I swore off electrolysis for a while but knew I'd have to try again. Did you know that it doesn't have to be like shooting giant fire needles into your skin? Did you know that if your electrologist pays attention to you and knows their equipment well enough, they can calibrate various things to make the experience more manageable? Blake has been able to dial things in so precisely that while it still hurts to a far lesser degree, I often can just ignore it and get lost in conversation instead. I used to use Lidocaine and ibuprofen, but I don't bother with either anymore. Your mileage may vary with regards to the pain experience, but it's new for me for a professional to not only *notice* and *care* that I'm in pain, but also to take steps to mitigate it as much as possible. Her work is stellar, and she helped me feel safe and comfortable every step of the way. Finally, the results are permanent and this has changed the trajectory of my life in a very real way. 10/10, would be zapped again (if that were necessary).
