    Espresso after a good meal..
    Mike P.

Came in here to just get a quick snack. They had a special for about 16 euro for salad, meal, & dessert. No salad came (only realized this till after). My meal was the fish and chips, only had one filet. Guess that was due to it being a value meal, prob should've got the regular fish and chips instead. Took such a long time to getting the desert ordered and receiving it. Wife got the creme brulee in few minutes which was cool, but my coffee took such an unusual time. Even the patrons around me all got their coffee. I finally got my coffee, but was ready to get out of there. Service could be a LOT better...

Pretty average restaurant. You come here to eat the mussels! The original steamed mussels with butter and herbs is good. Very fresh. The paella-like one with rice and spices was alright. The flavors were potent but not sure they went very well together. It was kind of bitter. There were also bits of sand/small pieces of shell that were in the rice mixture so it was kind of difficult to eat. Overall, it's not bad. Pretty average meal.

This old restaurant has modernized and improved. Not a fancy place with a very bad rating. I still think that it worth going for a quick lunch. Of course you must like mussels otherwise is not your kind place. The side salad,be prepared to get a tiny tiny salad by american standards. Beer are very good. Very pleasant out door sitting.

Look at their salad. They are using old greens. It doesn't even taste delicious. Waste of money.

Got the menu for 11.90 euros with a salad, the house mussels, and the Belgian dessert mix. Portions were very large and delicious. Service was pretty quick, although my friends had some problems with communication with the server, who didn't speak the best English. Cute decor.

The mussels were delicious. But, service was a bit spotty with a somewhat rude waitress.

It was good fish and chips. Don't expect to take your food "a emporter," because they don't serve to go.

Moules marinere for lunch is a good value. Comes with salad and dessert. Service is good but not always expedient.

Upon walking in, we realized this was a neighborhood treasure, full of locals enjoying a slowed-down and capital-L Lunch. I started with the delicious Pork Terrine with Endive Salad. It was hearty and full of meaty flavor. My husband ordered the Butternut Squash Soup which looked impeccable, and was incredibly flavorful. I ordered the Grilled Veal Kidneys w/ Miso + Scallion and Mashed Potatoes. It was savory, rich, and so delicately balanced. Kidneys aren't typically my go-to order, but I figured that they were in very capable hands at Comme chez Maman, and I was right. My husband ordered the Duck Confit with Celery Root + Mashed Potatoes, which he loved, too. Service was pretty good, but what struck me the most was how much everyone was enjoying their dining experience around us. Everyone was so happy and leisurely enjoying their meals.

The ambiance of this restaurant was outstanding as we were warmly greeted when we entered and the restaurant is housed in an historic building about 400m from the Louvre. Only two tables were occupied by Americans which was a good sign. We ordered the tartare, foie gras, Octopus salad, duck and pork belly, all of which were delightfully prepared and tasted very good. We ordered Palova and the Soufflé for desert (both highly recommended). They had a very extensive wine list but we opted for the Charles Heidstick Brut Reserve by the glass which was very good. By far our best dinner while in Paris.

The menu may be a bit confusing, but our server cleared up any questions. (a la carte vs prix fixe) We started with a complimentary terrine with gherkins and onions which were delicious. I had the Brittany scallops in a pesto and citrus dressing topped with parmigiana reggiano - absolutely amazing! Mains were the braised beef cheeks which were melt in your mouth and a tender roasted veal. The smoothest puréed potatoes and a crispy potato gaufrette were perfect accompaniments. The Grand Marnier soufflé was the perfect ending to an outstanding lunch. I look forward to returning to La Regalade for another lunch or perhaps dinner.

We each got a small order of frites (3.50 Euro each). A small order (a "cornet") comes with one sauce, so I got mayo and my husband got ketchup. Yes, they call it ketchup here, not sauce tomate. The frites are PLENTIFUL. I am a big person with a hearty appetite, and I could not finish mine. So how are they, you ask? They are fresh (you can watch your order being dunked in the oil for the second time) and hot and tasty - crisp outside, tender inside, just like they doctor ordered. Are they life-changing? No. Did I have a frites epiphany? I did not. But are they crunchy and yummy and filling and do they hit the spot? Yes, yes, yes, and yes.
