Not an honorable dealership bought a used van they had shipped from a couple states away (thought it was from another Chevy dealer). It showed up with a cracked mirror no problem said they would replace it. I started noticing more stuff like back up camera not working, passenger door lock not matching, cargo door lock not matching, speaker not working, door seal missing between cargo doors, rear window leaking, ac not working right, glass shards in every window seal and coming out of the defrost, inverter not working. This van a 2022 with 28k miles I paid top dollar for it. They fixed the locks, and inverter warranty covered ac it took 5 months. They pretended to fixed the back window but only cut the silicone with a knife I can see the cut in the glass still leaks same spot. Called the dealer the sales manager just said oh well it's not going to be brand new! Scum read more

When you look at the website for Lyons Chevrolet, you see they are "family owned". That gave me a sense of confidence that they would care about MY family. Nothing could have been further from the truth. I traded my Jeep in for a Ford F250 Diesel. That was my 2nd mistake. It would die while driving. Even the owner told me this was dangerous. He did say they would trade me out of it and "treat me right" since I had bought the vehicle 30 days prior. "Treating me right" included Mark Wright, a salesman selling 2 trucks out from under me and allowing me $3899 LESS than I paid when we were able to find a vehicle that met my family's needs. While this is a family owned operation, the father, Richard, has delegated or possibly passed the torch to the son. Mark the sales man doesn't seem to understand the concept of "treating me right" or taking pride in your family owned dealership. I know refer to Lyon Chevrolet as Lying Chevrolet. read more

A Brush with Death. I drive a newer Silverado truck. It was in the shop over 3 weeks for a transmission rebuild, warranty work. I drove the rental car that morning from Mexico Beach, Florida to Lewisburg TN. It was my Birthday and I had dinner plans with friends. I picked it up my truck, drove across the city, to Hendersonville. Parked, with the truck running, AC on, and talked on the phone 20 min. work related. My husband beeped in and I returned his call, as he is still in Florida. Soon, I notice my arms going numb and I'm beginning to black out. John was informed on want was happening. I get a high feeling and black out again. My words are slurred and I can barely speak. John yells at me to call an ambulance or walk across the street to my friend house. I somehow open the door and turnoff the key. Slowly I come back to life and walk across the street. The next morning I realize I have an exhaust leak from the transmission repair. Carbon monoxide poisoning almost killed me, I'm almost positive. Following day I'm still not feeling not feeling well, I dropped the truck back off at the dealer. I drove across the street and spent the day laying around the ER. I now have over $1600 in medical bills. Lyon's turned the claim into their insurance company and of course the insurance adjuster nor dealership will return my calls. My truck has been in the shop 6 to 7 times for transmission issues. The truck jerks like it did before the rebuild. The last time service refused to return my calls. I made a formal complaint to GM and the dealer called me within an hour to make an appointment. Horrible customer service, even after speaking with Richard the owner several times. I have a bad transmission and I'm out $1600. read more

We bought our truck 3 years ago. Based on the information they gave me, single owner no accidents, I checked the KBB and it was a very fair price. They offered no haggle pricing, which we appreciated since we were in a hurry because my husband's truck had broken down and we needed a replacement. There were a few minor things that went wrong after the purchase, but nothing major. We were happy with the purchase and felt like we got a good deal from a local business. Fast forward to today, we took the truck for a trade in on a newer vehicle. When they ran the report, the truck HAD been in an accident and had 5 owners!!!!!! It was worth about $5,500 less than what we owe on it!! Meaning that Lyon's lied and sold us a truck for about $10k more than what it was actually worth. I am so upset that I fell for the hometown good guy crap and never demanded a carfax report! We are stuck with this horrible mistake, but hopefully someone will read this review and think twice before blindly trusting this business. One of the worst experiences of my life while trying to buy a car, this dealership is located in Columbia TN, I was in the market for a used truck, I stopped by mainly because I have been told Lyons Chevy was a good place to buy a vehicle. The day I stopped by was the begenning of one of my worst experiences, it started out by noticing a 2010 used Toyota Tundra, the salesman who drove up in it said the cost was in the mid $20's, I had a 2004 Chevy 4x4 and a 2014 Toyota Corolla to trade, I thought my payoff on the Corolla was around 22000, and the Chevy was paid for, well the other salesman ( Joe ) ask me to take the truck for a test drive, it drove out very good, it had 92000 miles and had no warranty, I was interested but after a few hours I had still haven't heard from Joe, so I give him a call, he says he could give me a deal at $30, 000, I thought this was ridiculous, so I discovered I only owed $19000 on the Corolla, so this should now be $27,000, after four more hours Joe calls me and says the best he could do is a little over $27,000, I did the work on the math, not him, anyway this isn't close to what the Tundra is worth, I would be giving him my truck, plus the first guy says the Tundra is in the mid $20's to begin with, being very upset with the service, I went to Roberts Toyota and bought a 2014 for $4000 mor than what he was asking for the 2010 model...don't buy from Lyons!!!! My wife and I wasted a Saturday today when after negotiating a trade and a price on a new 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe, we arrived to have Michael Keiser inform us the vehicle...well...isn't actually here. But we can get one like the one you wanted!! Unbelievable. A forty mile drive on a Saturday. Beware of this one.
