After purchasing my vehicle, I returned to discuss concerns I had about my financing and the paperwork because I believed certain fees and charges had not been clearly explained before I signed. Rather than working with me to understand my concerns or explore possible solutions, the conversation with the Sales Manager escalated. During our discussion, he abruptly stood up and told me, **"Get your ass out of my office."** I was then asked to leave before we could have a productive conversation. Fortunately, after waiting, I was able to speak with the Finance Manager, who treated me respectfully. He took the time to review the paperwork with me, explain the financing in detail, and show me what could have been removed. I genuinely appreciated his professionalism and willingness to answer my questions. In my opinion, the sales process can be confusing, especially during the final paperwork. My advice to anyone considering purchasing a vehicle here is to slow down, carefully review every document, ask about every fee and charge, and make sure you fully understand the terms before signing anything. I'm sharing only my personal experience so other potential customers can make an informed decision. Buying a vehicle is one of the biggest financial commitments most people will ever make, and I believe every customer deserves transparency, professionalism, clear explanations, and respect throughout the entire process. Bought a car from them in April 2026. Horrible experience from the door! They told me to come in to see the car and when I got there, the car wasn't there. The GSM took it without telling anyone. Few days later came back to finalize the sale and during the transaction had a family emergency and told them I would return to finish. Instead of honoring that, they took advantage of my emergency and rushed my sale. I take accountability on my part for not taking the time to read through everything. The car was for sale for $27k, they added over $10k worth of junk to line their pockets and now I'm financing $42k. I requested info from all the financing companies that ran my credit and already attained an attorney. Also, contacted them within the first 30 days about the vented seats not working which is covered under the warranty and the additional crap they added to my loan all for Doug to tell Mike that it's not covered and for me to take it to Dodge. Lied to me when they said the Palisade Calligraphy I was purchasing had never been painted as the trunk door had been damaged and painted over. The prices online are fake and they will force you to pay for protection that does nothing. Also sneakily added an extra $100 onto the final price tag to fill their pockets a little more. If you do purchase a car here I'd recommend taking the loan to your bank after the first payment to avoid the ridiculous APR they force you to take from their bank. I was only told about the doc fee, etching, and title fee -- which is fairly typical (minus the questionable etching fee). After pressing for a detailed breakdown, Peter finally sent one over, but only then did I learn about a nearly $2,000 "reconditioning" fee for used vehicles. When questioned, he shifted the blame on me for not being "clear enough" about whether I was looking at new or used. Frankly, it's obvious that a 2022 model with 30k miles is used -- this felt like a classic bait-and-switch tactic to get me into the dealership without disclosing the true cost. To make matters worse, I later discovered there's also a $1,000 surcharge if I chose to finance through my bank or pay cash, which was never mentioned up front. This lack of transparency wasted my time and made it clear they do not prioritize honest dealings. Hyundai issued a warranty for my vehicle due to the white paint peeling. I brought my car to Lynn Hyundai, where they confirmed it was covered--but I still had to pay $550, with the rest supposedly covered by Hyundai. Fine. Then came the real nightmare. They kept my car for three weeks without offering a replacement vehicle. And after all that time, they returned my car with the damage still there! There were still visible paint chips, and they didn't even touch the hood. What was the point of all that waiting? The lack of communication, poor customer service, and overall incompetence at Lynn Hyundai in Bloomfield made this entire experience horrible. Now, I have to bring my car back AGAIN to fix what should have been done right the first time. If you need Hyundai service, I highly recommend avoiding Lynn Hyundai. I had called Lynne's about the issues with the car but they were dismissive and didn't care but they enjoyed when I paid for the vehicle. Worst experience I have ever had with a car dealership. I took my 2011 Hyundai Sonata to take advantage of their Spring Maintenance Package and request to have my air conditioner charged. I was told it would be ready by 2 or 3pm. I remained on the premises the entire time. At about 2 o'clock the young man comes out to inform me everything was done except they needed to do a diagnostic test to see why the air conditioner was not taking the charge after 2 tries. After another 2 hours (I was there from 10:00am, appt was 10:15am) I was told I would not be charged the $299 for the ac charge since they had not resolved the issue because the condensor needed to be replaced and I would be contacted with a quote of the cost to fix it. So I paid $309 for the diagnostic and the maintenance package. this was Monday 5/11, today is Wednesday 5/13 I have not received any contact. I took it a mechanic today who said the condensor is bad but the dealership exacerbated the problem by putting too much freon in the car. When you have an oil change done don't you usually get a window sticker telling when the next oil change is due. I did not get one. read more

