Their cakes and pastries are consistently delicious, and in the 15+ years I've been ordering from them, I have never been disappointed. The staff is always attentive, professional, and friendly. They do have pretty fresh and appealing looking pastries for reasonable prices, but on top of them being a touch too sweet for my personal tastes, I find their flavors, particularly their chocolate, lacking. I don't think they use high quality chocolate? So it just leaves the cakes and things a bit flat in flavor, imho. Every pastry I've tried, the flavors to me seem a bit off (could be cultural) and they just taste "sweet" more than anything, with no other flavor profiles. I think my pick out of the bunch would be their napoleon and everything else I just wouldn't bother. We were picking up pizza next door when we happened to stumble upon this little bakery, so of course we had to stop in! What awaited us was displays and displays of classic bakery items such as croissants, danishes, cookies, cakes, and more. Everything was beautifully decorated and even more surprising ... affordably priced! I got several cookies and two slices of cake (mocha and tres leches) for $12 and brought it home to our family who devoured everything immediately. The cakes were light and fluffy ... and a bit on the sweeter side but points for having mocha which is one of my favorite flavors of all time. I'll definitely be back! Been coming to Tiffanys since forever, forever being after i first tasted the black forest cake with strawberries eons ago and asked my friends where they got the cake from because it was scrumpdelicious. Since then i have stuck to a few favorites we love and rotate for different birthdays mainly the strawberries black forest and the white chocolate cake. About a 1-1.5: I'm thinking that the Falls Church location is significantly better than their Annandale location, because the pastries/cakes sold here were just not edible. We picked up some cakes, cookies, and various pastries as part of an assortment box, but each and every item were stale, dried out, or super chewy - they were just not fresh. It was strange, because you'd think that this bakery continued to bump out fresh items with the number of patrons in there. I was doing some shopping nearby at one of the Big box hardware stores when I came upon this nice little bakery on the quiet side of the center. I was there right around 9am and there wasn't a sole in the store, and I had imagined that it must have been very busy earlier this morning. I ordered the cherry cheese Danish along with an Old Time Cherry Lime fruit drink. I took the Danish and fruit drink with me, and I can't decide which one is better. They have 2 locations and I like the Falls Church location just because they have a bigger selection and don't usually run out of cakes. They are always busy and have delicious selection of desserts. Wow, I'm surprised this place even has a single negative review, but I suppose you can find curmudgeonly folks even in a sweet bakery with a sweet staff! This is a mom and pop shop with two locations one in falls church and one in Annandale. You can find everything from pastries, cookies, to cakes here and you can find it fast! I frequent for last minute dessert cravings or gifts as they package everything up in a pretty white box. They have not figured out how to teleport cakes between the two locations or make custom cakes on the spot as the master baker probably floats between the two. I've ordered custom cakes from bakeries, it's a process. Design appointments take time to gather customers wants, design of the cake, then execution! Anyway, their cakes are amazing and our favorite is the tres leches and tiramisu. The apple pastries and angel wings are fantastic! You can't go wrong! They're always bustling with folks coming in and out. I've come in before closing and their staff are at work cleaning and disinfection the place. I really enjoy the white chocolate and fruit cakes. I've also tried their opera cake, eclairs, and napoleons. All are delicious! We place orders here for birthdays or other special occasions and have never had an issue. You can place orders over the phone or in store. Everyone that works here have been helpful and nice but sometimes it does get a little crazy in the store so try to go when they open (things also run out too)! I did not get buy my favorite type of cookie this time around, but the soft Oatmeal Raisin will be selected next time I am there. I noticed the the primary language here was Spanish, and this gave me a change to try out my Spanish. The lady switched to English and it was perfect too. Since she started talking to me in English, the rest of my order was in English. The lady (we'll call her Morgana) was polite, but she wasn't as talkative in English as she was in Spanish. I'm very upset with their service this is the second time I ordered a Napoleón fruit cake after I specifically told the that we are allergic to nuts and they still gave us a cake with almonds. Not only that this second time after they lied to my face when I placed the ordered to make sure they didn't put any. They gave me a normal cake that I could have gotten from a grocery store for not even half the price. Went in the store this morning and the manager is asking for me to bring the whole cake back after I explained we gave most of the cake away. 1/4 we cut all the nut exposed part and fed the guest that wanted some. Their Classic Napoleon is really good. I tried a Dark Chocolate Mousse - it was sweet but not chocolaty enough, and had less cream than I had imagine. In general, it is a good store with wide choice of pastries. The quesadilla again did not match my expectations of the flavour and texture, it was mostly bready and not enough cheesy. Also, it is always hot in the store, summer or winter, so it is not a place to read a book or study while enjoying some decadent cake with coffee. My husband and I were having some serious sweet tooth issues and stopped in for: a napoleon, a fruit tart, and a cherry turnover. The turnover was ok, but the napoleon and the fruit tart were outstanding. Napoleons are usually my standby, but I'm the fruit tarts to my list of favorites. As always, the napoleon was of the right sweetness and crispiness. The fruit tart was light and fresh, but the crust was a little bit harder than I expected. So I was fiending for Beanetics coffee and pulled in front of this bakery. I was in the bakery for no more than 5 minutes before I made my selections. It was that easy! I was looking for chocolate and came across their tortes. OMG they had quite the selection! so I chose the 4 that looked the most appealing (I was in a hurry). I got the fruit torte, the Opera, the Dark Chocolate and the Rum/Dark Chocolate ball. 4 of these tortes came out to be $10 for all 4. Not too bad. The sweetness was just right and the portions were a decent size. The lady behind the counter recommended the Opera for coffee lovers....and I do love my coffee....so I caved and got it.
