No stars. First. Never move with a company who is a broker and will then hire a random company to actually carry your goods. In the case of Mega Man the experience was: An increase in price (over what MegaMan has quoted) by the carrier based on fake inflated cubic feet + 7 days of different lies by different rude and clueless individuals about where the goods were as they were not delivered on time + missing furniture and boxes & damaged goods upon delivery where we were charged close to $1000 extra to get the truck unloaded. (Requiring payment without unloading and inspecting is unheard of in moving industry). No paperwork and no follow up about the damaged and missing items. They collected (extorted) their money and they were gone. In short, scam artist brokers working with scam artist carriers and accepting no responsibility, and cowardly pretending to blaming each other! ZERO STARS This company is a complete joke and fraud. I spoke with Scott got a great price (too good to be true apparently), Got a call from Kristina 48 hours before they were supposed to arrive and my price doubled. Wanted to cancel and she said no refund because only 2 days until arrival. I called everyday for a week trying to reach out to someone and no call backs or emails. The movers showed up 32 hours late and arrived at 9:00pm Who does that? My household goods finally showed up 30 days later and I have a lot of broken items that were priceless antiques from my great great grandparents. Not cool! Don't waste your time with these people. A move that was quoted at $7000 ended up over $25k. They are a broker and only want your money. They, Angelina, and Tony will tell you what you want to hear and low ball the move. Then, when their QA person calls you, Tony panics, says its way under, demands more money, and then he is gone. He and his Fiance also have felony charges for stolen goods and laundering. They get another company to do the moving, Tony's Friend. Atlantis Moving and Storage in NJ and that company held our goods hostage, over charged us for cubic feet and trashed our stuff. Claims company on the BOL pays .60/lb, so if your kid's $400 gaming system is cracked in half, they pay $1.20 because it weighs 2 lbs. $2000 TV weighs 40 lbs, do the math. Scam. I am writing today because as a consumer we need to be careful when dealing with moving companies and transport services. We provide our banking information because these companies do not accept credit cards for multiple reasons. Mega Man Moving Company took $600.00 from a Retiree and refuse to refund monies after a long confusing ordeal between the moving company and GMR the facilitator for the drivers. I was held up for 5 days with non speaking english drivers showing up with no instructions other than to pick up my belongings. The truck was in disarray, terribly disorganized. they seem confused, on the phone for hours outside, than leaving my neighborhood without any communication. They returned days later after a small UHaul with 2 young men showed up saying they were there to pack and wanted the money up-front. I was never informed they were coming until that day on my doorstep. I needed to confirm. It was a nightmare for me. These guys came in and demanded money and left abruptly when I ask for a Bill of Lading. I called Megan Man Moving customer service, Ms. Givonni for assistant, she tried to help, but the situation was not going smoothly. It was my best decision to resolve this matter to cease all business due to poor business coordination. I have requested my refund from MEGA MAN Moving and a claim to repair damage to our AT&T box along landscape area. No one has helped me or refunded me. Tony from Mega Man Moving is very unprofessional and does not respond professionally. My mother paid an additional $200 to one of the drivers, on her pickup day. Tony told my mother she wasn't supposed to pay an additional $200 to the driver, but the driver assist on telling my mother why the $200 was necessary for her to pay. Needless to say Tony refuses to pay back the additional $200. I believe any business man with integrity would do what's right. It's SAD that this moving company has to manipulate people out of there hard earned money especially senior citizens. It would be NEGATIVE 100's if I could. I speak to a very nice gentleman who gives me a quote. Rushes me to get the payment. I later find out it doesn't include any boxes. I have 40 boxes, 1 dresser (4 drawer), 1 dressing table, 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed, 3 ladders, 4 TVs, 3 sections of chain link. The cost was $2199 so he said. I was thrilled. DON'T MAKE THE MISTAKE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH MEGA MAN MOVING. The quoted price was inflated by 75% three days before my scheduled move. I cancelled and requested a refund of my deposit. They refused because I was giving less than seven days notice. (note that they didn't jack up the price until it was too late to cancel with full refund) They had also insisted that the deposit be made via EFT rather than on a credit card, so I was not even able to dispute the charge. They gave us a quote, and it turned out to be their fees as a broker, but when the truck shows up, expect to pay triple the quoted price. They put you in a situation where you have no choice but to go ahead and spend more time and money than what you budgeted for your move. When you call the agents to inquire what is going on, they lie to your face and tell you we called, and you never give us a good description of your furniture. Now you must pay based on the square footage, not the number of items. Knowing we called the agent three days before the move, she said I was not in the office and would call you back, and she never did. Then we sent her an email with every item description and attached picture. She lied to my face and said she never received. We forwarded it to her again on the day of moving, and surprisingly she received it. Still, instead of apologizing and figuring out a solution, she yelled at me and asked many