I typically go to Lynnes Hyundai for service on my leased Santa Fe. It is located in a pretty busy area of Bloomfield, so getting in and out of the parking lot can be a bit difficult sometimes. I have never had issues with any service done here and they typically have more appointments available than other nearby dealerships. The services are usually done within the time period given and I have always received good service from the people at the service counter. The waiting area is about what you would expect. A couple of chairs and a TV. They also have a charging station. There have been issues with the wifi there a few times I was waiting. read more

Service department should get 0 starts if possible. Messed up a simple oil change, leaking oil everywhere after. Had no idea until people called me said I was leaking oil in there driveways. I had to pay to clean the driveways. Brought it back for them to fix the oil. They messed up the car when they put it on the lift. Heard a clicking after. Brought it back to get checked, they said they checked into it, said nothing was wrong. Brought it back again because I knew something was wrong. Wound up being extremely serious and threatening to my life. Not only did they do the damage, to cover their wrong doing they first told me nothing was wrong. So they let me drive with the damage and I could have lost control of my car at any moment. Worst of all, they do not care about there customers. Didnt even care they put my life in danger. I had interest in a CPO Tucson I had seen online. I made an appointment and went with my wife to see the car. The sales rep, Matt Zarcone, was very personable, and took us to see the car, which I really liked. When we got back to his desk, he brought the car up on his computer, and the price was $1000 higher that what I had seen on their website. We started talking numbers, and Matt brought up something called Bundlemax, which he explained was a service which would fix dents, dings and paint damage for three years with no deductible. He did not mention that there was a cost for this coverage, and I was left with the impression that this service was free. (Silly me!!) When the sales manager (whose name I don't remember) came out with his numbers, I reviewed them, and I first saw that the price had been lowered to what I has seen on the website. But then I saw there was a $5294 charge for "Accessories". In tiny print lower down, it said that the "Accessories" were Bundlemax for $4995, and "Etch" for $299. I told them that I didn't need or want the Bundlemax, and I would rather pay to repair any minor dings and dents on my own, and anything bigger could go through my insurance. They told me that they could not remove the Bundlemax. I also complained about the charge for the etching, as that was done when the car was new, and had already been paid for by the original owner. At that point, I knew that I was not buying a car there. The sales manager had the keys to my car in his office, as he had had someone take a look at it for trade-in purposes. Rather than bring out my keys when he brought out the numbers, he left my keys in his office, insuring that I would have to stay and talk with him instead of just getting up and walking out. Right away, my wheels were damaged. The person who removed the stickers scratched my wheels with some rough object. That was the first issue, and I already realized something was wrong with this dealer. The second issue: a month has passed, and I still haven't received my license plates. My temporary plates have expired. I bought this car specifically for Uber, and now I can't go to work. I'm losing my income. It's unknown when I will receive my plates. Complete rip off don't get any work done here. My car was making noise when I press the gas. I wasn't sure if it was a engine issue so only came here incase it was figured the dealer would be best to check warranty. They checked my car and gave me a report of like 10 items upwards of like $3,000. When I questioned them about items they said oh yeah we don't check we just give recommendations for things based on high mileage. So that was red flag 1. Then I said what on here is causing the noise he said the spark plug and engine flush. I confirmed will that fix the rattling noise he said yes. I paid almost $1000 for it to be done. Once I got back in my car the noise still persisted I told them they had a "mechanic" do a ride along and I showed him the noise . He said oh yeah I heard that. That's just the timing belt because the car is high mileage (92k) so you need to put Lucas oil. So the main reason for my brining my car yall didn't fix. Charged me for BS and couldn't even do the basics of putting "Lucas or whatever it is oil" to stop the noise I came in for? Which I don't even believe that as the mechanic had no clue what he was talking about when I questioned him on other things. So now I have to take my car to a real mechanic to get it checked and fixed after this place wasted my time and ripped me off. Stay far away. They are clueless scammers. read more

