I brought an ignition in and wanted to get a key made due to weather lost the original and they were not able to get the lock cylinder out of the ignition housing so I took another Toyota key and juggled it to get the lock to turn and brought it back with tc just the piece they needed and they took all day and still charged me full price and I had to do half the work TERRIBLE PLACE TO DO BUSINESS ALSO MAKE IT SEEM YOU STOLE THE LOCK CYLINDER. I've had many keys made at Lynn's and have always been satisfied with the service and astounded by the locksmith knowledge. The cost of having keys made is nothing if you look at the cost of running a small business now days. Great service. My car wouldn't start but I knew it was key and anit-theft system issue. I called and they seemed to know exactly what was going on. I made an appointment for the next day. Really good place to get keys made. They had no issue cutting an OEM Toyota key I bought. When I called around everyone else was like "uh, no.. we only cut keys we sell". I will be back! Only thing that could be better is if they were open weekends but can't really fault them too much there. read more

The service was very fast and friendly. The guy got me out of there with two new (standard generic) keys in less than five minutes for only $4, and they both work perfectly. They didn't have the specific key I was looking for, but that's not really their fault since it's been discontinued. Other than that, the selection was pretty varied. Not as extensive as the photos on here indicate, but still very good. I would definitely go back there with any other key-copying needs that may arise. read more

I went to Lynn's after trying another similar locksmith and not getting much interest in making a key for a very rare 1940s VW car door lock, which I'd brought with me. I had one key but it didn't work well and had been crudely made years ago from an incorrect key blank. As soon as I walked through the Lynn's door, I knew I'd come to the right place... No less than three people started working on my issue (as it happened no other customers needed help at that moment) and through obvious team work, considerable detective work and enthusiasm they were able to figure out the right blank (an old Mercedes blank they had), the right code and make me three perfect keys with great equipment they have on hand! We have nothing but positive to say about this business. My wife lost the key to our 2013 Ford Edge. the dealer wanted $317.00 to make a new one. I found Lynn's on Annie's list. I called and was told the cost would be around $200.00. My wife showed up without an appointment and was done in less than 20 minutes. they also made duplicate keys for all the door locks that we had to replace. total cost for new car key and 5 duplicates for my house, $210.00. Both our front door locks were malfunctioning and we were able to get Lynn's locksmith here the next day. We had tried another locksmith who was recommended to us but when we found out the flat rate of $254 just for showing up was, we shopped around. Lynn's price was a less than a 4th of that. John was able to explain what the problem was and how he fixed it. Now they turn like butter, and the way a deadbolt should. And all for a very reasonable price. read more

I found it by Google search five minutes before close on a Friday. I called and asked if they could possibly wait an extra few minutes because I wasn't too far away and they said yes. Key making process was very quick. 1 Key worked the other I have to take back on Monday. I still would recommend them because the big name places that make keys have errors as well. I went in today to get a key made for my scooter ,for they told me at the dealer the tumblers were broken and only a locksmith could fix that. They quoted me $45 dollars to fix the broken tumblers and said it would take close to 3 hours. Not 40 minutes later i recieved a call saying it was finished and fixed, upon arrival they told me there was nothing wrong with the tumblers only a small piece of plastic inside the ignition switch. Something that should only take 5 minutes , for there are only 4 bolts securing the assembly. The lady at the desk smirked an said " Well i still had to dissassemble it, and it took me 1 hour" and continued to charge me $45. If the job quoted was not performed ,should the price not be lower? Angrily i just took my losses and left, upon inspection i noticed they stripped all of the bolts securing the assembly ,making it impossible to ever remove. I returned to the store and explained the problem only to get verbally assaulted by the same front counter lady. And i quote, she went on to say "the only problem is you are cheap" . The money was not the issue, it was the principles of doing the job right,and not overcharging customer. The manager came out, i explained the issue to her. She turned and asked the lady "did we already get paid?. Answer was yes. "So there's no problem". And continued to say "Those bolts are not meant to be removed". If they are not meant to be removed, why try to do a task you are unable to do only to damage the customers property?. This store and employees have done personal psychological, emotional,and most importantly as a business financial damage to me. For this reason i felt the need to write this review. read more

I have only had experience getting keys cut- every time has been very fast, friendly, and right the first time. I tried to go to Dixieline one day to save a short trip down the street to Lynns- I ended up waiting 15 minutes there and no one helped me- so I went to Lynn's and was out the door in a few. Other than one specialty key I needed cut that was a little pricey (which I expected), the price is usually very cheap, and reasonable. read more

In and out in less than 3 minutes! Fast, friendly service. I didn't know that you had to go to a locksmith only to get a "do not duplicate" key. After being turned away at Walmart and a local hardware store I was sent to Lynn's. Got a copy of my house key made on to a "do not duplicate" blank for only $2. read more
