Second time here and not disappointed at all. There's a wide selection of flavors and you can sample. The service is great and very efficient. My choice was a 1 scoop split of Almond Cookie and Houjicha Honey Milk. A scoop is quite a bit and it was so yummy. As for the ambiance we enjoyed our sweet treat indoors.

It's a nice spot that my friends like visiting and can accommodate our group of 6-8 with friendly service. The gelatos are creamy, but I find the flavors to be muted and not as robust as other spots. As for parking, street or the paid lot.

My girlfriend said this is the best gelato due to favors the owner uses. I have to say it's pretty amazing-like Italy! The service is very quick and informative and helpful. They can give you a suggestion for your second favors. The ambiance is nice and bright and fun. Staff are amazing. Give this location a try ... you won't be disappointed!

this is a very good place for dinner after. If you cannot make a decision, they can give you a sample. I love their Matcha and Ube favors so I two spoons. In addition the service was very good.

We found this gem a few weeks ago and glad we did!! Such a cute little gelato shop in a busy community. Lots of unique flavor gelato available. They also have cakes and coffee! Amazing customer service. They have a small little seating area you can sit and enjoy your gelato. We definitely will be back.

Convenient location in Kaimuki! I don't visit this place too often but their gelatos are always fire. I love their black sesame and houjicha gelatos. For 2 scoops, I paid about $8 with a cone. I believe it's a little cheaper if you get a cup. The staff is helpful and prompt. You get 3 samples per customer. Free parking isn't always available but the gated parking lot has a 20 minute grace period :)

Lots of flavors and vegan options! You can get cups, cones, ice cream sandwiches, ice-cream cakes, milkshakes, pints to go, and coffee. They also have different toppings. Very cute and yummy. The inside is cute with pastel murals and different places to sit.

Single scoop is around $5. The yuzu sherbet was mid and was leaning towards a lemon-y flavor instead of yuzu.

@fortunefoodfinds: "Life is short, make it SWEET! Houjicha + Lavender n' a scoop of Cinnamon Toast Crunch from via GELATO. When you're wanting gelato n' in Kaimuki, this is the place to be!" Staff: friendly Interior: some seating, enough space for a stroller Exterior: bench available Wait time: 5 mins Parking: street or back lot Overall comments: been coming here for years n' it's a great place for all ages. You can sample flavors, buy pints, n' they have a variety of dessert options + drinks. When I think of gelato, they are the first to come to mind. Always excited to see what new flavors they have!

We were there just this morning at opening. The guy was really nice, the place is clean, and so many flavors to choose from. My sons gf asked me Earl Grey? My response was not very nice because I don't care for the tea. It's so good, I think I need to try the tea again.

I LOVE that their flavors are their own creations! They have some unique flavors and they change them out from time to time. My favorite flavor is Earl Grey (when they have it)! They also have ice cream sandwiches and cakes. They will sell pints of their ice cream so if you want that, you walk in the store and keep going straight and there's a freezer right there. Atmosphere - Bright feeling and bright lights. It's colorful with their items. Service - The people who work here are so friendly and really helpful. They do samples so you can ask them. You are restricted to how many samples you get so choose your top ones :). Cost - $4 depending on what you get. They do have a mini size and they have cups or cones. The waffles cones always smell so good! Parking - You can do metered street parking (free after a certain time) or park in the lot right next to it and it'll cost you around $2. Location - It's in Kaimuki and next to a Chinese and Vietnamese restaurant. This is definitely a place that I take people to as well because they use local flavors and I like the flavors they try out!

Used to come to Via a lot during high school days. It's definitely changed a lot since then, but I still love to support local small businesses. Workers are super friendly & the store itself is always clean. They have many unique gelato flavors, but my frosted flakes is always my go-to. Try it out if you're ever in Kaimuki!

In all my years of coming to Via Gelato, this was my first time getting a waffle cone, and I was definitely missing out all these years. Their waffle cone was crispy and the perfect amount of sweet that paired perfectly with my black sesame gelato.

But... lucky for me, traffic was in my favor and there was no delays, no red lights, and a parking space right out front so I got out of the car at precisely 1:55! Whew, I checked in and ran inside, excited that I made it. Also, super happy they were not sold out. You know I also cannot just get 1 pint. I took home 2 Pumpkin Custard, a Strawberry and candied ginger (which i got for mom so she doesnt get mad that I restocked the freezer). It's the kind of spot you're most likely to discover while wandering in or out of Ginza Bairin, following a luxurious tonkatsu meal craving something cold and refreshing. The setup is refreshingly no-frills: medium styrofoam cups, flavors handwritten in Sharpie, and two separate freezers dividing ice cream and sorbet. The texture runs on the firmer side, which actually works in its favor -- your scoop holds up beautifully in the island heat and doesn't melt into a puddle five minutes later. Given the generous portions, you probably won't be refreezing leftovers anyway. The tropical fruit sorbets are the clear stars, made with fresh fruit and bursting with natural flavor. Mango, lychee, and guava taste vibrant and authentic -- bright, fragrant, and not overly sweet due to the natural acidity from using real fruit. Beyond the classics, there are some fun and unexpected options like corn cheese, durian, and avocado for the more adventurous palate. The standout for me, though, was the Kona coffee ice cream. It avoids the common trap of being cloyingly sweet and instead leans into a rich, dark, nutty undertone with an intense coffee essence that lingers in the best way. It feels grown-up and balanced -- deeply satisfying without overpowering. Whether you're looking for the perfect palate cleanser after tonkatsu or just want a cold treat while strolling through Waikiki, Henry's Place delivers simple, memorable scoops that taste like they're made with care. No frills, no fuss -- just really good ice cream and sorbet.
