Should you need elevator assistance in getting non-ground floor levels, you may want to inquire or ask for a ground floor. The breakfast was pretty much standard free breakfast seen at most hotels with various breads, bagels, muffins, waffles, cereals, etc. I chose to go next door to the Big Boy for a little different fare. If you're staying here through a corporate program, be aware they'll make decisions behind your back and then justify it later however they see fit. I won't be staying here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who values privacy or professionalism.

The entrance to the building was not safe, the snow shoveling was half massed with a floor blower set to the side of the entry which was too low of a power to dry the inside entryway making the front desk area a slippery mess. The room had a sauna like shower with the heads calcified and floor tile in need of some cleaning. The front shower curtain had a blood or rust droplet on it. Dead cockroach on the ground. There was white crusty marks on both sides of the ottoman cushion and chair along with some froot loops residue. When brought up to the front desk was told that they couldn't refund us for our stay even though that's not even why we told them in the first place, no apologies. I liked the pancake machine over the waffle maker. The Lavazza coffee was a welcome feature too. The rooms are a bit smaller, but still comfortably fit a king-sized bed. There is a small refrigerator, but no microwave. Exposed rods, pipes, and pegs replaced dressers and armoires. The shower was full glass with TWO glass corner shelves, so for a change I didn't have to store my toiletries on the floor or bend over to pick up them up. WARNING - Bed Bugs in Duplex 10 at Jacks Landing…read more I want to start by saying I have stayed at Jacks every year for the past 22 years and have always enjoyed our vacations until this year. We mostly stayed in Duplex 10 but have also stayed at the waterfront cabins and Anglers Hideaway. This year we stayed the week of July 6th in Duplex 10. We discovered a bed bug issue towards the end of the week. We started getting red bite marks and waking up to find blood on the sheets. Upon further inspection we discovered live bed bugs and a lot of black/red stains on the box springs of all three beds and evidence on the futon. We immediately notified the management and were extremely disappointed in the response. They said they always clean the rooms and have never seen evidence of bed bugs. The offered us a $150 gift certificate for next year and told us one of the managers was going to the store to get "stuff" to clean it up right away. When we pushed for a full refund they said "they don't know where they came from" insinuating that we brought them with us. This is a very big infestation and not hard to find once we looked closer. All four people who stayed in the cabin had upwards of 50+ bites appear once we were home and started looking closer. We kick ourselves for not inspecting the bed upon arrival but after 22 years you tend to trust a place. I understand that these things happen but the response from the manager was the worst part. She said she had them before and it was not a big deal to get rid of them. They insinuated we brought them. Worst of all I believe they are going to try to "clean" it themselves. From what I read (and I have not read a lot) bed bugs are difficult to eliminate, and my guess is they will continue to be a problem at Jacks. I want to raise awareness to all potential guests at Jack that bed bugs were in Duplex 10 to be very cautious if staying at Jacks Landing
