    Crab cake lunch
    R M.

OMG this place has been at my work Farmer's Market for the last month now and originally I thought the prices were too steep for a Farmer's Market but the quality of the crabcake dish they provide is out of this world! Something about these jumbo crab cake sandwiches, mac and cheese, and sweet potato casserole has me losing my mind! Every week, I tell myself I am not going to do it and every week I am right back in line!

    Lynnette's crab cakes are AWESOME!!!

Lynnette's crab cakes are AWESOME!!! We knew their cupcakes were phenomenal, but this was our first experience with their crabcakes. They are so tender, juicy, and delicious! Best Crab Cakes EVER!!! We highly recommend Lynnette's for anything that they have to offer as far as food. They put their whole heart into it. The employees seem to be engaged in the business. They have Mastered both the categories of sweet and savory. http://www.cheflynnette.com

Sorry for the half eaten Mac and cheese pic but it was just so delicious I couldn't help myself!

It's not the same anymore...the crab cake is over seasoned...tastes too salty. hopefully they will go back to the old recipe.

I love Lynette's the most because the cream cheese icing isn't too sugary.

The food was absolutely delicious, with a wide variety of flavorful options that truly pleased the crowd. The presentation and overall setup were beautiful and added an elegant touch to the event. Chef Darryl was professional, organized, and a pleasure to work with throughout the entire process. The pricing was very reasonable, and he even offered a wonderful tasting prior to signing the contract, which gave us great confidence in our decision. I highly recommend A Family Affair Catering for any special occasion.

To consider this a legitimate "business" is laughable, just like their food. Arrived over an hour…read morelate to an event and instead of being apologetic, had an attitude. Dinner was for 25 + people and there was barely enough food for 12. Not that this mattered, as EVERYTHING was inedible and there were no plates, cutlery or napkins provided. I take that back, the store brought $2.00 (price still on) cornbread and $16.00 cake were the ONLY items edible. The Mac and Cheese was dry and bland. I will give them credit for it being both overcooked and undercooked all in the same batch. I'm still trying to make sense of that! The only adjective that even remotely describes this Mac and Cheese is "disrespectful". Like, seriously, the disrespect was 10/10. The chicken was undercooked and bland. How do you make jerk chicken bland and soggy? I'm actually curious. The "blackened" salmon was overcooked yet not blackened, creating another "make it make sense" moment. I immediately spat out the greens. They were undercooked, not under-seasoned but literally "not seasoned". Wait, I take that back too, if you count the dirt and grit as seasoning. They should be ashamed of themselves for ripping people off. Pictures don't lie. The fact that they were sent pictures and still stood behind their product tells you all you need to know. Please, please, PLEASE do not let these people ruin your event and more importantly your special moments and memories. There are so many other respectable and legitimate Black-owned catering companies i.e. Ohhs and Ahhs, Henry's, Hitching Post.

We reached out very early on in the planning process and spoke with Diego about our preferences for the menu and ideal price point. He was very understanding--particularly of our desire to keep a tight budget--and prompt to schedule a tasting for us. As soon as the tasting finished, we knew we would sign with TYTC for everything but dessert. The food was superb, not just run-of-the-mill wedding "fish and chicken," but flavorful and cooked to perfection. TYTC also has dozens of appetizer options, perfect for all cuisines and preferences. There was no issue adding items that were non-dairy and GF for several guests with dietary restrictions. In the months before our wedding, Diego was responsive and communicative. He led us know a few months before the wedding that he may need to be on travel...and could miss our wedding. This was only worrying when, after doing walkthroughs (x2), questions kept popping up that we had already answered about décor, timeline etc. Fortunately, Diego handed us off to his colleague Paola who has an extensive background in weddings. Paola was a delight to work with on our wedding day, and managed her team professionally. (They even brought us food/drinks while we were taking photos after the ceremony!) Our guests loved the food, so minus the few stressful hiccups in the final weeks, we're very happy we spent the money to use TYTC.
