    Chocolate Macadamia Nut spread

Looking for a fun place to take visitors from the Mainland or even a fun and DELICIOUS excursion with friends?  I've got the perfect place -- Manoa Chocolate!!  Okay, don't be fooled, it's not in Manoa but in KAILUA!!  It's in the same parking lot as Cinnamons, IYKYK!    Decided to check out after having breakfast and I'm so glad we did! We arrived just in time for their daily (and free) tastings which they hold several times a day.  It all starts with an overview of the complete chocolate process.  The overview was done over a sampling of a small cup of chocolate tea.  I was surprised, CHOCOLATE TEA??  It was very subtle and pleasant to drink (I actually bought a bag for myself).  As our knowledgable expert explained the process, everyone was amazed at the amount of work it takes, as well as how much fruit it takes,  to create a bar of delicious chocolate.  Definitely a labor of love.  Do you believe out of 1 fruit you can only make around 3 bars of chocolate?  Only using the very best, you can definitely taste the quality in their chocolate. The tasting continued with a sampling of a delicious chocolate macadamia spread, Ali`i Kula Lavender Dark chocolate, Kuawa Guava (a vegan chocolate), Lilikoi Passion Fruit Chocolate,..., we also tried choc nibs for a bit of crunch.  Everything was delicious!  When you taste them one after the other, you can definitely taste the difference.  I'm a dark chocolate lover but I actually really enjoyed the variety.  Other than the pure dark chocolate, my favorite was the Lilikoi Chocolate.  You can't leave without buying a few of their delicious bars.  BTW, they often run specials where you buy X and get 1 free.  Okay...chocolate lovers UNITE!!

Very friendly welcome. You can taste samples on your own or sit at a counter with an employee explaining to you. We visited years ago when they were located above Cinnamons. Today we noticed the sign on the left and decided to visit them after our meal. Fancy, more room, very different more trendy vibe from before. You can even order beverages. Doc saw a sign that if you write a review and I had just posted on Yelp. Thanks Doc for treating us to coffee after lunch.

Mānoa Chocolate's sip chocolate and wine pairing experience is a must if you love to try new wines and are a chocolate lover. I can't recommend this experience enough! If you're looking for something unique to do on Oʻahu, this wine and Hawaiian chocolate pairing is absolutely worth it. From the moment we arrived, everything felt intentional--from the cozy atmosphere to the beautifully presented wine flights and locally made Mānoa Chocolate pairings. Each wine was paired with a different chocolate bar, and the tasting guide explained exactly what flavors to look for. I never realized how much the chocolate could completely transform the flavor of the wine (and vice versa)! The staff was welcoming, knowledgeable, and made the entire experience feel relaxed and engaging. You can tell they're passionate about both the wines and supporting locally grown Hawaiian cacao. This ended up being one of my favorite experiences since moving to Hawaiʻi, and I'll definitely be back. Highly recommend making a reservation if you have the chance!

Had the best experience sampling chocolates and chit chatting with Danny, who made this amazing sea salt mocha latte with chocolate cream top! I am absolutely obsessed with this place and wish I lived closer, I would come for coffee everyday!

We had the best experience with Kosh with our sip and pair. He really connected with each of us and was extremely knowledgeable of the chocolate/wines along with our charcuterie items that were presented to us. Would highly recommend to give this place a visit. I personally don't drink wine but my friends enjoyed them! The chocolates we tried were high quality and were Devine :) Parking was easy, there's metered but we were lucky the one we parked at was broken. lol

Cute small chocolate shop tucked into a random plaza. Upon entering, we were offered the opportunity to join in on the chocolate tasting that was happening. They gave samples of cacao nibs, cacao tea, and different types of chocolates. The experience was very interesting, tasty, and educational. The worker goes through random and interactive fun facts. You could also add on additional tastings such as a wine flight/chocolate pairing to go along with it. Afterwards, we were able to walk around the shop and try more samples that were scattered around the store before making purchases. I would recommend purchasing the cacao tea! This was extremely unique and delicious.

