (I called 7 times and spoke to his secretary 4 times), and I was promised a call back, but he never did. Extremely unprofessional, dismissive and rude towards the customer. Fast forward 2 months and I get a call saying there was a "discrepancy" with the title of my trade-in. I was told it was my legal responsibility to pick up the paperwork from the dealer, drive to the DMV, pay a fee, then drive back to the dealership. I tried to explain to the agent that I did not understand what he was telling me and why it was my job to do this. He threatened to sue me over this! I had to go in person to speak with the manager (because he wouldn't answer the phone), and no one seemed to know what was going on. A week later I called to cancel the gap insurance, and no one would help me because the dealership was making money off of this. Again, I had to go in person and sign the form (that the manager promised to fax me twice but never did). In the middle of a conversation with me, the manager got up and walked out. This is not how a dealership should be run. The staff are rude and uncaring, and the customer is thrown around. Even if the cars are cheap, save yourself the time and stress and go anywhere else. read more

I had a service appointment at 9:30 and I also have a Rim and Tire package that was purchased when I bought my car. I was told I could bring it to ANY Hyundai service department for tire replacement. I took it to them and was turned away. They didn't check to see what was wrong with the tire they stated we don't patch tires. I brought it to that location because I needed to know what was wrong with the tire in the first place. The service employee TOM was rude and belligerent spoke down to me as if I don't know what I purchased. I stated to him we don't know what the problem is because you didn't even check out the tire. The experience was horrible and I will not now or ever go to Lynnes Hyundai because they are nasty and they act as if they don't want to do their jobs. Typical sleezy dealership. They try every trick ever invented to rip you off. DO NOT GO unless you have a week to negotiate. After 3 days of negotiation, the salesperson gives me a price that I like. Then the manager comes and says he cant do it. I leave. The next day the manager calls and says he changed his mind. I go back in and as Im signing the papers, they add all kinds of taxes and fees and we're back to the higher price. I leave again. The manager (I think he might be the owner actually) literally runs outside and follows my car out of the parking lot still negotiating. Staff was very rude and did not listen to my queries. Charged $5000 for repairs that included car seat cleaning, detailing, vacuum and gave me the vehicle with muddy floor with glass shards. Very unprofessional staff. Also entered double the actual mileage in service record (shows the level of attention to detail). Manager denies to entertain answering any question on the service performed saying we did it without verifying what was done. Repair took 2 months and was very unsatisfactory. Called every other week to know the status and it was really hard to get someone on phone. They keep passing on phone line to each other or either they put you on long holds or disconnect the line. If you are lucky to get hold of someone on phone, they promise to call back and never call back. Zero courtesy and respect for a customer. If you are lucky after hours of trying on phone, They will promising a new date every week and kept on pushing it week after week with an excuse. I lost my husband to COVID-19 in April. After he passed I purchased a dream car that I know he would have loved. It was an emotional time and still is for our children and for me. I was told by the dealership sales guy there was a delay on license plates being produced due to the pandemic. Months went by from July to December. I hear nothing from the sales agent. Then December I get ticket on my car. Turns out they called once in November and had the plates and registration. They had been holding the plates since then with no follow up call until I inquired in December. They will not pay the ticket because they called "once" within the month they had my plates. I thought this was the height of poor customer service given they had multiple opportunities (the sales guy had my e-mail and had texted me prior) to reach out during an objectively difficult time for most people, particularly after experiencing a loss. I would not recommend anyone to Lynnes Hyundai. They are clearly out for the dollar and lack any sense of human decency. read more

We were so excited for our daughter who decided to go to Lynne's to purchase her first car. After test driving a cute Elantra she was ready to buy. She did hear a humming noise when the AC and heat was turned on but was told service would take a look. We called and scheduled a 7pm appointment to complete the paperwork. We got there at 7pm and proceeded to wait over an hour. No one ever came to help us. We were not even offered a bottle of water while we waited. We watched as a bunch of staff gathered in a back room. It was clear they were not busy. It was extremely frustrating that we were not given the respect and service we deserved. We finally got up and left, extremely frustrated by the complete lack of customer service. I loudly expressed my thoughts as we left. My daughter really wanted this car so after a few days, we decided to "let it go" and try again. We were then told it was sold. I asked about another car and was told Carlos would call me back. I had to call three more times before I finally got through to him. Carlos tells us that the other car is available however the advertised price is actually $1,000 more. I asked him to explain how and advertised price went up $1,000. Carlos told me the advertised price is only for loyal customers and military. We shopped our butts off for a new car and liked a few different models. It was always going to come down to the most car for the money but a pleasant experience came as an unexpected surprise. We've met all kinds of sales people in all kinds of dealerships in NY and NJ. From people that are rude and know little about their vehicles to others that come off as genuine, knowledgeable and helpful. Doug Summers at Lynnes Hyundai made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and that also goes for our 15 month old daughter which can be a handful when car shopping. Doug knew what to show us and understood we had also done our homework. There was no BS, no trying to put us in a car we didn't belong in. He brought us to exactly what we asked for and knows what he sells because he drives what he sells too. How many times have you asked a question of the salesperson for them to look back at you blankly or attempt to read it for you off the window sticker? Not Doug! If you can find a better deal elsewhere, go get it but we did well here and couldn't be happier with the service. read more
