Such a cool little spot located in the heart of Kailua. It's covered so you are out of the sun and the elements. There is a street parking as well as a metered parking lot across the street. There are local vendors selling food products as well as clothes, jewelry, and artwork. My favorite thing is to go and try a bunch of the food vendors because there's always something interesting there. This past weekend I went and there was live music, which was really nice. Love this unique market... It's not your usual "farmers market" with fresh produce though there are some grab and go treats and even some food trucks/carts which is a wonderful way to take the much needed break or like me to get your day started as your brain still need that help to bloom, but what you'll find are more of a crafted items that are very unique find. I have to admit whenever I need an escape I do absolutely love to browse around the area of the many lots Lokahi Market in Kailua where majority of the lots are shaded and whatever the weather is you're fully covered. Sometimes there are special events like on this day the humane society was there to show the many cuties looking for home and is so touching to see that many was adopted...very sweet! Come down to Kailua and see all the cool various vendors every Sunday from 9am to 1pm on Uluniu Street though as around there are three lots and though there are many vendor that are there regularly there are some pop ups that makes it's special appearance as it's never a dull moment here in Kailua. This is hands down my favorite farmers market on Oahu! The Kailua Farmers Market feels high-quality without being overwhelming. It runs every Sunday from 9 AM to 12 PM and has such an amazing mix of vendors. I could go on and on about the free plenty of parking spots on Sundays in the area, or the variety of local vendors catering to all types of patrons, jewelry of all kind, or the shade covering you from all the elements while you shop, or the different cultures of food ranging from fresh smoothies, delicious coffee drinks, Mexican food, Thai food, cubano sandwiches and shave ice, different juices and adaptogen drinks, never mind all of the cookies and desserts one can handle. What you really enjoy about Lokahi is the relaxed atmosphere, the collective vibe of this place is really what makes it a place to be on Sunday. You'll be serenaded by some good ol reggae, some acoustic Hawaiian jams, maybe a prince song or two to get the juices flowing. Michelle and crew does an amazing job at crafting a market full of mana, good energy, a place where you won't see many of the same items twice, where everything is personalized, and even customized for your liking. This market is usually held on Sundays, (9a-1p), located on Uluniu Street in Kailua. You can find parking on the street or park in the municipal parking lot. When the Aloha market is held, the lokahi market is held in the lot on Malunui St. It's nice to find a Sunday market/fair where you can shop for craft items, but also other products and food booths. Lokahi market has an ample number of vendor, in the shade, nicely spaced out practicing social distancing. If I go out to the Kailua farmers market, I try to make a stop at the Lokahi market, to support and shop local! Ube crinkle cookies are soft and good with coffee. Also got a cute sun dress from the nice folks in the back left stall (got lots of compliments the rest of the week). My wife and I frequent the Lokahi Kailua Market from time to time and enjoy perusing the products here. It's more of a craft fair than farmer's market because there is only one stall that sells produce and very little at that. The food sold here seems to be very popular and the vendors seem to be doing pretty well. What we have purchased in the past have been very tasty. You can get a massage here or shop for gifts, or even buy things for your pets. The crafts here matches Kailua so well and if you come here you will know what I mean. Worth checking out. read more

Such a cool little market! I usually visit my favorite mask vendor at another weekly market in my neighborhood but we've been missing each other, so she invited me to meet her at this market on a Sunday afternoon. They don't have many vendors but the few they have are pretty awesome, including DYY Creations which sells my favorite mask because it fits so well on my face and is made of a soft jersey-type fabric (two layers). She's been making cool designs as well, including a lunar new year and Valentine themed masks. I also recognized a vendor from the other market, Freckle Face Soaps. We switched to shampoo and conditioner bars two years ago to be more eco-friendly, and since LUSH closed we've had to try other brands. Her shampoo bars lather up as well as LUSH's, and she's got a great variety of scents. Lots of great foodie finds here - I tried the Birria tacos but wasn't really impressed, I'm sorry to say. The beef was tender, but the Birria sauce was a little flat. I'll have to go back and try Kealoha Seafood Da Hub's "candy poke" and "braddahsadas" - there was quite a line for his booth. If you go, you must stop at Wow Baguio, which sells Filipino cookies and breads. Apparently, she sells out fairly quickly, so you'll want to get to the market early to see her full menu. I was able to snag a jar of ube halaya but not her coconut jam, and I got her last polvoron - a shortbread style of cookie that is very crumbly and nutty. She makes all of her items fresh daily - in fact she had been up baking since midnight! She does have a storefront in Chinatown where you can order and get curbside pickup, but I'll be back next Saturday! read more

First time visiting this market! It's in a nice location: easy to find, covered, and open aired. They had a good mix of vendors and even had a live musician performing. Honestly didn't even hear of this market until one of the vendors I follow posted that they would be here. Their website says that this market is held every Sunday from 8:30am-12:30pm and there are a lot of trendy shops and eateries on the same street to check out as well. The only issue we had was with the parking. They don't have a designated parking lot, so you have to find street parking (free on Sundays) or a public lot. Other than that, I'd definitely come back here if I'm in the area! read more

Had a fun Sunday in Kailua a few weeks ago. We stumbled upon this sweet market while driving around town during our "get out of these 4 walls or I'll scream" road trip over to the Windward side. There really is a world out there. We double-masked even though we were outdoors and it was obvious the organizers and vendors were taking care to keep people safe. The market had a variety of stands with fresh and baked goods and gifts. Bummed that we'd already eaten a hearty breakfast - definitely won't next time. My favorite find was the stand with the coolest homemade greeting cards ever. Adorable Hawaii, tropical, and retro themed cards. I ended up getting several and now I can't decide if I want to mail them or frame them. Laura, the artist, was super nice, and her company BlueBungalowCards is based in Kailua. She said she is there every 2nd Sunday and may add another Sunday. I told her I wanted to tell Hawaii-loving mainland friends about her cards and she said they can find her company's name on Etsy. Took my son to the Lokahi Market this past Sunday! Not hard to find and didn't have to fight for parking. It was a hot day thankfully it was a shaded area so not bad at all. I actually came to support my bf he's in Habilitat so I just wanted to show my gratitude and donate. They had City Boys for live entertainment which was awesome. I picked up some jerky from Jerky Labs forgot to take pictures ended up eating it all, it was so good. Not a lot of vendors but really cool finds! My son had some shave ice and some truffle fries. Celebrating 20 years living in Kailua and it has evolved to such a unique community (being a previous Kaimuki townie) This open market is different from Kailua's Thursday nite crowd or the other open market on Sundays as they cater to tourists who are looking for hot food. This market has actual local kine artisans. If I was visiting the islands this would be the place to visit as I would want unique things to bring back home from my trip. It is not just crafts. They provide hot food and a coffee cart that has such unique beverages! I had the tumeric and ginger latte which is great during the humidity! You can definitely browse through the shops, eat, listen to live music, etc. A nice way to spend a Sunday morning. I almost forgot to mention the perk! It's got shade! Yet completely open!!!! We walked over and met with each of the vendors, taste tested, purchased a few things, and browsed. It's a great set up!