I was at Lynne's recently to buy a TTS that was listed at 23,500 online. I came an hour and 45 minutes to test drive it and I thought to buy it. When getting there and putting in an offer maybe $1,000 less than listing price they told me after fees it would be a little over $31,000. I don't know any dealership that would ever add $7,500 of fees and taxes onto a sale. I asked for a detailed readout which was given to me very hesitantly and brought by a manager. He explained that there was a $4,000 "service fee" that the car HAD to be sold with. It is known that forcing someone to buy a service fee or warranty on top of their car sale is very frowned upon legally. The manager also kept asking what we could do about that number and if we could split it knowing I should not have to pay it at all. Scummy sales team and managers. I needed to replace my car and went to Lynnes because they advertised the used car that I wanted. They bait and switched me and tricked me into paying 9k more than I agreed to. They are disreputable and dishonest. I did not learn about their scam until I heard from the PNC bank. I asked for paperwork several times and did not get it until 9 days after the sale when I went into the finance office and brought the issue to the managers attention. I was given the run around 3 times when requesting it.. Ernie the finance guy told me that he was not happy about what had happened, that he would not want to run into me in public given the knowledge of what was done to me and assured me that he would resolve the issue. He then refused to see me when I returned and Casey and John managers told me that the nearly 9,000 trade in was gone, they would give me $25k for the they charged me nearly $40k for (due to add ons that I did not ask for and was told that I get as included in the warranties ) so I am underwater with the bank in addition to the trade "being gone" where did it go .... and are they serious? Called in advance to discuss the fees on a certified preowned Kona, we were interested in. It was listed around 17k and the sales man I spoke with (Carlos) agreed he can work with me on securing it for $19.5k and made an appointment. Get there at the time of my appointment (after getting multiple texts to confirm), and Carlos is busy, understandable, as I'm waiting I get a call asking me why I didn't show up for my appointment (not a good start). I assured them I checked in over an hour ago and in fact standing in the lobby. That's when they assign another salesman, Zain. Typical bait and switch: of course the car I discussed over the phone isn't available and the promised priced was just to reel me in. Zain shows a couple other options around the same listed price and we choose one to look at. The car is *apparently* in a different lot so they drive us there (15 mins to get there, 10 minutes circling the lot, 15 minutes back), but they can't find the car. I tell him, if the car isn't here in 5 minutes we're walking as we've already been there close to two hours. He promises me the car will be here in 5 minutes, but starts talking pricing beyond what got me there at $19.5, something closer to $22k. At the same time pushing to sell me on a lease or trying to sell me the used BMW he drove us around in. I tell him, I'm not talking numbers without even seeing the car and how ridiculous it goes from $17k listed to $22k. Oh and apparently cash is no good because it'd be $1k more if we don't finance. We eventually walk because of the dishonesty and games. They keep you waiting around to wear you out so you'll just agree to a price to get out; do the opposite, leave or in fact waste more of their time. My partner went back a couple of days later and they gave some a bloated breakdown: $17,544 List +$3,294 Accessories (careful, this is where they make shit up: bottom says $2,995 Magnashield + $299 Etch; while on top they hand write $1,995 Prep Fee + $1,000 Cash Fee) +$258 Government Fee (last I checked plates was less than $10 and registration less than $60) +$999 Doc Fee +$1,446 Taxes $23,542 Out the Door Straight deceptions and lies. She presented herself as the rep for the car and texted me asking when I could stop by, which was the next day. At this point, I'm expecting to bring everything I need to buy this car. Unfortunately, that was not to be, but wasting my time was... I get to the dealership and ask for Maria. Immediately, the two guys at the front desk give each other a look and tell me that Maria only "really gets people in the door" and that THEY were the guys who I'd be working with. Already pissed off and turned off, but I figure I'll try to make it work. After speaking to the guys about a lot of basic bs, they play a very good