I had a hankering for frozen yogurt and I was in the area, so I came by to check out Frost for the first time. It's a nice little store with a great selection of frozen yogurt, toppings, and sauces. You can really go crazy here with candies, cereals, boba, fruits, brownies, cookies, and all sorts of goodies to go on your yogurt. There were about 12 different frozen yogurt flavors available on the day I went, from chocolate to cinnamon, cappucino and fruity flavors. Basically, you can mix up the frozen yogurt of your dreams. There were plenty of cups, spoons, and napkins, and the checkout process was quick and easy. This was much more reasonable in price than the froyo place nearest me. Frost in Hawaii was honestly really disappointing, especially for the price. I understand the concept of these types of dessert spots, and if you're mainly looking for ice cream with tons of topping options, it might be a fun place to take kids. They definitely have a lot of choices. However, the shaved ice was absolutely atrocious. It's a make-your-own setup with a machine, but the ice melts almost immediately as soon as you pour any flavor on top. Instead of having that soft, fluffy shaved ice texture you expect in Hawaii, it just turned into a watery mess within seconds. Love this yummy froyo spot! I always enjoy coming here for spontaneous froyo dates with bae hehe. I really appreciate that they have quite some options and choices when it comes to flavors. My go to flavors here are Strawberry & Ube (Get it,You won't regret it)!! I got those two ever since my very first visit here and never changed it up since! I also think it's amazing that this establishment caters to those who have dietary restrictions (so there's really something for everybody) for example Non diary/diary options! I recently discovered in this visit that they have condensed milk that you can add on to your froyo ??? It was a perfect addition that made my froyo even more complete! And it will be in my future topping rotations in future visits lol. Oahu only has a few froyo spots unfortunately .. so it's good to have Frost around to hold it down! Prices do vary but it can be pricey at times .. although I feel like that's the case for any froyo spot anyway. But still worth coming to here and there every so often. Staff is pretty average and decent , they are really just there standing around to weigh your bowl and to ring you up. Pro tip: They have happy hour DAILY 8PM-9PM (Closing) , you buy 1 and get the other 50% off!!! Super cool deal and such a steal! Came here on a day they had a $1 shave ice special which is an absolutely crazy deal. Follow their Instagram for a bunch of deals. They normally happen around a holiday. Service was friendly and taught us how to make the shave ice ourselves. They made about 6 local handmade syrups that we could choose! And the condensed milk was free!!? I had a large cup, about 3/4 full, with some mango and strawberries, so I imagine mine cost significantly more, but $55 plus tip still feels excessive. Dealing with my fussy 5-year-old, I quickly signed the bill without questioning it, but the price suggests we got about 3.5 lbs of froyo at $0.99 per ounce. Even if it was weighed correctly, I can't justify spending that much again. The yogurt flavor selection was decent but not amazing, and the toppings were okay--they didn't have cheesecake pieces or granola, but there was a good variety otherwise. The shop was a bit warm, and parking was tricky. Looking back, I wish I'd asked for an itemized receipt to see the breakdown. The frozen yogurt was good enough but I left feeling scammed. My kids each filled a medium and it was $1/ounce and they ended up costing over $20 each so over $80 for 4 people. This cool place on Oneawa Street will have you build your own creation with everything you can imagine and as I had zero intention how all you have to do is just take a short browse around and of course start with the frozen yogurt...and with over a dozen to choose from it can get overwhelming thought once I saw Peppermint and it's twin partner of chocolate that was an instant no brainer...chocolate peppermint twist...bam! Which then there are 14 different cereal, over 20 sweet toppings, then there still the chilled fruits and popping boba section not to mention the syrup bar of chocolate, guava, lilikoi, strawberry and so much more...ya they have LiHing as well! Love this spot for special after school dates with my kids. They love being able to pour their own ice cream and top it off with all kinds of toppings to enjoy from cereal, to candy, to fresh fruit and syrups. The froyo is self serve so you do everything yourself. They have regular sized cups and large sized cups. I do wish they had a kid sized cup because the regulars are even big for me. You pay by weight so keep that in mind when you're loading up your toppings. They have ample seating at tables or for a more casual feel, they have comfy couches and a nice play area for the kiddos. The owner even came over and put on Kung Fu Panda on the tv for my kids which was a treat. They share a parking lot with neighboring businesses but usually always a spot open. read more

After a day in the sun I decided to treat the kids to a freaking sweet treat to cook them and myself down. We happened to be in the area so we stopped in to check it out. What I really liked about Frost is they offered us sampler cups. During Covid a lot of froyo establishments did away with offering samples to try so because it was our first time here we took advantage of "trying before buying." We all have different taste preferences so it was great that they had many flavor options to choose from. I'm a sucker for sweets so I really enjoyed the pineapple. While my youngest is a huge chocolate lover and my oldest loved the taro. After choosing our flavors we were welcomed with additional topping choices. Upon entering the store, our group was greeted with a passive-aggressive energy by the employee. I also asked to get a second spoon, which I was told was "not allowed" due to company policy? Finally we were told the couches were meant for a maximum of 5 people each, which we listened to and followed. Then we were told that we had to leave the store for not following the rules about the couch? So we were told to wait outside in the pouring rain. Our group spent around $200 so I was extremely disappointed in the aggressive behavior we received during our stay.