times about my ethnicity, "Are you Indian?" which made me uncomfortable and even more irritated. I answered her, " I am not, but does it matter?" I had to call Christine, who introduced herself as the point of contact if there was a problem. I got the same attitude, and hung up on me. At this time, they left no choice but to pay the amount they want you to pay or you lose your deposit. After that, they inform you that our job is complete, now deal with the driver's company. Thier whole process is misleading and I don't want this to happen to another family. Please read the whole contract while you are talking with the charming salesperson over the phone. He will give you a quote that is comparable to other movers and will tell you the movers will take care of everything. He will take your deposit very quickly by rushing you through the contracts. Then explain 3 days before your move their "operations" manager will call to go over the estimate again to make sure there was nothing left off the list and schedule a mover to pick up your things. Of course, you will have told the salesperson everything you wanted moved in order to get a good estimate. You tell the operations manager the same thing you told the salesperson, and she comes back with a price that is almost double what the salesperson quoted you. So, I said "no"! Hung up the phone and went to their website to cancel. Come to find out, their website goes straight to the operations manager who called me as soon as my email came in. She told me I could not cancel because I was past the 3 day window to cancel. True according to the contract. Their 3 day window is when you sign up. Not 3 days before you move. We even moved all the boxes ourselves to make the cost come down like she said to do, but that did nothing. The movers came and said since we had no boxes they could not stack our furniture in a way to have it travel safely. So, they filled the whole truck halfway up and said it was over the amount Megaman quoted them, meaning I had to pay another 750.00. Which the operations manager told me I would not have to pay anything more. To make a long story short, we moved 2 hours away was quoted 3800.00 and it ended up costing me 7000.00. wish I could give zero. they arrived late and then when it came time to make the 2nd payment it went up by 1000 after they had everything I own on the truck. then when it was time to deliver I got a message saying they would be here on Friday. no show. then they were coming Saturday. no show. then as I had advised I was out of town for a week. then they were coming that Friday. no show. then Saturday. no show. Boss man said you never spoke with me. no but people representing as your employees sent me text and emails. Then we tried to pay the driver with Zelle but Zelle wouldn't send to the driver. Finally was able to send a pymt to the boss man but tried to send a small remaining balance but his Zelle is set up not to take funds from the bank The driver kept saying it was an issue with my bank but Zelle specifically said would not send to the receipient. Showed him the message. Maybe it's because of his criminal record that we uncovered and the boss neglected to mention. Then they did not deliver some expensive items... a red leather office chair with a high back...4 Adirondack chairs various colors...the mirror to my entry way Oak table. Several boxes were crushed and brand new totes were busted to the point the whole bottom is out of one. The driver also had a tote up front with him and it had been opened and two other boxes had been cut open. Needless to say today he is not returning my messages. They aren't even an actual moving company; they simply get you in the door telling you lies from the very beginning...cheaper price just to book you and then tell you more lies that our belongings would be delivered to our destination within 4 days, but KNOWING ALL ALONG they wouldn't be able to live up to their standards by any means!  The movers arrived and give you all this paperwork to initial and sign and then AFTER they got everything loaded on the truck, one of the movers called us to say that our things took up double the space allowed and we now have to pay double than what we were told before they would drive off with our belongings, at this point we already had stuff lined up at our new place or I wish I would've said to unpack everything at the moment to save us the time, money, hassle and long waited delivery that would end up being damaged and MISSING SEVERAL LUXURY ITEMS!!!!  This company and whoever they hired definitely didn't handle anything with care and was picking through all our belongings to see what they wanted to steal from us!!! Here we thought the same movers that loaded our belongings were going to be the same people that delivered our items on that very same truck within 4 days...WRONG, they apparently brought our stuff to a warehouse that sat for weeks and then said it was sent to another warehouse in another state...mind you our things are being loaded and unloaded several times all while calling weekly to get answers as to where our belongings truly were and when would they be delivered to us! At this point we thought we had been scammed and all our stuff was all stolen! Every time we called, they wouldn't answer, or would place you on hold or simply hang up, not professional by any means! No one could keep their word, every time our stuff was being "loaded on the truck and it should arrive in 1-4 days"! This company couldn't find any drivers to move our belongings to the actual location that they promised it would be here week after week! I know they just got another DBA to their business a couple months ago, probably because they recd so many bad 1 Star reviews of the actual truth of how they scam people into believing their false information from the very first call! The call centers are rude, not professional or caring whatsoever!  Long story short, our stuff was FINALLY delivered this afternoon, what turned into being delivered on Aug 4 turned into Aug 24!
