Wow. I never felt so rushed and unpampered at a nail salon before. No cuticle conditioning, no lotion after, no hot towel, no nail cleaning, and they charged $37 for a gel manicure! This is all you get... Nails painted and filed. They should call their place Lyz' quick nails, you get the basic polishing and sent on your way. I had tech Nan. I came in with gel for the polish removal, nail were filed and color reapplied, primer, then ole skool clear gel, then color base, then clear gel. Tap on the wrist your done. No nail cleaning or special touches. No cuticle clean up. Disappointed with service and nail shape. Basic service and my nails looks weird. My hands are just as dry as they were from coming the cold, as they were going in. Friendly but never giving up my money for this service or the free nail file. Today was my last straw with Lyz Nails. I have been coming here faithfully for nearly a year. Reason being because my nails come out great and they LAST and Vivian is a perfectionist. However, huge downfall of this place is they do NOT respect your appointment time. I have NEVER once in all of the months I've been going there been taken at my actual appointment time nor even within 30 minutes of it. Today after waiting for 45 minutes AFTER my scheduled appointment, I said something to the owner and she gave me a half hearted apology and told me how she recently lost workers and they have been super busy and went on with a lot of excuses. Their work is good but sadly it does not seem like the owner knows how to run a business. If you value your time do not go there, because they obviously do not. Place is small and cleanliness is eh. There are much more functional salons in the area in my opinion. read more

Wonderful nail salon! I had an appointment as a first time client for a manicure and Ty and Lyz worked hard to remove all the lifting in my acrylics and apply new gels. Lyz really is a caring perfectionist; she stayed late to make sure my nails were perfect. I'm definitely booking all my appointments there from now on. read more

I have been to about 5 different salons in Bayville and Lacey and I go out of my way to drive to Barnegat to go to Lyz Nails because that's how much better they are than any other place I've been. The salon is cute, small and cozy. I had my eyebrows waxed as well as an acrylic fill and I'm incredibly satisfied. They were perfectionists. They're busy for a reason. Will definitely be returning. read more

Walked in, they said the wait would be 15 minutes. After 50 minutes they told us it might be better to come back in an hour. We did, and they were even busier! then had to wait again. We came in for a gel manicure and a pedicure. My daughter and I both left only getting manicures because they were so busy we were going to have to wait another hour and a half! My daughters Medicare was gel and the technician did a very nice job. I also got a gel manicure, which I'm very unhappy with because it looks very clumpy and mis-shaped. For over 10 years I was a customer somewhere else and wanted to try somewhere different to get a gel fill and a pedicure. . A friend told me about LYZ nails and I live very close to the shop. I called to find out if they do gel fill, how much they charge, and when I was finished talking I was told they ONLY ACCEPT CASH!! well that is a little inconvenient because now I would have to go to the bank not a big deal, THOUGHT IT WAS A LITTLE WEIRD ALSO..I made the appointment with some hesitation because I felt as though I was doing something that I really had no reason for change. ANYWAY walked into a small business on a beautiful day that really didn't need air conditioning, 3 technicians were working, doors open and so some girl started my nails, then I was told to do my pedicure with a man named Simon he is a little slow in his work..that part was ok and he did do a nice job but was slow..then he was going to do my nails which the other girl just had taken off my first layer of gel...moving on..it was SOOOO painful to watch him, he was very methodical. As I watched he was filing my nails so short, and he was rounding them like my mother in-law used to have her nails done...I stopped him several times, and he said oh it will be fine I told him I still like the square look (I'm entitled to that I'm paying) after it was all done I WAS NOT HAPPY AT ALL...There was nothing that could be done..I paid the CASH AS REQUESTED..and with tips it was $90 to have nails that looked like I was 100 and crying..why did I do this! The other girls that were there were not friendly..I won't be going back ever again. I went back to my nail salon with happy faces greeting the following week as my SHORT ROUND NAILS WERE CHIPPING..I in 10 years only had chipped nails a few times, LESSON LEARNED, STICK WITH WHAT YOU KNOW. I scheduled an appointment to get dip powder nail manicure. When I got to my appointment, the nail technician showed me the powder(which I wanted). But kept saying you should just do gel. After trying to speak to her about the powder. Telling her I really wanted the powder, she just could not understand me and told me to select a gel color. I was also unhappy with the manicure, the color looked like it had grown out of about 2 weeks. She did not push back my cuticles, less then 1 week later I need a fill. . Service is a 5, they have the best gel manicures!! But every single time I come here, even when I've made an appointment, I've always had to wait at least a half hour to be seen. They take all walk ins no matter what, and will service the walk ins before you, if they were there before you, even if it interferes with your appointment time. This place is always busy and really should be appointment only to service people on time read more

Lyz Nails is a very unprofessional, unkept, and unclean establishment. They rudely speak in their native language about the customers and make it very obvious they are doing so. There is no waiting room to sit and their customer service lacks tremendously. I am new to the neighborhood and my experience there was awful considering I waited two hours to get my nails done while other people went ahead of me with no explanation. The employees did not care to ask how long I was waiting and I walked out with no questions asked from them. Do not get your nails done here! read more

did great on my nails and were very quick. when I called about a gel manicure they said it would be $25. I then got charged $10 more for them having to remove my previous gel polish which I thought was absurd because I wasn't told that on the phone. I had only brought $40 and planned on tipping $10 for the $25 nails but ended up only being able to leave $5 because they charged me extra. also $35 was too low to put on a card. read more