Super fun factor tour! Lots of chocolate tastings. The creator was even there and came out to talk to us and answer questions. Kid friendly and got to learn a lot about the chocolates process

This review is for both the factory tour and the Kailua storefront. Amazing chocolate grown and made right on the islands! This craft chocolate is incredibly smooth and "eatable", setting it apart from some other single origin/craft brands that can be a little tough on a non-chocoholic palate. I had first learned of this brand when I came to Oahu on a chocolate education tour put on by Dandelion, and I had to come back to the newly-finished factory this visit and share the joy with my friends. The factory tour is self-guided in a different part of Kailua and comes with a delightful souvenir and all you can eat chocolate fountain ;) We were lucky enough to see the owner, Dylan, working in the factory when our group was passing through. At the end of the tour is the shop where there are loads of chocolate souvenirs, more samples, as well as art prints and other chocolate-adjacent items. The Kailua storefront also offers wine pairings and educational tastings, and is a nice-sized, breezy visit for anyone in town. We sadly had to cancel our wine tasting due to our tight schedule but I really want to go back and give them a try the next time I visit. Definitely check them out!

Mānoa Chocolate was a highlight of our trip to Hawai'i. My husband planned a chocolate tasting here one Sunday evening. When we arrived, we were greeted by Molly. We sat at the bar, and she really made our experience great. Although, we came in with the intentions of only do a chocolate tasting, we ended up adding a wine flight to our experience. Molly paired our wines perfectly with the chocolates. We opted for the fruit-flavored wines, which consisted of the Liliko'i/Passion Fruit, Manakō/Mango, and Kuawa/Guava. All of them were really good, but we enjoyed the Guava wine and chocolate the best. We even purchased a bottle to bring back with us, which also came with a bar of chocolate and a complimentary gift bag. The chocolate flavors are also bold and delicious. We thoroughly enjoyed Mānoa Chocolate so much, we ordered a few more bars of chocolate. They shipped them quick and we received them within three business days. They were in great condition, and none were melted. Overall, if you're in the area or just looking for great chocolate and wine, check them out. You won't be disappointed!

I'm not a chocolate person to be clear. I stumbled onto Monoa chocolate while waiting for a table at nearby Cinnamons (for the record is worth the 45-60 min wait). We were welcomed immediately and offered a free chocolate tasting that was just starting, W Sat is a square type bar setting with other guests and were served a small dixie cup of cocoa hot tea. You read that right...chocolate tea. I'm also not a tea person. Delicious! Long story short we were treated to 5 or so different chocolates, and a chocolate infused honey and peanut butter. They also offer wine tastings as well as private party tastings. At the End of the Day this was a classy experience and was a great way to spend the time. No I didn't buy chocolate because despite the fact that it was amazing it was a bit pricey for me and I'm just not a chocolate guy.

A great place for kids and adults, they have chocolate, coffee, and rum tasting. My favorite is the guava chocolate bar!! Yummm!!!

The texture is different from typical mochas where the chocolate is in liquid form. Since it is iced, the chocolate is in tiny specks that instantly melt in your mouth. Unique and delicious!

What a find! We were waiting for my sister to finish up at a local Pilates class and saw this Manoa Chocolate store where they have tastings and sell their homemade products of chocolate and even their own rum. Maggie was terrific as our host and the vibe was cool. We bought a bunch of chocolates for ourselves and as gifts for friends back home. The tastings were so much fun. We learned about the locations of where the chocolates were made and a little history as well. We enjoyed our time there and highly recommend this place. Check it out and spend some time here.

How long (time) is the tasting tour, the on line $25 reservation package?

I think that this depends on how many people participate and how many questions there are. We were three people and it lasted between 30-45 min.

Upon entering, there is a table with an ordering menu that you fill out for the ice cream. There are no cones and no "parlor" for ice cream- only written options. The standard flavors of vanilla, creamy strawberry and chocolate are available as base choices. There were two "special" flavors of the day that was kona mud pie and another unique option. You can check off on the menu PER item how you want your ice cream in regards to toppings, syrups, in a cup or bubble waffle, single scoop or multiple scoops, etc. Hubby ordered a boba tea that you don't need to fill out on the menu sheet. I'm personally not a huge fan of boba, but he enjoyed it. The lime grape boba tea was what he ordered. As for ice cream, we ordered the following combinations: -Red velvet bubble waffle "cone" with kona mud pie ice cream and chocolate syrup - Classic bubble waffle cone with vanilla ice cream, strawberries and rainbow sprinkles - chocolate bubble waffle cone with creamy strawberry, oreo cookie crumbs and chocolate syrup The red velvet and classic bubble waffle were my favorite. The creamy strawberry ice cream was really good but the other flavors were on the sweet side- no additional toppings were necessary- in fact, I think it was overkill (though beautiful in presentation. I would probably come here again with the kids, but these are a little challenging to eat, in all honesty. The bubble waffle as a cone is nice, but not sturdy. The ice cream is nice, though options of flavor are limited. The ordering process is a little tedious when ordering multiple items, but it's understandable in order to get each one right.
