I have a Baldwin lock set on my front door that uses a screwed in mortise cylinder I added a…read morepicture for reference. It is 26 years old and I am having the door resurfaced. When the person doing the resurfacing disassembled the lock, the lock cylinder would not budge. We tried the Baldwin instructions (inserting a key and screw out the cylinder) but that did not work. We called a locksmith, but they were unsuccessful as well. We used Chat GPT to find out that there are special wrenches called mortise cylinder wrenches. They are not a common tool so none of the home improvement stores had one. Chat GPT found Noble Key Supply and recommended their wrench. I called them in the afternoon (about 12:30 PM west coast time). A live person answered and I asked if they could ship the wrench across the country so I could get it the next day. They said yes and I ordered the tool. It arrived at about 11:30 AM east cost time and within about 10 minutes we had the cylinder removed. The tool worked great and the service from Noble saved the day. Thanks!
