I hired M&B Construction to do work on my Landmark home in Brooklyn. They did an excellent job with filing all permits and constructing a beautiful sidewalk and stone wall. The individual originally assigned to my case at Landmarks was not making things easy for us. She kept requesting different mortar samples and making other requests. Rich, the owner of M & B, never lost his cool, and met every request with patience and ultimately did really beautiful work. I hired M & B originally to correct a landmark violation relating to the mortar for our front stoop, but I expanded the work to correct a sidewalk violation also, as well as re-pointing and fixing the stairs leading to the basement. I used M&B for a sidewalk replacement in front on my townhouse. I saw M&B correcting some sidewalk violations to a neighbors walk and asked for a card from their foreman (Oscar). On that same day, I called the phone # on the card and was connected with Rich. Rich promptly responded to my questions, and had a quote to me later that day (which I felt was very efficient). After my deposit was paid, the permits were quickly filed, and the job date was scheduled. The crew, led by Oscar, were very respectful for the duration of the work and had a great eye for detail, not to mention, they cleaned up the site before departing. It was such a pleasant experience. M&B rescued us after a horrendous experience with a dishonest and awful company called Upstream Construction that is run by a slimy character named Jai Ramnarine. Upstream pretended to have a license but they do not. They took our money, did a little bit of shoddy work, and then abandoned the project leaving our home in a dangerous state of disrepair. We found M&B on Yelp and the reviews bear out! They proved to be trustworthy, easy to communicate with, and did a great job. It was a huge relief to work with them after the nightmare we went through. Even their crew was much more courteous than other crews we've dealt with in the past. Have used M&B before and always very satisfied with the quality of their work. An issue developed around the drain with pavers in my yard (M&B did the job 5 years ago).