acting role and tell me shockingly the car I came for was NOT in their lot, NOT even part of their company! AND they couldn't get it there, even tho they advertised on their website they COULD get delivery of the vehicle. And guess what comes next? "So anyway, do you see anything here you like?" I have been leasing Hyundai's from this location since 2014. I took my Elantra for its first oil change when their negligence left me on the side of the highway with oil pouring out of the car because they didn't tighten the plug. $465 later to tow it away, which service manager Dave promised they would reimburse me for, and i'm still waiting for the check in the mail 2 weeks later. On top of that, they never gave me a loner, I was out of a car for 3 days, and no communication from anyone at service. Never leasing from here again, nor recommend anyone else does. read more

I had gotten a check engine light on my brand new sonata. I was able to schedule an appointment with them the very next morning which is extremely convenient considering how backed up and delayed all these shops are. Before I even get into the review, I live in NYC, and was willing to take the trip to Jersey, and would do it again it was so amazing there. Into the service story, believe it or not my check engine light goes off before I got there, instead of not seeing me, they still took in the car, did a full diagnostic test and found out that an oxygen sensor was damaged. They ordered the part and I'm scheduled to go back in as soon as the part comes. Staff is incredibly nice and honest, April, greeted me and was extremely sweet and kind she reminded me of a mom figure she truly just is looking out for you and wants to help. This dealership is like a 5 star hotel, it's so clean and spacious, they had a super high tech coffee and tea machine, vending machines for snacks, free wifi, free charging station and T.V you can control. I was in and out under 2 hours, they scanned the car, found the issue, ordered the parts, I didn't pay a penny out of pocket, no having to argue with warranty or anything, truly amazing. 20/10 wish I could go more but I live to far, anytime I need serious maintenance though I'm going there. read more

(mind you it's now 3pm). we're on the phone with motor vehicles and you will be able to drive away with your car today. he comes back 1 hour later and i quote " oh something is still wrong so we will call you tomorrow". tomorrow is today and still no car. so now because my son became persistent, they became rude and even stop answering the phone. my son requested return his desposit and the money that he paid on the vehicle. he was told and i quote " we not going to return the money you paid monthly because you drove the car and put mileage on the vehicle". please make this make sense. he came to purchase a car to drive; you allowed him to sign documents and helped him find a bank to fiance the car. he drove off thinking that in 3 weeks he will have his plates and on to mind his business. the company (lynnes hyundai) failed to uphold their end of the contract so you deny the return of his money. when you fiance a car those fees are including in the contract (plates and registration). lynnes hyundai breached that contract!!!! now they want to buy the car back from the bank???? why because they know that all these months, they were scamming him. then they called and said and i quote " we will have everything figured out on friday the 26th. if you're looking to purchase a car run far away from this place. i will come back on the 26th to follow up with this review. his attorney will be contacting this place come monday!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! read more

We purchased a Hyundai in January 2024 from another store. It's been in the shop since then. Fought and fought to get the engine replaced, finally got it. Now it need a new catalytic converter. Buyer beware. They will used every shady negotiation tactic to get you. Offered them a price (pre taxes and fees) and they came down $1000 and told me my monthly payment would be $400, I asked them to come down $500 more, then he asked what my monthly budget was, BIG mistake. He came back and said ok I can get you there. I asked the final price and interest rate and he said well it's $369 a month and he said do we have a deal and dumb me trusted him and said ok. Then they kept me waiting 2 hours to go to finance. Then guess what, oops sorry the taxes were wrong it's $379/month. Ok I just want to go, then get the run around about all the extras, again confusion. Then pulls up the contracts on a digital board and doesn't explain anything and rushes me through to sign everything. I was exhausted and dumb and didn't questioning it. I get home and guess what. I was charged over $3000 over our discussed price and $2000 over the advertised price! I will be filing a complaint with the NJ Attorney general as well as the better business bureau for bait and switch tactics and automotive fraud. Run. Don't give these crooks your money. They have an F rating with the BBB for a reason. Oh and don't bother calling them when they comment on your post. I did that and never got a call back. read more
