It was just a minutes drive from downtown and a ten minute walk. Close to several Lighthouses that you can explore. We enjoyed the Hot Tub, Pool and the Breakfast they served. Check out the yogurt station with a variety of granola options. Only downside was inside the room there was a part of the floor that was peeling right in the walkway. Other than that things were great inside the room. New, fresh and clean. All that you could ask for in a hotel.

Later I found out they contacted my employer without telling me, supposedly to fix a "reservation issue" that I never created. That's a serious breach of trust. I was never asked, never informed, and their response was full of excuses instead of accountability. They tried to frame it like they were doing me a favor but in reality, they created a problem and dragged my employer into it without my consent. If you're staying here through a corporate program, be aware they'll make decisions behind your back and then justify it later however they see fit. I won't be staying here again and I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who values privacy or professionalism.

This was our first stay at a Tru hotel -- and we loved it! Having travelled for work quite a bit…read moreover the years and experienced different brands, I've been very happy with the Hilton brand for decades. I find Tru to be a lively refinement of the traditional hotel experience. The color scheme of the lobby sets Try apart from other Hilton brands. Fifteen years ago, I enjoyed the minimalist theme of Four Points by Sheridan, but today I feel Tru by Hilton is more energetic, sophisticated, and more on point for me. While I think Tru was intended for young travelers, I feel Tru suites me in my early 60s. I very much liked the complimentary breakfast better than what is served at a Hampton Inn. I liked the pancake machine over the waffle maker. The Lavazza coffee was a welcome feature too. The rooms are a bit smaller, but still comfortably fit a king-sized bed. There is a small refrigerator, but no microwave. Exposed rods, pipes, and pegs replaced dressers and armoires. The shower was full glass with TWO glass corner shelves, so for a change I didn't have to store my toiletries on the floor or bend over to pick up them up. If you need a microwave, there's one in the lobby at the snack counter. The rooms and lobby were CLEAN. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED

A group of four guys stayed at Tru by Hilton (separate rooms) for a golf weekend. Overall, the…read morehotel is pleasant and clean, although the color scheme is somewhat unusual in the lobby and exterior. The lobby is geared for activities, with a pool table, plenty of seating variations and a circular front desk area with drinks and snacks available for purchase. The complimentary breakfast was nice overall--basic eggs (or equivalent), sausage, cereal options, yogurt, pancake machine, juices, bagels, etc.. Coffee and tea are available 24 hours in the lobby as well. My king bed room was clean but on the small side, with just walking room around the perimeter of the bed. There are no real closets or drawers, just open racks and table surface. The bed was comfortable and bedding/pillows were good. The lighting in the room could have been better. The bathroom was clean, offering soaps, shampoo and body lotion in pump bottles. The shower was glass enclosed but leaked all over the floor even with the door closed tight. Water pressure was disappointing. I thought the hotel was relatively quiet, but one of the guys in our group said he could hear the people above him walking around in the middle of the night and it actually woke him up. Overall, the stay at Tru by Hilton was nice as expected. The staff was friendly and efficient, hotel seemed clean and the room was okay as well. There was really nothing that excelled in any way though, which is why I give it about 3.5 stars.

WARNING - Bed Bugs in Duplex 10 at Jacks Landing…read more I want to start by saying I have stayed at Jacks every year for the past 22 years and have always enjoyed our vacations until this year. We mostly stayed in Duplex 10 but have also stayed at the waterfront cabins and Anglers Hideaway. This year we stayed the week of July 6th in Duplex 10. We discovered a bed bug issue towards the end of the week. We started getting red bite marks and waking up to find blood on the sheets. Upon further inspection we discovered live bed bugs and a lot of black/red stains on the box springs of all three beds and evidence on the futon. We immediately notified the management and were extremely disappointed in the response. They said they always clean the rooms and have never seen evidence of bed bugs. The offered us a $150 gift certificate for next year and told us one of the managers was going to the store to get "stuff" to clean it up right away. When we pushed for a full refund they said "they don't know where they came from" insinuating that we brought them with us. This is a very big infestation and not hard to find once we looked closer. All four people who stayed in the cabin had upwards of 50+ bites appear once we were home and started looking closer. We kick ourselves for not inspecting the bed upon arrival but after 22 years you tend to trust a place. I understand that these things happen but the response from the manager was the worst part. She said she had them before and it was not a big deal to get rid of them. They insinuated we brought them. Worst of all I believe they are going to try to "clean" it themselves. From what I read (and I have not read a lot) bed bugs are difficult to eliminate, and my guess is they will continue to be a problem at Jacks. I want to raise awareness to all potential guests at Jack that bed bugs were in Duplex 10 to be very cautious if staying at Jacks Landing
